I love this place. The people are always friendly helpful and knowledgeable. The prices are competitive and the owner is AWESOME! I have never regretted taking any of our family's cars to them! They will even drive you to work after you drop off your vehicle! read more

My son dropped off my PT Cruiser and asked the person at the desk to call me so I could speak with them about the work to be done. When I spoke with the person on the phone I told her that the car was hesitating when it idles and when I accelerate. The key falls out of the ignition while car is running. The windows on driver's side and the rag top won't work. The AC doesn't work. I told her that I could not afford to have everything repaired at once so please give the list to the mechanic and ask him to call me to discuss what was most important before any work was done. I got a call at the end of the day and was told that the mechanic spent several hours "diagnosing" the problems and I was being charged an $85 Diagnostic fee for EACH of the items on my list. I was given a price for the parts, labor and diagnostic for EACH repair for a total of over $1,500.00 + tax. I ended up having the spark plugs and wires replaced and he had already reset the memory for the windows and rag top without consulting me. The total cost for this was $472, most of which was diagnostic fees because the mechanic spent hrs on the AC system. I have never been charged a diagnostic fee per item before so I spent an hour on the phone yesterday with 6 local auto repair shops to find out what the industry standard is for diagnostic fees. Each shop told me that they charge a single diagnostic fee that is applied to the cost of the work being done should the customer choose to have the work done. I believe that the owner of this business has decided to pass on the expense of paying his employees to his customers. Times are tough for everyone but this is a poor business practice that will hurt business through a lack of repeat customers. read more

The dealer told me that I would be spending $2000+ on repairing my AC. I went in Glendora Import and they fixed my car for under $400. I appreciate the honesty and I will never go back anywhere else. I finally found a place that I can trust. Thank you!!! read more

I was referred to GIS from my brother and sister who also use them. I have always been happy with their work. One day, I hit something on the freeway and pulled over to check it out. A freak accident..! A piece of metal punctured my gas tank, no joke! I called the Auto Club and they dispatched a tow truck. The tow truck company refused to pick up my car without ever seeing it, even though it wasn't leaking fuel. They wouldn't even send out someone to asses that the vehicle is safe. They told me to call the "Fire Department." So, I called Chris at GIS and told her the situation. She couldn't guarantee that she could help me but sent a flatbed to asses my damage. The driver looked over the car, found no leak but did see where there was damage on the undercarriage. He said it was safe and wouldn't be an issue. My car was back on the road in two days. Price was fair and service was excellent! Why would I go anywhere else? Thank you Chris and staff... read more

My son recommended this place to me and I recently got an oil change there. Super quick and very friendly, competitive prices and most of all HONEST. These folks don't tell you your care needs something unless is really does! WOW can you believe that???? My son was recently sold a piece of junk by a crooked used car dealer and Glendora Import Specialists are helping him get the repairs done and documenting all the things wrong with the car that the dealer didn't disclose and the owner even said she'd go to court with my son if necessary. These people are as good as it gets. I'm going to take my cars there from now on! Thank you Glendora Imports! You ROCK! read more

I've been bringing my cars here for 24 years, even when I lived 30 miles away. They are very honest and fix things right the first time, which is why I keep coming back. They've kept my old cars running well and have thoroughly evaluated each of them before I purchased them as used cars. I have referred many customers to them over the years so figured I should Yelp about their great service. read more

Glendora Import has been my saving grace! After a seemingly non-ending succession of very regrettable experiences at a hack place in Covina called "The Garage" I really needed some experts to pick up the broken pieces of my 1974 Dodge Charger SE. Not only was Kevin, one of their wonderful mechanics, able to diagnose and fix ALL the problems the other horrible shop had created for me, the entire staff took the time to listen to my 13+ years experience with the car and figure out exactly what was going on. Whether you call in or show up in person, they could not be more attentive to your car's specific needs and they never make you feel stupid for asking questions or wanting to understand what has/will be done. I would very highly recommend this place to anyone, especially a muscle car owner because they can handle it and get you the parts you need. A huge thank you to Kevin, Chris, Greg, Derick, and everyone else at this car oasis for getting my beast operational again, you are the best at what you do!! read more

Great service. I have been coming here for 20, maybe 21 years. They have always been honest and very knowledgable about every car I have had (Toyota, Honda, Acura, Mazda). read more

I just moved to the area and both my cars needed an oil change, I walked in and was greated by the friendly and polite staff. Both cars were completed in a timley manor. Never wanted to sell me something I don't need like the dealors or other garages. I am happy to find an Automotive service garage that is trust worthy and knowledgeable. Highly recommend. read more

I bought a 1984 Honda Civic with high idle as 2nd car. The car had to be towed from the 605 with a dead battery. Took it to Glendora Import Specialists because I walk by it every morning with my dogs. New carburetor was put in and the heat riser hose had to be replaced to pass the smog check. Gregg and everyone there were very courteous and helpful throughout the whole process They are going to be the go to shop for the Honda as I trust them and they are very reasonable. BTW I am not sure if it is correct as I can't believe that I am getting 40 mpg with this Honda. read more

Hands down the best mechanic I have found in the area. My battery kept dying on me and they looked at it, solved the issue and were able to get it fixed that day. They were very professional and got the job done, which is all I ask for. Hopefully I don't need a mechanic again any time soon, but it is good to know there is one I can depend on in a pinch. read more

As usual, your service was quick, reasonable, and professional. I've been using your service for many years, and have been satisfied every time. Your estimates are always right on, in cost and time. Thanks for finding the cracked fan belt, I wouldn't want to have it break between here and L.A. read more

I have been maintaining my Acura and Toyota at Glendora Exports for the past 10 years. They are a very professional company, extremely reliable and honest. My 1995 Toyota pickup was suffering some serious mechanical problems. It was necessary to get some immediate attention to avoid sudden death. Therefore I sought help from Glendora Import Specialists. After their diagnosis it was revealed to me that my Toyota needed major surgery. My Toyota has over 200,000 plus miles. The stirring joints were shaking, Red light glaring, and worn out hoses leading to the heart of the engine and air condition units were on their last breath. Since my Toyota is up in age parts donors were difficult to find. Through due diligence they conquered the task. Glendora Import Specialists brought my pickup back to life. I am truly happy with the outcome. The Office staff was extremely welcoming and attentive to my mechanical needs. They kept me well informed with periodical phone updates on its progress. I look forward to Glendora Import Specialists being my permanent home for all my major and minor mechanical needs for all my vehicles. Thanks again...you're the Best! read more

I have been a customer of Glendora Import Specialists since 2004 & have been extremly satisfied with the service and quality of work performed there. I own a 2004 Silverado and have routinely taken it there for services, tune ups, oil changes, etc since i bought the truck in 04'. I have yet to have had a single major overhaul on the vehicle over a couple hundred bucks. I attribute that to there knowledgeable staff who always remind me preventative maintence is best for the longevity of the vehicle. I also find their prices to be very competitve when shopping around. Yet to have a bad experience. Excellent shop. read more
