DO NOT PURCHASE FROM GLISSON'S IN EVANSVILE INDIANA. THIS COMPANY TREATED ME VERY BADLY AND THEIR "SOLUTION" WAS UNFAIR. I needed a 2018 Kia Sportage engine and found one with 41,000 miles at a good price from them. All good so far. Called, paid with my credit card, told them I wanted to make sure no one bought the engine out from under me. Yes sir, all good, it'll be ready in a week. I called back in 7 days and they tell me I have to fill out a credit card form, and I haven't paid and it'll be another week. Meanwhile I'm paying for a rental car... they did figure it out and they took the card info which they did have and he moved the removal up to try to make up for the screw up. Not great but OK... then, I get a call, the engine is ready. I live in Nashville, it's 2 hours and 40 minutes each way to pick it up. I hired a friend to pick it up, paid him $300 to do so. He goes and picks it up. My mechanic tells me they gave me an engine with 71,000 miles on it. The number on the receipt doesn't match the engine number. I call and talk to them, tell them the situation, they didn't offer anything to make it right. I threatened the BBB, so they said hold on, let me call you back. Per the internet, I should be getting close to 30% off for the mile variance - 20% vehicle depreciation for every 20K miles. The engine was $2600 plus. To make it simple, $2600 - 25% is $1950. To be fair, it should be a minimum of $1000 off. At first they wouldn't do anything and the best they offered me was $200 off. THIS IS A COMPANY THAT GIVES VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DOESN'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY WHEN THEY MAKE A MISTAKE. read more

I deal with them from time to time. Never left out mad. Recommend as a parts finder. Maybe they have a engine that'll fit a 1995 GMC Pick up 2 wheel drive automatic 2500. Maybe they will install it for a reasonable price. I'm calling them tomorrow morning. Thanks. read more

DO NOT TRY TO GET A DECENT BODY PART FROM GLISSON'S!!! went and picked up the first fender and after getting it back to shop I found that it was bent and dented too badly to try to use so i called back to have it replaced and was told not only that it's hard to get good used body parts that he didn't think he had any more after telling me at first that he had four. After a while of explaining why i couldn't use the part he finally agreed to replace it and now after going to pick it up during my lunch break i get it back and find during cleaning that it's got a bunch of dents that could be seen from the back side and are full of body filler. So i guess it's just hard to get a good body panel from Glisson's.. read more

Terrible! Do not honor their 30 day return policy, and sell you broken parts. Put several motors in vehicles, and they are still on the road. If you care about your time and money, DO NOT USE THESE GUYS ON FIRST AVENUE! There is several other salvage yards in the area that will treat you right. read more

Found these guys through car-part.com. I needed to get a mirror for my car in California. Called and spoke with Brent who was very helpful. He confirmed the part, quoted me a price and shipping. Of course they added tax, then the correct mirror arrived a few days later. They need to send a form to use your credit card which I filled out and emailed back, but once they had it, all went well. Note to Glisson - it's 2017 - you should be able to take credit cards over the phone or online. That said, I would use them again if they had the part I need. read more

Bad experience with these guys. Found them on Car-Part.com. Thought they had a nice deal on a part a needed and they were close. Unfortunately the good experience ended there. When I contacted them to verify the part was available, I was told it was on their shelf and there would be a $25 core charge. It would've been nice to know about the core charge ahead of time, maybe on Car-Part, but whatever. Still not bad. Then the story changed when I got there. The core charge was now $40. When I mentioned the conversation about the $25 core charge, I was told that the person I chatted with didn't make up a ticket so there's nothing he could do. It's $40 for core or no part. I was there and needed it so, I paid. I was then sent to a building on the property to see someone about getting part. After waiting for 10 minutes, I found a mechanic in the area who tried to help. Took me where the part was supposed to be. It was nowhere to be found. Looked all over. He went to their main office and returned with a list of alternate parts. All of these were from older cars and weren't a direct replacement though they were listed on the web that they were. I didn't take the bait and switch and got them to refund my money. At this time I was told they had other units, still on cars, and they'd call if one matched. The next day, the original part I was after was back on their site, and at a new higher price. The other, on car parts were also now listed. I was never contacted after. If you deal with these guys, be careful or go elsewhere. read more
