On hold waiting to cancel my 3 rd HA injection on my left knee.. He did the 3 HA injections in my right knee so I knew what to expect. He was over an hour late to see me and its aggravating..last week he was also an hour late and I saw him walk out of the office and go downstairs {probably to go to the cafe} while he had me and another lady waiting to be called in. Some of his injections hurt more than others but its tolerable..This one hurt sooo bad he had me hysterically crying all way out to my car . He said he didn't need to inject lydocaine in my knee since I had no fluid in there. I asked if it would hurt less and he said probably.. It HURT like a muther!!! He had zero compassion and was so rude to me when I was asking him so questions...He said ..."you not listening to me" Don't talk to me like I'm an idiot. I'm a 76 yr old woman..Would you talk to your mother like that? I just cancelled my 3rd and final injection.. I'll be going to a different doctor if I need surgery.. NO way will I go back to his guy! read more

Dr Huber is a fantastic skilled doctor. He was highly recommended to me and I make the same recommendation to others. His patience and compassion is amazing. Knowing I was "going under" twice for painful procedures, and being full of apprehension, Dr Huber put my kind at ease and made me feel like a special patient. I saw him twice and my appointments started over an hour late each time. The first time Huber spent a good amount of time with me, but jumped right in with tons of potential options that wouldn't be covered by insurance before he even knew what the problem was (I needed to go get a current MRI before my next visit). On my second visit he was super rushed. He told me my meniscus was torn and I should probably have surgery but started walking me out while I was still asking him questions about the surgery. He told me I could book it with the front desk or make an appointment to come back in and ask more questions. Um why would I wait another hour to see you so you could rush me out?! I appreciate that after I called with questions he did try to connect with me over the phone, which is why I'm giving him 2 stars, but we kept missing each other. While I was feeling very iffy about Huber and some of his recommendations that didn't line up with my virtual second opinion, I tried to schedule the surgery, knowing I might cancel it after I got another second opinion. Well I never got a call to confirm that the surgery was scheduled, despite me telling them I wanted a particular date. Another sketchy thing here: they had told me that my insurance would only cover the surgery in a hospital, not in the surgery center. That wound up not being the case when I did have the surgery done by someone at Kerlan Jobe (which I highly recommend). When I did see the Kerlan Jobe surgeon he revealed that my ACL was torn in addition to my mensicus. He got that from the same MRI I showed Huber along with a much better functional test. According to him, the success rate of a meniscus repair drops by 20% if you have an unstable knee (like from a partially torn meniscus). I don't know if Huber would have caught it during the surgery, or how he'd have dealt with it if he did, but the fact that he missed it is huge. TLDR: Huber completely missed that my ACL had a partial tear, I had to wait over an hour to see him at each appointment, he didn't give me the attention I needed, and his staff didn't understand my insurance and never scheduled the surgery they told me they were scheduling. Thank goodness for that last part, because thanks to Dr. Limpisvasti at Kerlan Jobe both my ACL and meniscus have been repaired and I am recovering very nicely. read more

Dr. Huber performed such an amazing surgery on my hip. I'm truly indebted with complete relief of pain and the return of my quality of life. Dr. Huber is compassionate and explained all details of my surgery and recovery. The physical therapy was also excellent. I with I could say the same for his office people however. read more

The building is located off of Hawthorne Blvd. and wasn't too hard to find when I saw some people in crutches. Plenty of parking in the structure. Like most medical offices you have to fill out some paperwork. The receptionist even offered to come collect the paperwork from me when I was done. It was crowded since it was getting close to the end of the year. A little of a wait and then I was placed in an examine room. They took some vitals and downloaded my X-rays on the computer. Dr. Huber came in and assessed me and said I shouldn't need surgery and needed a cast. He asked if I had any questions. Brynner made a cast for my broken ankle. He even let me pick out what color I wanted. I went with black since it would show less dirt and I could put a LA Kings sticker on it. Overall a good experience and I have a follow up visit at the beginning of the New Year. read more

