I was left without anything to show for my investment after working for years with this artist. By…read morethe time he was done with the project I was not informed of the issues that rendered the final product unusable for the role we initially discussed. When it was clear that it wasn't going to be getting any better on its own I tried to communicate directly to resolve the matter. We agreed it wasn't really fixable and I declined his only offer that would have cost me more money to try again when I wasn't very trusting of him to do this specific work anymore. I did, however, think we could still maybe rework it into something displayable. Or if he didn't want to work on it anymore then a refund to cover a fair amount of the cost as I couldn't use it at all and still needed to replace the now damaged goods. In the end I received only a small partial refund that almost covers the current price of replacements for the items I originally supplied for him to be worked on, but after that it did not reduce the amount I had paid for the now unusable work. I told him that I didn't agree with this, since I couldn't even display the work he sent and I ended up paying to send it back to him. Then I was ignored, later blocked, and after I asked others who knew him for help in reopening discussions I received a Cease and Desist notice from him instructing me to stop trying to discuss the issue with anyone associated with him directly or risk legal trouble. I advise everyone to thoroughly discuss and clarify terms upfront. It's important to understand what will happen if/when something gets damaged, or goes wrong.

Also, the main artist is Alex Grey who for a long time has done artwork for the band Tool. I think at first the art seems very impressive and trippy, but after a while it all starts to feel the same. There is a cafe on site but I did not visit as the building it was housed in asked you to take off your shoes and it was snowy the day I went. At 20 dollars it feels a bit expensive but overall I am glad I went. That said, some detractors online have called the place "a cult" and the vibes I felt were a little weird. I don't use the term lightly, but just going to state what others have said. Apparently they also have once a month events (around the full moon?) that neighbors have described as very loud. So definitely some negative reports on them not being the best neighbors. In short, worth a visit to check out the art, but not sure about some of the other programming.

Before I could even finish my sentence here she was snatching the 2 pots away from me. Basically forbid me from buying the plants because it took her "so long to grow" instead of kindly providing me an alternative she hid the plants away as if I was ready to steal them.... I was ready to just leave my purchases behind but I decided to buy one plant...to still try to support. I've NEVER seen anything like this. Not only did she miss out on a purchase DURING a crisis but she lost 2 customers and unfortunately I will NEVER recommend ANY of my friends here. Maybe the egg shop is a different experience but this to me was just not only humiliating but unnecessary and RUDE. #SupportOnlyNiceLocalBusinesses
