From a clinical standpoint, Dr. Atassi's technical skills are solid, and I did not have concerns about the quality of the dental work itself. However, my experience with Invisalign treatment and overall professional conduct has been deeply disappointing. When I was referred for Invisalign at this office, I was charged $6,000, which is significantly higher than the market average. While pricing can vary, this already raised concerns. More seriously, I was suddenly discharged from the practice without any prior notice. I only found out on the day of my scheduled appointment to renew my retainer, when my appointment was abruptly canceled and I was told not to come in. This was the first time I was informed that I had been discharged. I was told a discharge letter would be sent to me. Five business days have now passed, and I have received nothing -- no letter, no explanation, no documentation. This lack of communication and continuity of care falls far below acceptable professional and ethical standards. As a result, I am now forced to seek assistance directly from Invisalign to be re-referred to another provider just to continue basic post-treatment maintenance. This situation has caused significant emotional distress and disruption, entirely avoidable with proper notice and professionalism.

Though the staff have changed over from when I joined and they were so lovely, I am thrilled with the experience I had with Dr. Kostal and an implant on my front tooth recently. I am also impressed with the technology they use which is very high tech for X-rays/imaging. I haven't seen it any other dentists. I have had several crowns, fillings and root canals over the years. I was very worried about how much an implant would hurt. Because it sure sounds painful! But Dr. Kostal took the time to explain what would happen in a pre-consultation, as well showed me some photos of past work he had done and I agreed to get it done 10 days later. He has done around 300 implants and knows how to tweak things to get the best results. He has a great manner. I filled a prescription for meds to start taking 24 hrs before the procedure. He made sure I was fully comfortable and numbed up before he started. My front tooth was dead and had had 2 root canals, and 2 veneers on and imaging showed it was disintegrating behind the veneer and would eventually break and then you have an emergency on your hands. I also had a dark line along the gum line which shows up every time you smile. The procedure took about 2.5 hrs from start to finish as after pulling the tooth and inserting the implant in the gum, he made an excellent temporary tooth whilst the gum heals for afew months. It already looks so much better than before. I can't wait to get the final permanent front tooth crown next month. There was little pain after the procedure and I did not need to take even an ibuprofen by the following evening.

She charged me $300 of my insurance for X-rays, she examined my mouth and told me that I have no cavities, no gum disease, no periodontal disease, and that my wisdom teeth may be a problem in the future years from now. She recommend I get them removed so they would be a issue in the future just in case. So then I scheduled my cleaning. Then when I showed up for a regular cleaning, she told me she would refuse to clean my teeth unless I had surgery, she was forcing me to have oral surgery that didn't need to be done, in order to get a regular cleaning of my teeth. I asked why didn't you tell me that and they never left a voicemail or called. I asked them why can't I just have my regular cleaning, and she said she didn't feel comfortable until I had unnecessary surgery that she herself even admitted to me. I really had needed my teeth cleaned, I hadn't been in a while and to be treated this way was unacceptable. To make sure I wasn't crazy, I called multiple dentist and explained my situation, and they all told me that if I had no cavities or any disease or swelling and that I just had wisdom teeth that currently we're not a issue and wouldn't be for year's maybe and maybe not, then it is not regular practice for a dentist to force oral surgery that I explained I didn't want, and even worse the dentist even said wasn't a issue and may not be. I want a full refund from this place, I will be taking legal action against them with the dental board, this was not ok.

The staff is friendly, approachable and engaging. We didn't have to wait to be seen and we were out quickly. The atmosphere is inviting and very comfortable. It is very different than what I'm used to and I'm grateful. 7/2022 update- legit did a cleaning and had me out in 21 minutes. That's high quality service. 10/22 update- Smile Studio continues to provide the care that I've grown to expect from them. 8/25- Dr. Clark may be my favorite dentist. She is absolutely a treasure. I felt welcomed, valued, seen, and wanted, while wrapped in luxury from the eye mask, heated towels, and massage chair. Dealing with front desk is a breeze and I enjoy getting to hear from Joyce at the front desk - she's very helpful and remembers you every time. Never any issues or surprises with billing. I don't live in the neighborhood anymore but haven't ever considered going anywhere else.
