I let it go at the time, hoping it was an isolated issue of poor internal communication. I recently returned for a routine oil change, being I had previously purchased a 3 year maintenance plan. Within days my vehicle developed new issues that made it unsafe to drive. Despite receiving a "green check" on my vehicle's condition, I was later given verbal repair recommendations (not related to the current issue)only after I reached out to the Service Manager about current conditions. no written documentation was provided. Which I know to be a standard practice. At this point, I'm left questioning the level of service I received and whether it was influenced by the age of my vehicle, where it was purchased, or potential bias based on race. I expected professionalism, transparency, and communication, but unfortunately that was not my experience.

He was very friendly, easy to talk to, and most importantly he was not pushing us to buy the truck!! After going to many other dealerships and dealing with pushy sales people I was very appreciative he didn't try to push me to buy the truck or try to upsell me to something I couldn't afford. They completed my road trip package oil change and even applied a military discount, which I truly appreciated. I didn't wait at the dealership, and about three hours later I received a call letting me know my vehicle was ready. Customer service was pleasant, efficient, and stress-free, which is exactly what you hope for when you're mid-road trip. After the sale was finalized, the vehicle was damaged while still in the dealership's possession during their cleaning/prep process. The damage was not minor--there were deep gouges, scraping, and a puncture in the bumper. We documented everything with time-stamped photos. Instead of taking responsibility, repairing the damage properly, or offering any form of compensation for the diminished value, the dealership refused to work with us and pushed to completely unwind the deal. We drove over an hour and a half for this purchase, only to have the vehicle damaged after signing and then be told our only option was to return it. This experience raised serious concerns about how issues are handled after a sale is completed. If something goes wrong, do not expect accountability. Make sure you thoroughly inspect your vehicle--even after paperwork is signed--and document everything before leaving the lot.

I found Bulldog Kia fit the bill with my first interaction with Matt, the Parts Manager. Matt is incredibly personable and engaging to the point he may be Bulldog's best salesperson. Beau in service was helpful and answered my all my questions prior to me even ordering the hitch from Matt. Once the tow hitch came in (and much faster than I expected) Christina called to schedule the install appointment. I arrived at my scheduled day and time and was quickly checked in and within a couple of hours, my Telluride had its hitch professional installed at a fair price. As I was waiting around, I had one gentleman ask me if I needed assistance because I was lurking in the check-in area watching the work on my hitch, I said no and we struck up a conversation only to find out it was James Hammond one of the owners working and interacting with customers. Having a local engaged owner who interacts with customers is impressive in this day and age so I applaud this owner and the entire Bulldog team in Athens. Now, my only thought is how do I turn back time so I could have purchased the Telluride from them in the first place? Instead, they charged her $600, including an astonishing $450 in labor for spark plugs on a 2013 Kia with only 85,000 miles. Folks, that's a 30-60 minute job you can do at home! She bought and serviced her vehicle with them for years, and this is how they treated her the moment she walked in alone. What should have been a simple visit turned into a $780 bill for an oil change and spark plugs, neither of which she needed. They should have turned her around and told her to come back in six months. This kind of behavior toward an elderly, loyal customer is deeply concerning and feels predatory. Please be cautious before agreeing to any service here. Get everything in writing and double‑check the pricing.

I had it diagnosed and the report said it was the solenoid was bad. Nissan Athens said they don't trouble shoot. So they ordered a new transmission. We drove back to SC. Returned 1 week later, paid $7200! July 2nd, 2025. It's now July 10th, 2025, the transmission is bad! ​ That's a substantial sum of money and trust for the car to break down 8 days later. It's pretty common for dealerships to sell cars with bad tires but it's highly unusual for them not to budge at all on a simple set of new tires to go with your new car. I took the car to discount tire right after and the tires were cooked 3/32 all the way around. I hope I have to never do business with them again but I got the car I wanted so it wasn't all bad. I can confidently say that they care nothing about the customer experience over there and will hassle you about any little detail you bring up, gaslight you, and straight up lie to get the sale!
