I hired this company to reglaze my bathtub on September 23, 2026, based largely on the positive…read morereviews I had seen. Unfortunately, my experience was very different.
Immediately after the technician left, the tub appeared acceptable. However, the following day my husband and I discovered a hairline crack and numerous fish-eye "dimples" across the front ledge of the tub. When I brought these issues to the company's attention, I was told that the dimples were merely cosmetic and would lessen and improve over time. I was also told that they would not affect the durability, waterproofing, or normal use of the tub.
I was particularly concerned by that explanation because the defects were present in the newly completed finish. I was even instructed to use a sharp knife to scrape at what I was told might be a hair rather than a crack, with the assurance that doing so would not affect the durability of the finish.
After researching the issue, I learned that fish-eye defects can occur when contaminants, moisture, oils, or other substances interfere with the coating process. Regardless of the cause, these defects were clearly visible in the finished work and were not the quality I expected from a professional reglazing job.
There was also considerable back-and-forth before the company agreed to send someone back to address the problems. It was only after I mentioned that I might have to pursue the matter in small claims court that they agreed to revisit the tub.
On October 6, 2026, the technician, Gega, returned. After approximately 15 minutes of work, he sanded and polished the front ledge. The result was that the gloss layer was removed, leaving the ledge dull and rough/porous. In my view, the attempted repair left the tub in worse condition than before. Gega refused to do anything further and left. When I asked whether a new top coat would be applied, I was told no.
Shortly afterward, I spoke with the owner, Oleksandr, to express my concerns about the result. I specifically explained that the gloss had been removed and that the ledge was now dull and rough. I was told that the gloss would eventually fade anyway, perhaps in a year or two. I explained that this did not address the problem and that I believed the ledge should have been properly refinished. I was then told that the company's budget did not allow them to reglaze the top ledge.
That response was extremely disappointing. A customer should not be responsible for the company's internal budget considerations when addressing defective or unsatisfactory work.
I originally chose this company because of the good reviews. In hindsight, I wish I had paid closer attention to the negative reviews as well. My experience has been that everything may be fine if the job goes perfectly, but when problems arise, getting them addressed can be a very different experience.
I am sharing my experience so that prospective customers can make an informed decision. I paid for a professionally completed reglazing job and expected the finished product to be free of obvious defects and any subsequent repair to restore--not worsen--the condition of the tub.
