Great website interface with a ton of glasses variety: https://glasses-ltd.com/collections/all

We were visiting Chicago from Milwaukee and needed a quick fix on my glasses. We found Glasses Limited (their 900 N Michigan location) through their WONDERFUL web site. We were treated very warmly by their wonderful manager and staff. Top quality products for sure, and real expertise from the staff. Check out their fabulous web site! read more

This is and outstanding eye glass store. Great selection of eye wear. Tal and his team are extremely knowledgeable. Had an issue with my new glasses as it turned out it was the prescription I gave them. They retested my eyes with their in house person and now my glasses are perfect. Thank you. In addition to this they have an outstanding website that is easy to use and a great resource for making your eye wear decision. read more

The service at Glasses, ltd was awesome! I brought in my favorite pair of Persol's that I thought were bent beyond repair and they were fixed at no charge. Staff was super nice! read more

I walked in randomly just to look around and was SO impressed by the Store Manager, Tal. He is so knowledgable about eyewear and made me feel like I've been working with him for years. Their selection of glasses are so trendy and also classic. They also match Costco prices for contacts! So impressed by their customer service and attention to detail! read more

The website www.glasses-ltd.com is the best website to buy glasses I ever seen. The picture quality is amazing, and I couldn't believe for a pair of 400 dollar Tom Fords that they have on their site, they have a 4 month interest free payment plan called shop pay! They are amazing. read more

This place has the best frames. You pay for it, but they are hip, smooth, and always at the forefront of style. I was a long-time customer of the glasses ltd. on Oak; with my recent medical setback there's no way I can get into that store anymore (several difficult steps down, then up to get in) . Add to that the associate that used to help me moved on to another company and I decided to try the 900 N. Michigan branch, which I can wheelchair into easily. That was a good call! One of the awesome newer associates, Jeff, has recently moved from the Oak street store to this one full-time; his eye is solid and helped me well to quickly find the few frames that were most ideal for my face. I purchased a new pair of Mykita frames and lenses for a mere $750 or so (*gasp* - thank goodness they are actually a gift), and couldn't be more pleased with them, as ever. So what's the downside? There are two major ones. The first, as I mentioned, is that they are very, very pricey - you're paying full-fare for the hottest, most stylish frames. The second is that they've all but lost their optometrist; he's only there half of every Saturday, at a time I can't get there. So fundamentally this has become a frames and lenses store, because the OD is all but unavailable. So, if you want the latest and coolest in frames (regular and sunglasses), and can afford crazy boutique pricing, then this is your place. It's worth going to browse just to have fun, regardless. (For instance, the manager showed me the brand new TAG Heuer luxury frame line - finished in choices of materials like carbon fiber, alligator skin, and snakeskin, the frames alone are $1500 - how crazy is that?) glasses ltd. The high-end frames store. Try it, if you have the means. read more

Heading to an outdoor event this summer and my nose piece fell off my new Madewell sunglasses. Popped in here and they sweetly fixed them in ten minutes at NO CHARGE. Even better... the staff were AWESOME. When you swing by, check out their new DITA line. Most amazing shades I've seen in a long time and wear like a glove. Obsessed. read more

I damaged a pair of sunglasses by sitting on them: bent the frame and snapped the underwire holding the frame in place. I didm think they could be repaired, but I called Glasses, Ltd and they asked me to bring them in. I popped into the store with sunglasses, they had me leave them and a few hours later I got a call saying "your glasses are fixed, stop by any time to pick them up". When i got there, they were indeed fixed!! And at no charge! I was so impressed by this level of customer service, especially when I didn't purchase these particular pair of sunglasses from them. Great experience, excellent service.. definitely A+ in my book. read more

On a trip to Chicago I lost the temple piece to a pair of custom glasses I purchases in Massachusetts. It was Saturday and the conference began later that day. Dal Landau was working at the store that morning and, despite the fact that I wasn't his customer, did everything in his power to find a suitable replacement. After scouring his inventory, he came up with an item which, while not a perfect match, would fit and hold me over. He then refused to take anything for his trouble! This over-the-top care for a total stranger makes me think this would be my go-to optical store if I lived in the Windy City! I hope those of you reading this post will give glasses ltd a try - I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

Glasses, ltd - Glasses repair in a pinch - thanks Glasses Ltd! - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This review is for: Glasses, "Ltd." --O--O-- I loved my black T. Ford Nakita's SO MUCH, that I sat on them in a dressing room. Can you say, "DUMB-DUMB"? Well, you don't have to, 'cause I said it. Fast forward, months later, Cee T. finally set out to see if the place of purchase (Bloomies) could send my 'Kita's out for repair or ? Eventhough I had since purchased the light tortoise 'Kita's......I missed wearing my black 'Kita's, which kept my eyes more concealed, enabling me to not have to make direst eye contact w/certain phony folk I care not to, HMPH. The Bloomie's Sales Associate (at the sunglasses counter) referred me to Glasses, LTD to seek repair of the bent arms of my sunglasses; did I mention that the arms got bent 'cause I sat on 'em? Oh yeah, DUMB-DUMB did. HOT DIGGITY DAMN, the Glasses, LTD Sales Associate --reSHAPed-- my black 'Kita's in less than 10 minutes at NO CHARGE-two of my favorite words, when coupled, that is! :) read more

