What a pleasure and great surprise to have a business respond as one would expect!!!! It's no wonder Kareem has nothing but 5 Star reviews out there. I contacted Glass Work/Kareem via Yelp and he responded very quickly. I choose to contact him after not hearing from (2) other glass vendors. One of the vendors had addressed my emergency situation, but never followed up with a quote for glass replacement. The OTHER vendor, while friendly and receptive on the phone, never followed up with a quote or my follow up emails. I described my situation to Kareem, emailed him photos of the windows I needed replaced and he followed up that evening with a quote!!! I'd been waiting days to weeks for the other vendors and Kareem was back to me in a few hours. We kept in touch via email and text to schedule the installation and Kareem was always very responsive. He even responded on a Sunday evening!!!! The day of the repair, Kareem texted as we approached the appointment time and he started working upon his arrival. He was open to questions and provided very informative and educational answers on his glass work. Glass Work/Kareem is my number #1 choice for any glass repairs in the future. I will contact him for a few other projects I'm considering. It's a shame for older, well established glass vendors in the Oakland/Bay Area they cannot live up to the response and quality of service that Kareem provides. read more

I was doing spring cleaning and found that there was a small crack in one of my home office windows that was a lot larger than I'd first thought. I put a request for an estimate in to Karim at Glass Work and he answered less than twenty minutes later. Three hours later, he was at my house fixing the window. While he was doing that, he noticed a small crack in another one of my windows, and he fixed that window as part of a very reasonable package deal. All through the process, from request to estimate, Karim was very communicative and let me know what was going on. The old glass in the window was 1/16" thick, and Karim replaced it with 1/8" thick glass. At the end, I had two much better looking windows and I was very happy with the work done. I believe that if I see any more problems with my windows, my first call will be to Karim at Glass Work. read more

Was looking for new safety glass for my boat. Built in 1984, there wasn't any obvious match. Went to other glass specialists and got the "it will be two weeks until we can get a sample" runaround. But at GlassWork, Benjamin was able to find the right glass and order it in a day. Price was really reasonable too. Strong 5 stars for these guys. read more

"Fast, cheap, good: pick two" is the saying but on rare occasions you get all three. Karim was the fastest to respond, offered a great price and did beautiful work. It's practically always an emergency when a window is broken. I needed a window glass panel replaced quickly and Karim responded at a late hour, on a Sunday in fact! I was taken aback by how immediate his communication was. Seriously like a breath of fresh air. Communication and workmanship go hand-in-hand when it comes to emergency repairs. Karim excelled with both communication and the work based on my first experience. He came forward with how quickly he would be able to take care of it and the quoted price was very reasonable. I woke up to a loud crash at 6am today to discover that a strong wind had blown a large window and most of the window frame to the ground. This is a house built in 1916 and I thought we were facing a long, expensive repair. I found Glass Work on line, read the Yelp reviews and called them. Hakim was at my home in 2 hours, took the window and frame to his shop and returned that afternoon (Saturday!) with a perfectly repaired window. They also cleaned up all the glass that had broken when the window fell. They are highly professional, competent and kind. I am grateful. read more

Couldn't be happier with the service Karim provided. We had him install a piece of glass on top of a pony wall in our newly remodeled bathroom. He was very fast in providing a quote and his pricing was very competitive. After giving us a quote over yelp, he came by (also very prompt) to take exact measurements and discuss specifics (very helpful, since we hadn't entirely considered some of the details: hardware, exact placement, height etc). The final result looks amazing; better than I imagined. We just finished remodeling our house and had to deal with so many different contractors, and so I feel confident saying that Karim really stands out and sets the bar very high in terms of professionalism and craftsmanship. On top of that, he is just very friendly and his communication is on point. I will definitely reach out to Glass Work for any future needs! read more

Karim responded the same day to measure my sliding doors and windows. They were delivered and installed promptly and the price was right.

I screened 5 companies total before deciding to go with Karim. What stood out was his patience and willingness to explain everything to me (I have zero knowledge in glass or windows, so it really helped), whereas other contractors just came in and took measurement with no explanations. His communication is prompt and clear, his craftsmanship is good, and the price is very fair and reasonable. Highly recommended! read more