My girlfriend loved Dr. Huber and referred me to him for a second opinion. I was impressed with his knowledge, communication skills, and empathy. His personal experience includes double hip replacement, so he is sympathetic to his patients. I ended up referring yet another person to him, and she too reported that she liked him. Even though I have limited personal experience with him, I feel confident based on the reports of two people I know well that I can give him 5 stars. read more

Dr. Huber told my grandson that if pulling the pin out of his arm hurt, he's stop and use anesthesia the following day. Instead he yanked it out without any regards to my son's screaming bloody murder which continued for 10 minutes. Liar! Then they forgot about us and after going to find someone they said we could leave, HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE 2ND CAST ON YET. WOW!!! Then the secretary tried to make an appt for 4 weeks and 1 day when the doctor said to return in 3 weeks. What a joke! Terrible experience. How is my 6 year old grandson ever going to trust a doctor again?!?!?!?! read more

My son had an accident that caused a very complicated fracture or bones and ligaments. I was worried about what Doctor we would be assigned to for the surgery since surgery was emergent and we needed to go with the on call dr. Dr Huber came in fully informative, with suggestions of new technology to stabilize the ankle for the most flexibility of the joint in the future. I have had 2 hip arthroscopies with Dr. Huber over the last 3 years. The first was to repair to a torn labrum that had happened 3 years previous and was completely and ineptly treated (that you Air Force). Previously, I had been treated with physical therapy, chiropractic (seriously?!), and a military orthopedist who relied on outdated MRi and X-rays and executed 3 rounds of cortical steroids which is a huge no-no due to breakdown of the cartilage and joint. I had seen 4 orthopedic (supposed) specialists prior to visiting Dr. Huber. Upon my first visit and review of my case history and recent MRI/X-rays, he declared "you have a textbook labral tear." About 10 days later I was in for surgery and he was exactly correct! That surgery restored my life! Unfortunately, due to the shoddy (lack of) care I had received prior to Huber plus a genetic disposition, my hip cartridge has continued to degrade and I've had to undergo surgery again. However, less than 3 weeks later I was back on my bike for a 56 mile ride! Dr. Huber is a fantastic surgeon who really cares. He is genuinely concerned about his patients and his surgical skills are amazing! I would recommend him for hip arthroscopy without any reservations! read more

Our appointment was for 1030am, at 1145 I checked to see when we could hope to be seen by the doctor. We were met with such a nasty attitude by the receptionist that I was shocked. Later she called across the waiting room that we could expect to wait another 45 mins to an hour before we were called, not seen, called. Any doctor who has such little respect for his patient to make them wait over 2 hours is not a doctor who should be in practice. Beyond rude and arrogant. Shame on this "physician' that he somehow feels this is acceptable. read more

We left after waiting an hour and a half. The staff said waiting times are generally over an hour. The appointment was for my child. Anyone that says he is compassionate when he cares more about overbooking for his own revenue bottom line is delusional. It is cruel to make a hurting child wait in a boring waiting room with CNN blaring for 45 minutes, then put them in a room - thinking they will be seen shortly - just to be ignored for another 45 minutes. He should be ashamed of himself. read more

Dr. Huber is a very likeable guy and has good communication skills. Unfortunately I had a few negative experiences. When added together, it's enough to make sure I will not go back. First, his assistant has a terrible bedside manner. Second, Dr Huber diagnosed me with a sprained ankle after examining me and reviewing my X-rays clearly showing a fracture up near the knee. When I pointed it out to him, he said admitted he had "totally missed that." Third, his assistant sent me home with a knee brace that I "didn't really need" and could not get to stay on. They later charged $800 for the knee brace. After adjustments, they're charging my insurance $476. I tried working something out with the office but they would not waive it or let me return the unused brace. There is no excuse for them to not tell me in advance about such a high priced item and let me choose to get one at the drug store for $60. Especially when they tell me I don't really need it. Beware of outrageous charges with no warning. Find an office that will discuss these things with you in advance. Bummer. I hope they make adjustments to their practice. read more