What can I say? Tal's a knowledgeable, friendly guy. My Warby glasses weren't fitting the best and I needed some support for the nose. I didn't have time to send them out for 2 weeks to get metal pads soldered on so he helped me adjust the arms and gave me some silcone pads to put on. All gratis! He also talked to me about lenses and why I might benefit from aspherical lenses instead of standard high index. Anyway, I agree with all the other great reviews. Check them out. read more

The service is great, they're great opticians and have very trendy options. That said, I bought a pair of Mykita frames and lenses with the idea that they would be durable. The lenses have chipped and the frame has now broken. It's been a while, but I've never had glasses break this quickly. I wear them all the time and I depend on them; I know that these are a trendy option, but don't believe the hype on the durability. They do look great! I just wanted them to last longer. After this comment the store manager contacted me! They are replacing my frames and giving me 50% off new lenses. This company takes customer service seriously and they stand behind their products. read more

Best eye exam ever! Highly recommend Steven Lee O.D. for getting prescription. Regarding frame selection, excellent all the way. You get what you pay for so be prepared to spend. My opinion on the value of excellent lenses is that it's one of the first reviews we get when first meeting people. I also secured contact lenses and again, the value, cost and first rate fitting and comfort is well worth it. Mack read more

I had been dreading picking out a new pair of frames--too many choices, should I take someone with me? etc.... I went to Glasses, Ltd., the one in the big 900 building. A man named Tal helped me. He asked me to pick out a couple of frames that appealed to me and show him my prescription. Then he went right to the frames he thought I would like. This man really knows his merchandise. I tried on five frames. I ended up reallyt liking the pair that he predicted would look the best. It was so easy and pleasant! (He also said that he can get contact lenses cheaper than anywhere online, so I may try getting my contacts from there, too.) Customer service at this place is remarkable! read more

Tal at Glasses, ltd fixed my Gucci sunglasses. They're such a good company that the Gucci store on Michigan Avenue refers its customers to them for any adjustments/ repairs that might be needed on their glasses; that's how I heard about them. An incredible selection of beautiful frames, and maybe the best customer service of any store I've ever been to in my life. Talk about putting the customer first - Tal and Melissa go above and beyond to make customers happy. Nothing but positive things to say about this place. read more

I am very happy with my new glasses. Melissa explained why for years I was unable to find glasses that did not dig into the side of my nose. (All that wasted money.) She explained the style I I needed, and found me the perfect pair. I no longer have a red, circular 1/4" depression on the upper left side of my nose. And it has only been a few days. read more

Went here to get arms replaced on a pair of sun glasses. He replaced them with new arms for free and under an hour. Really appreciate it!!!

I was in town visiting my corporate office in the John Hancock center from Fort Worth, TX. On the way here my glasses nose piece broke off my Oakley sunglasses. Tal was extremely helpful and took great care of me. I have been telling everyone I know in Chicago to go see Tal at Glasses LTD in the Watertower Place on the 5th floor. If I ever have another issue with my glasses when I am in Chicago I will definitely go here. thanks Tal read more

My experience today was more than what I expected. I stopped in to get a pair of Gucci glasses repaired and I met the most kind person I have met in a while. Tal Landau and what he didn't know is that I really was down today. My mother passed away and The funeral is this Friday. I sat on my sunglasses that I planned on wearing Friday to hide my tears and the lens popped out. Well he knew right away they had been sat on and made me smile when he told me. I needed that. He fixed my glasses and we chatted for a while. Just enough for me to take my mind off things and just enjoy a warm conversation. He told me about the history of the business and just how much he genuinely cares for his customers. For me walking in for the first time that's exactly what I received. I will definitely be back and not to mention he had a really nice pair of Chanel sunglasses that has my name written all over them. Nice to meet you Tal. You are a classic gentlemen and I hope our paths cross again in the near future. God bless you and thank you for putting a smile on my face today. read more

Amazing customer service. I bought a pair of Prada sunglasses from a department store a few years ago, and when one of the nose pieces fell off, the department store said they could not fix them. I walked into Glasses Ltd. and Tal fixed them for me. He was incredibly nice, and has a great selection. I will definitely only shop for sunglasses here in the future, as I know I will be well taken care of! read more

