I'm not a typical "give me a number 2 all the way around" kind guy, so I do care where I get it cut and for that matter, who cuts it. I've been going here for quite a while now. My commitment is shown in my willingness to, year after year, drive down here from Boston [North Easton, Quincy, Downtown Boston, and/or Medford, depending on the year] to get my hair snip snapped. Now that i'm temporarily local again, the distance has diminished quite a bit, but - I digress. Don't get me wrong, i've tried other places, but it never comes out as good. Hey, maybe I suck at explaining how I want my hair cut. I can live with that. My fault or not - they do good work. A lot of other places cut it too short, or cut it so straight I look like Lloyd Christmas on a good day. (Dumb & Dumber reference.) I like to come out with just a shorter version of the crazy spiked whateverness I walked in with. I can always tell they did a good job when I come home from getting a haircut and my dad looks at me, pauses, and then tells me that I should "go get a haircut." I would recommend Kiki and/or Rihanna (no, not THAT one) but anyone they hire would be a good choice. I like going to the same person because I can just go in and sit there and i don't have to explain a thing. On another note, Contours has been doing my mom's hair for years, and she does the whole 6-hour experience (cut, color, ....other hair things) and she's always happy - and trust me, if she's not happy, she would be the first one to tell you. The people are super friendly, there is always fresh coffee and some sort of food (bagels, pastries, and/or mini sandwiches) to munch on when you get there / before you leave. Not the cheapest place in the world, but in the grand scheme of things, $41 for a guy's haircut every 9 weeks isn't a big deal.

We received a confirmation we were booked.The day before the appointment, we received a confirmation notice to confirm our appointment and when we clicked to confirm, we noticed they did not adhere to our request. We received a call from Sarah stating WE chose the masseuses and they do not look at the notes until the day before our appointment and if we cancel we will lose the amount we paid of $340. I told her there was no option to choose any masseuses when we booked, that is why we entered the comment. I then went online to book an appointment to check if what she said is something that changed since we booked our appointment . The system did not have an option to choose a masseuse. While online I noticed, It also states if the appointment is canceled late we lose 45% of the cost not 100% as she stated. On a good note, the masseuses we had were very good. I would suggest anyone booking to call and inform of any notes/requests and a follow up email requesting confirmation of exact services requested.

We moved to Seattle over a year ago, but our HSA account was unknowingly being charged automatically for our membership, accumulating over $2,000 in charges. When we discovered this, we reached out to the Avon location to resolve the issue. Initially, we were assured that our accumulated sessions could be credited and redeemed at any Elements Massage location nationwide. Relying on that statement, we attempted to book sessions at the Bellevue, WA location, but they refused to honor them. When we contacted the Avon studio again, the response was frustrating and dismissive. While the owner eventually offered to credit just 4 classes, they refused to honor or refund the remaining balance of the roughly 25 accumulated sessions we paid for. To make matters worse, our attempts to follow up further have resulted in disconnected calls, leaving us with no reasonable way to resolve a significant financial dispute. We are not asking for free services; we are simply seeking a fair resolution for over $2,000 automatically billed to our HSA while living thousands of miles away. We are formally requesting a complete accounting of all charges, an explanation of the continued billing after our move, and a fair remedy for the full balance of paid, unused sessions. If this cannot be resolved directly, we will take the necessary formal and legal steps to recover our funds. Please closely monitor your account and recurring HSA charges if you hold a membership here, and ensure any verbal promises regarding transfers or session roll-overs are documented in writing.
