BMW windshield was repaired by them under insurance. They were pretty great about it. Got the car fixed it and brought it back. 5 stars. Came to Los Gatos to get the car and drop it back. Then it rained and it leaked. No problem they came back and fixed it. It rained again but a tiny leak again and they came back and fixed it. Pretty ok experience. Glass looks great and Jimmy who installed it was very professional. I knocked off a couple stars mainly due to the labor cost. They quoted 2 hours at 160/hr but the installation only took 25 minutes. $320 for 25 mins of labor is a bit excessive. i was told it's a min 2 hour labor no matter how long it takes. I am extremely impressed with this company! The day I called in to submit a claim, the same day they reached out to us to get things rolling! They clearly explained the payment process, and when the glass came in they were able to fit me for an appointment the following day! The tech came out to our home on time, but unfortunately, the glass they received from Honda had a flaw in it. Wow it was great to see Jimmy swap the old windshield for new in about an hour. He was meticulous and focused but still answered along the way. My Tesla Model 3, rear glass, suffered a golf ball crash at Santa Teresa golf course. The first company that State Farm offered indicated an 8 week wait for parts, the second just refused to deal with a Tesla! My agent suggested Glass West. And they were great. Tim called me back immediately, arranged to pick up the glass from Tesla on the Christmas eve, and deliver it via the mobile installer on Friday, 12/17. I am honestly so, so thankful I reached out to Glass West to get my front windshield repaired. I went to Tahoe last week and the ice on my windshield wipers must've cracked my window as I was wiping them. The snow was horrible. and I was really sad that my windshield cracked from the driver's side all the way to the passenger's side of my Toyota 4runner. I called my insurance company and they told me to contact Glass West. The reviews looked good enough so I called them and was able to make an appointment really quickly. The day of, I had called Ernan to let him know of a change in address for the servicing. Since I wasn't there, but my mom was, I was kind of worried. My mom had left the car unlocked, knowing that the technician would come. When she told me that nobody had come for over an hour, I called Ernan, expecting myself to question his whereabouts and possibly get mad. But then Ernan told me that the job was done. HUH!!!!!!!!! Okay so my first thought was, "What if he got the wrong car?" "Maybe there was a different 4runner?" "Omg did I just pay for someone else's windshield to be replaced??!!" The last thing I want to see when I return to my car after a long day at work is a several-foot long crack snaking across my front windshield and splitting off into a fork in the middle of my line of vision. It definitely wasn't there that morning when I left my car! Anyways, my insurance agent gave me a short list of auto glass places and while she recommended Safelite, I wanted to use a local/independently owned business if possible. I called Glass West and initially they told me they were booked until Monday but I really wanted to get my windshield replaced sooner rather than later because the crack was huge and growing. I made an appointment with Safelite but Glass West was able to squeeze me in for a next-day appointment and swapping them in through my insurance was easy-peasy. The technician came at the top of the appointment window and was done within the estimated time (45 minutes). The new windshield was not the same brand as my original which was a bit of a bummer (my friends who used Safelite were able to get the same brand), but most windshields are made in China anyways so maybe this isn't a big deal. Overall, excellent customer service! Everyone I worked with was professional and efficient. I'm hoping my windshield is as durable as my old one but if not, Glass West stands by their work as long as you own the car. Thanks Glass West! read more