The woman that helped me was more than willing to go above and beyond to fix my Ray Bans that I bought years ago. I did not catch her name and the card I was given had Tal's name on it but it definitely wasn't him. It was a mixed bag for me. It started out as a GREAT experience with Tal (I may have gotten his name wrong). He was so accommodating and friendly both over the phone and in person. He gave great insight and advice on frames, and was very helpful in every way. The female eye doctor was also very nice to us. These two people were great to deal with. So why only 2 stars? Well, the second half of my experience was not so great. There were 2 women behind the counter. While they were not outwardly rude and tried to be nice enough, I did feel a discrepancy in the way they treated me versus another customer who came in before me. I don't know if it's because I look young, or if it's because of my ethnicity - but they were not nearly as accommodating to me versus the prior customer. As I was paying withy my credit card, one of the two was just standing around and looking at me, and I did not get the very warm farewell they gave the prior customer. It might not be a big deal to some, but it made me uncomfortable. It's really too bad, since Tal (?) and the eye doctor were fantastic. read more

Purchased a pair of glasses. I was told to receive it in 10 days. But I haven't received it yet in more than half of a month. During the days, not a phone call or email was sent to me to let me know any details. I called them once and was told that I could go there take the glasses on the next day when they call me. But on that day, still nothing happens. I am wondering why would making a pair of glasses takes that long time? I have purchased a pair in Eye Society and I had that glasses in just a week. read more

I don't think I could have asked for a better experience getting my new specs at Glasses Ltd.! I'm an avid contact lens fan, but lately I've been thinking about investing in a very nice pair of glasses to wear at work. I stopped in on a Sunday (late morning) and was accommodated right away by Rhona Kodroff, who took the time out to not only help me select the perfect pair, but also to make sure that I knew exactly how my lenses would wear. I selected tortoise shell Chanel frames, and was able to check out fairly quickly after discussing the lenses in more detail with Rhona. Their selection is quite impressive - everything from Prada to Yves Saint Laurent to Eye-Bobs - and is a great fusion of traditional styles and of-the-moment frames. Impressively, my glasses were ready to be picked up in less than a week! Glasses Ltd. gives a 2 year warranty on lenses, so if there's even a slight scratch, they've promised to repair (or replace) them free of charge. When I stopped by to pick up my new glasses, I was accommodated right away, and was given three bottles of contact lens solution and free lens cleaner for my glasses. The gentleman helping me (my apologies for not recalling his name - I accidentally picked up the wrong business card!) told me to stop in any time I needed more glasses cleaner or contact lens solution, and he'd be happy to give me more bottles gratis. He also mentioned Glasses Ltd.'s competitive contact lens prices, and told me that they would meet or beat any other store's prices - including online retailers. Due to their excellent customer service, I will certainly be ordering my contacts through them from now on. It's truly bespoke eyewear! I visited the 900 N. Michigan location, since it is conveniently close to my gym. However, my father has purchased all of his glasses from Glasses Ltd.'s 50 E. Oak St. location, where he received excellent customer service as well. My mother also recently picked up a spiffy pair of reading glasses there! The bottom line: High-end frames, extremely high-quality and efficient lens preparation, and excellent customer service! Glasses Ltd. has reminded me that it IS possible to receive great service at local businesses here in Chicago! read more

Thanks to yelp, I found this place to fix my sunglasses. It took awhile because the screw wasn't perfect and the pair is a few years old but they were able to put it back together. It was great that it was free too. Great service. read more

Amidst the gorgeous, well-chosen glasses selections at Glasses, Ltd (a store I learned has been open 50yrs) is Jenny, one of the most personable and helpful people I've met. As a visitor from Texas, I was in a real bind when I broke my only pair of glasses, but Jenny came to rescue. Believe the great ratings, it's all true! read more

So my favorite old glasses broke and I was distraught and did not want to pay for a new pair (the frames are old but the lenses had just been replaced a few months ago). So I decided to buy the same frames and just switch out the lenses. But having just moved back to Chicago from NYC, I didn't have a glasses place I could go to. So I called up this store and they told me to come on in. When I came in, they popped my old frames into my new lenses, even though it took quite a bit of stretching manpower to get them to fit (apparently the same style frames aren't always the same size), but in the end, they were in. They didn't even charge me even though I was not a previous customer of theirs. Great service! read more

Great glasses, great service! This is my third pair of glasses from Glasses LTD, 900 North Michigan. The quality always has been outstanding, the service too. Glasses LTD has a fine selection of frames, chosen with good taste. But it is the lenses, the invisible lenses! These are truly amazing. I can see! I can read! Today, Thursday, was a truly remarkable experience. These were my third pair of new glasses In the last ten years. They were due to be picked up on Friday. However, earlier this week, I had called and asked for a Thursday morning delivery. Some sort of communication problem, and on Thursday morning, the glasses were not ready. I was disappointed, but I never could have predicted the response from Glasses LTD. At 1:00 PM the store promised the glasses by the end of day. I said, No problem. Tomorrow is okay. They said, Today. This evening, the technician who actually makes the glasses delivered them to my home. I put them on. He looked, took them back, and made a minor adjustment, and handed them back to me. I am now wearing incredible new glasses, no problem. I would return to Glasses LTD for the quality alone. Each pair, one after the other, has been the best pair I have ever worn. However, it is their service that blows me away. read more
