I guess you get what you pay for. The guy in charge was rude, did not answer my questions, and rushed me into picking a service. No instructions were given on where to pay or where to wait. I had a VIP Wash and paid $30. When I got my car back it still had black spots on the side of the car, the top part wasn't cleaned, the windshield had soap and dirt, and the interior still had crumbs or dirty spots inside. I saw them use a pink spray to clean the interior and exterior. I would rather pay $15 at the Bellagio car wash if I have to go back and clean the rest myself after putting my car through the cleaning machine anyways.

Carwash time!

Been going to this carwash for a while now. The line moves pretty fast and the prices are decent for a full vacuum, interior, exterior with tire dressing. Service is consistent compared to others I've been to. 8 out of 10 for me.

I've been to Glendale Classic Car Wash a few times and had great results in the past but this last visit was a big disappointment. Multiple dirty spots were left on my car and when I pointed one out (photo attached), the guy told me it couldn't be cleaned without polishing. Later that day, I wiped it off easily myself with a simple rag. It feels like quality control really depends on who's working that day. Some visits are solid but others like this one make you regret tipping. Consistency is everything, especially when you're paying for a full wash and expecting a clean car.

Still with soap inside

Today I finally washed my Tesla after many years of not visiting this car wash. I noticed how much the business has grown and I'm genuinely happy to see that. Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience. I paid $59.99 for the Majestic Wax service, but the young man who washed my car--whether it was his first day or not--didn't even bother to open the trunk to clean it. He left the inside soaked and soapy, and I never received the air freshener I requested. The manager or the person handling payments did try to make things right by sending over some older gentlemen who seemed hardworking and greeted me with kind smiles. But at that point I just decided to leave. I had already tipped the young man even though I honestly don't know what he was trying to do because it certainly wasn't a proper car wash. I sincerely hope the manager reads this and takes appropriate action.

After

Got the early bird basic car wash. The manager Greg saw my tires and he and George spot cleaned them for free. We didn't know what grease was on my tires, but he said he didn't want me to leave with them still like that. With extra service, my tires looked great! Very kind and great service.

They broke the armrest off my center console while shampooing my rear seats, then refused to fix it or help me at all. They accused me of driving in with it already broken and blaming them. This is a certified pre owned Toyota that I just purchased 6 months ago. I discovered it when they gave me the keys back, talked to the manager. He and the person who did the shampooing lied to my face and claimed they didn't touch it. I then asked for contact information for the owner, as well as the manager I was speaking to, and he REFUSED to give me the information for the person who owns the car wash. He also refused to provide me with his first and last name, just wrote "Greg" on a business card and gave it to me. Called Glendale police, and they said it's a civil matter and they wouldn't come out, even if the car wash refused to disclose information. Be aware that this is the level of respect they have for your property (none), and the level of accountability they have (none), when they break something. The manager accused me of lying and driving in with that already broken, and said I couldn't prove they did it. It goes without saying that I won't be going here ever again. But I will also find every avenue I can to tell this story, because they've certainly earned it.

Here we go!

I have tried their basic carwash, their V.I.P and, their platinum carwash. I was satisfied with all their services. They do a good job doing getting rid of sand, soil and leaves that invade my car from all the places I have gone. They truly use their vacuum cleaner and compressed air to clean everything out. Every part of the cleaning process is handled by a different person like an assembly line. Very methodical.Systematic. The only part that the staff doesn't do is when the car is rolled into a rail for soap and water wash and brush. And then it is hand dried to a nice finish. The best part that I like is the car scent that they would ask before you get out to wait. I always choose the baby powder scent and I ask them for a double spray application and that baby smell just lingers for a month! I really like going here because no matter how busy it gets, they never turn one away and always finish on time because they have a lot of people working real hard and fast. They have an indoor waiting area where you can have some drink or read or you can follow your car and wait outside right across where your car is being serviced. One day, I will try out their mini detailing services. Pro tip. Make sure your car is not full of your stuff so they can clean out every nook and cranny especially your car's trunk. I made this mistake once and they didn't lift my stuff out, thus the 4 star rating.

Door fram

Purchased VIP wash. They sprayed rainbow soap and stopped the line before washing it out for 15 minutes until they have more space in the lot. By the time they moved the line the soap dried out on the car. Light vacuum, leaving lot of dust. Left stains on the seats and dirt on the doors. Didn't wipe well. After spending over an hour there, had to take it to a gas station to finish vacuuming and wipe inside out myself. Self wash for $10 bucks could've done better job and save time. Never going back again

This is the last time that I am going here! I paid $34 for the platinum wash and $15 tip. My car has a lot of water spots and still dirty!! Come on guys, the owner needs to watch their workers! If you're not happy with your job, QUIT!!! Money is not easy to earn to receive this kind of poor service.

Ask the Community - Glendale Classic Car Wash

Is the basic car wash hand washed or machine wash?

Do you HAND wash the car?

They used to! I was actually shocked today to find out they have replaced hand washing with these weak mechanical washers. And when I asked the lady at the register.. her response was, "it's the same thing." I'm sorry, but no, it definitely is… Read more

I'm really disappointed with my experience at this self-service car wash. I specifically used the…read more"spot-free rinse" for over 6 minutes and made multiple passes over the entire truck. The whole point of paying extra for spot-free rinse is to avoid water spots and mineral buildup after drying. After finishing, I blew the truck dry like I always do, and when I checked it later, the entire truck was covered in white water spots and mineral residue -- exactly like it had been rinsed with regular tap water. Honestly, the truck looked better before I washed it. What makes this even more frustrating is that there's another self wash near my house called Zeavy Self Wash that uses almost the exact same setup -- same layout, colors, card readers, everything -- and I have NEVER had this problem there. Their spot-free rinse actually works. I've used this location before without issues, but this time it clearly seems like the spot-free system either wasn't maintained properly or wasn't working at all. I ended up spending around $20 just to create more work for myself and now I have to rewash or detail the truck to remove all the mineral spotting. And I have been using self car washes for over 15 years almost minimum once a week. So I'm not new to this or I didn't do anything wrong. I even added time almost double what it gives you with eight dollars and paid I think $15 If you care about keeping your paint clean and spot-free, be careful here.

Depending on the package, they vacuum the inside, wipe down the interior, and do a classic exterior wash. My package was supposed to come with an air freshener but I didn't get one and forgot to ask before leaving. The carpet was vacuumed well inside the vehicle, I do feel the seats could have gotten more attention. There was still some dust and dirt left on my glove box. The tires were polished and shiny. The hub caps needed more attention, some dirt and grime was left behind. My biggest dissatisfaction was the exterior wash, which is why I came here in the first place. I picked a mid tier package, to hopefully get a little more attention to detail, especially since my car was pretty dirty, but maybe I needed to pick something a bit more expensive. There was still a lot of dust and dirt on all sides of the vehicle. The front bumper had some bugs and tree sap that were not removed. My door jams still had some dirt. There was tree sap left on the roof of my car as well. The bugs and tree sap I can understand, as that can be quite difficult to remove, but the dirt left over was a bit confusing to me. I'd compare the quality of the exterior wash to a drive thru car wash with a bit more attention to detail. Overall, I'd say the result was just "ok" at best. I think I would come back to try a more expensive package to see if I get some better results. I am thankful for the wash though, my car needed it, but I think I had higher expectations that just weren't met.
