My son and I road-tripped from CA thru Tx and upward to IN totaling 2000 miles. He earned a D1…read morescholarship to play baseball for USI. He is recovering from a broken foot and the prognosis is that he would heal four weeks into fall semester. Initially, I thought he could "tough it out" with an e-bike or e-scooter for transportation as the school was "across the street" from his apartment. After a couple of days of settling him into his apt and analyzing the demands of his school and baseball schedule, I realized that he needed a car. So, I rescheduled my flight to find the right car that would fit our needs. I am currently not working and have a very humble budget. I called D-Patrick Honda...Ben politely took my call and directed me to Ryan Hager. I met with Ryan and shared my situation. Ryan was amazing and went above and beyond. Mark was also helpful and supportive that they both found the perfect car for my son. Lee, Amy, and Jasmine were equally friendly, supportive, and effective. My son was at baseball practice and had no idea of my intentions. He was needed to sign the contract. I called Ryan and informed him that I wanted to surprise JJ (my son). So I told JJ that he's going to D-Patrick Honda to fill out a job application. Lee played a long and instructed JJ to complete the top portion of an actual application, then handed him the vehicle contract and told him to complete this "for his car." JJ began to complete the form, stopped, and then asked "what? Are you serious?" He looked at me with a huge smile. It was a special moment. There's no guarantee of the durability or reliability of the used car I purchased for my son...it's a used car, so I'll take my chances. However, the pleasant and warm memories created by the staff at D-Patrick Honda will last forever. I am grateful.

I bought a slightly used Acura Integra type S from D. Patrick in May. It came with a 90 day dealer…read morewarranty. Driving it home, I noticed a buzz from under the dash at 4K RPM. I called and scheduled to drop the car off. After driving 75 minutes and having my wife follow in a second car, the service manager told me the car needed to be fixed by Acura. The Acura Integra type S and the Civic type R are basically the same car. Same powertrains, transmissions, dashboard and underpinnings. I contacted Honda Corporate and the made D. Patrick take the car in for warranty work. (another 2 1/2 hours on the road). After keeping it for 12 days, I was told it needed to go to Acura. Another round trip. I contacted Neil Huffman Acura, Louisville, Kentucky. They got the car in, fixed it to my satisfaction with no run around and were quite informative and courteous. I will go back to Neil Huffman in the future. I will never recommend or return to D. Patrick Honda in Evansville.

They have no customer service they refused to remove the hard inquiry from my current report

I spoke to the branch manager Sandra Martin in April 2022 and June 2022 and we discussed transferring the account and i told her NO, she acknowledged that this was okay and on 1/12/23 the corporate office took it upon their own accord to do whatever they wanted with my account and personal information. I feel beyond violated. They are not the best lenders with their EXTREMELY high interest rates, in 2 years i have only paid down 5% of the original loan, with $376/month. This is a ripoff, but due to my credit i had no choice but to allow them to take advantage of me but that doesn't mean they have a right to disrespect me. I tried calling the corporate office but they don't respond or return calls. Do not use them, they don't care about their customers.

The most happy and miserable instances in life occur simultaneously while purchasing an auto…read more I have purchased several cars through various dealers, but most recently I acquired my third vehicle, a new Ram Sport, through this Indiana Dodge dealer. In my opinion, the level of service I get seems to decline with each auto purchase. For the most part, they are fairly easy to deal with; if you play hard to get, better deals will come, as with any dealer. If you start heading for the door, especially toward the end of the month, a hundred dollars here and a hundred dollars there will be offered up. This purchase went fairly smoothly, minus a discrepancy of $1500, which I discovered three hours into the process and basically had the choice to either walk away or say "Fuck It, I'll remember this shit on the next go-round" since I tend to purchase a new auto about every five years or so - if I return to this dealership at all. It came down to a "my word against yours," and "what was meant and what was understood being two different things," so, I swallowed my irritation and pressed on with the purchase. I opted for the paint seal, which is costly (between $800-900), but guarantees to protect the paint, especially the front end, from dead bugs. I travel a lot, and so far, they wipe away fairly well - far from the ease the promotional video promises they require you to watch during the sales process. The most irritating post-purchase discovery is that navigation is now an add on. Every vehicle I have purchased in the last 15 years has included navigation, but now it is a costly add on - $500. After speaking to several friends, this seems to be a popular racket among the auto brands. A buddy who just purchased an F150 paid around $1500, a friend with a new Toyota paid $1500, and another buddy was quoted $3000 for a new Audi. Ridiculous. If you are paying $40-60K for a vehicle, that should be part of the standard package. Without it, the elaborate in dash computer system is basically just for unnecessary show. Another irritation was I added some custom options to be installed prior to delivery. In past purchases, I received great deals (waived labor costs for service) on the addition of running boards, etc.; this time, I paid labor costs - a lot of labor costs, to have the items installed. In a separate Yelp post, I reviewed the dealership's Express Lube service department located a block away from the dealership; it is a further testament to the decline in quality of service over the last few years. The sales person walked me through the various options for my new truck and gave me a rather-long tutorial/sales pitch for the new U-Connect system, which is basically Dodge's version of On-Star. It is interesting, but too costly for the amount of service you receive. On my new truck purchase, I was contacted several days later and notified there was an error in my paperwork, so I had to arrange additional time to return and correct the dealership's errors. This delayed the ability to license my vehicle for several weeks. Like I said, not a wholly terrible experience, but far from the quality of my first auto purchase from this dealership in long-past years. If Dodge continues to put out a product that I desire - the upcoming versions of the Ram frighteningly seem very Fiat-ish in styling - I will continue to be a buyer; however, I may have to seek out another dealer who shows me a greater willingness to deal and leave me feeling as if I received the best deal possible.
