I haven't had my eyes tested since I was probably 6 years old. So 20 years later and weeks constant headaches had me getting my eyes checked out. I made an appointment online for first thing Saturday morning. The store is located in the fifth floor at 900 Michigan shops. The store is pretty small but offers a great selection and a private experience. The eye exam was was quick and easy. Both the examiner and sales associate were super helpful and patient. After trying on probably 40 pairs of opticals, I found my match. I also received a free pair of ray-bans for spending a certain amount. The sales associate informed me that I would receive my glasses in about a week and a half. A week and a half later I received a call from the associate and picked up my glasses. I bought 2 new pair of very expensive glasses at Rosin in Streeterville but a nose piece broke off of one pair (Gucci) and the other pair needed adjustment to lay straight on my face. Rosin told me to go to the Gucci store on Michigan Ave!! Seriously! And they were not experienced enough to properly adjust the other pair. Glasses LTD fixed both pair on the spot no charge. Outstanding!!! Went to visit after viewing the location and previous reviews on various sites. Needed a pair of Dior sunglasses repaired that had lost a critical screw holding the lense enclosure. After locating an appropriate screw, the owner re-attached the lense enclosure, inserted the glass, cleaned the glasses, and adjusted the fitting. Everything was perfect! Eleven-ish years later, and I'm still coming back. And in a newer location (same floor but across the way), at least new to me. I was on my way to pick up dinner near by when I remembered I needed to get the nose piece and one of the "arms" on my glasses tightened up. Thankfully there wasn't much of a wait time and the guy (forgot his name?!) was able to fix them just like that (insert snapping fingers sound) and even cleaned off any finger prints on the glasses themselves. He even asked me to put them on to make sure they fit okay. One last nugget - they do offer two options of hard cover cases if you're on the hunt for a new one. One is bulkier ($20) but not bad looking than the other slimmer kind ($10). Honestly they're both decent and would hold up - just a personal/price preference. read more

Tina Rubio resurrected a pair of Porsche Design sunglasses that were 30 years old. She cleaned and adjusted the nose pads, adjusted the metal so that the lenses locked in tight and aligned the ear pieces so the glasses fit snug on my face. She had to try about 20 different screws to find one that worked as one of the screws had lost its threading. A friend had given me the glasses and they looked their age. Now, they look brand new. Brought Groupon to check this place out. Never heard of it before and won't ever return. Made appointments for my 9 year old daughter & wife for eye exams & possible glasses. Doctor did fine, but the manager (Tal) was very unprofessional & rude. My 9 year old daughter says he acted like a child and was huffing and puffing after we decided not to purchase a $500+ pair of glasses for my daughter after the Groupon discount. A $500+ pair of glasses that my daughter would lose or break after three months. He claims that "their glasses are much better than any other places and could see all the way to Florida with it". He says he won't accept the Groupon without the purchase of glasses. NO WHERE ON THE GROUPON DID IT SAY YOU CAN'T USE IT FOR JUST THE EYE EXAM. He says the eye exam will be $125 each. We refused and explain to him that the Groupon includes the eye exam. We wasted our time on a Saturday that we could have spent as a family, and money on the Groupon as he wouldn't give us the prescriptions. As a business owner myself, I could tell you that's a terrible way to do business and to treat your new customers. read more

Throughout the life of your glasses, you can come in for tightening of screws or otherwise small refits.
