We did a 3 hour painting party and it was the perfect amount of time. All of the girls had a blast, we brought snacks and made mimosas. All of our pictures came out really great, even though i have no art skills at all. It was relaxing but fun at the same time, a perfect day time thing to do before a girls night out. My favorite part about this place is the owners, Brian and Patty. These two are the cutest couple ever and are so happy doing what they love for a living. They are incredibly talented and funny. They are great teachers and a lot of fun to be around. I cant wait to go back and do more classes. We are already waiting for the next event, a couples painting class in September! I hired Happy Little Brush Strokes as a painting activity for a bachelorette party, and the company was so easy to work with from start to finish. I reserved my date several months in advance because their calendar fills up quickly! You're able to choose one of the paintings from their website and adapt it to what you need. I chose to paint full-sized wine bottles (and place fairy lights inside of the bottle so it lights up!) since the bachelorette party was "wine themed." The price was $30 per person for the experience. I believe if you choose to paint a canvas, it's $25 per person. Happy Little Brush Strokes came all the way out to Greenport, Long Island to do this activity. The instructor, Bob, was an absolute delight, who was filled with so much positive energy! He provided everything we needed for the event (paint, brushes, water cups, the wine bottles, fairy lights). The only thing we needed to provide were tables, table cloths, and chairs for our group of 7. The experience took just over two hours, and everyone had an amazing time!

Yesterday, I finally had the chance to meet Jeanie and Roe of Art365ny as they were finishing up their latest holiday window painting, replacing the beautiful fall design I had been enjoying for weeks. They are incredibly talented artists with a real eye for color, detail, and seasonal charm. Watching them work and seeing how much pride they take in their craft made me appreciate the artwork even more. Their window designs at Blossom Nails--and at several other local stores--add so much warmth, beauty, and personality to Glen Cove. It's the kind of artistry that makes you smile as you walk down the street.
