Sin & Gin was a fun and cute performance of a 1920s theme murder mystery. It took place in the Saint Ann's Church in Saville NY, as a combined effort of the Church, along with People's Arc of Suffolk . The write up is a service for Edith Corse Evans' a fellow member who had died 10 years before, who heroically gave up her seat for her friend on the Titanic (Edith was a real person who gave up her seat for Caroline Brown) when one seat on the life boat was left, knowing she had children to go home to. As in most stories this one had name changes. (You know; when you see that list at the end noting any resemblance to real people is strictly coincidence) The Cast who I must applaud all stayed in character, no matter what questions that I asked them. They and many of the parishioners who came to pay their respects, were also dressed in 1920s attire. Of course after the service, a FRONT, they sneakily took a trip to the back River Room where all kinds of things happened including a rousing evening of booze, jazz and ---MURDER! Yesterday, I finally had the chance to meet Jeanie and Roe of Art365ny as they were finishing up their latest holiday window painting, replacing the beautiful fall design I had been enjoying for weeks. They are incredibly talented artists with a real eye for color, detail, and seasonal charm. Watching them work and seeing how much pride they take in their craft made me appreciate the artwork even more. Their window designs at Blossom Nails--and at several other local stores--add so much warmth, beauty, and personality to Glen Cove. It's the kind of artistry that makes you smile as you walk down the street.

The class is wonderful - it's interactive, age appropriate and filled with lots of music and activity. We signed up with class with the bundle and it was great pricing for classes and the recital. We are loving Miss Jackie and we look forward to classes every Saturday morning!

She is now 6 and is still enrolled at Encore. She loves it and so do my wife and I. The staff at Encore go above and beyond to ensure that their dancers develop the skill and confidence to perform, while doing it in a stress-free, fun atmosphere. This past Saturday, our daughter performed in her first dance competition. It was a group competition and her team took first place in their category. We do not even live in Kings Park and there are other dance studios closer to us, but we continue to go there because of the great experience they provide to both the dancers and parents. I was in line with my friends when I tried to hand the bouncer my ID. He got aggressive with me, told me to "get out of his face," separated me from my friends, and let another group in front of me. I apologized, confused, and he said I was "f-- pissing [him] off." He pretended to let me in. When I put my hand on the door handle, he grabbed my neck from behind and started screaming "let go of the door!" I hadn't even made the connection yet that it was the BOUNCER at the point he (and his two coworkers) pulled back so hard that the door broke and swung the wrong way on its hinges. I tumbled through three metal barriers and was bruised pretty bad but thankfully had no major injuries. I attempted to contact both the bar and the security company but both led to a dead end as I was stonewalled each time. Looking at the other reviews, it seems their behavior has not improved, as another user mentioned being cussed at and spit on. I'm writing this to let you all know the risks of going to this establishment so you don't walk into the same situation I did. Please be careful, and wish you all the best on your nights out in Huntington!
