As a paying member, I expect a standard of decency and a family-friendly environment, but my recent visit was entirely inappropriate. A male customer was walking through the store wearing nothing but a t-shirt and what appeared to be an adult diaper, man panties which left him completely exposed in both the front and the back. It was an incredibly indecent display that forced parents to cover their children's eyes while other customers were openly filming and laughing at the situation. Despite bringing this immediately to the attention of multiple employees and expressing that this was completely inappropriate for a store filled with young children, absolutely nothing was done. Management completely failed to address the issue or enforce any basic dress code or decency standards. I expect much better oversight for a store that requires a paid membership.

The prices on those items were steep. Most of the larger household items like furniture or home maintenance essentials were visibly damaged. Lots of "ding and scratch" products. I wasn't very impressed with the prices, there were some bargains, yes. But plenty of the products were above the price point of other off price stores in the area. I also found a couple of health and beauty products that were labeled "not for sale in the USA" (see pictures) do with that what you may, but I was hesitant due to the uncertainty of the ingredients. Overall, if you're looking for an off-price store for various products, this would probably fit the bill. Is it the best? No. It's alright. It may be worth a look, but I'd recommend managing your expectations.

They also have a lot of product for walls, where the boxes labeling that shows its for walls is sliced off, presumably so they can more readily sell it as flooring. Too Hot Inside, Smoking Issues Outside This Roses location…read morehas some significant problems. The store is always uncomfortably hot, whether it's winter or summer. They need to adjust the temperature control--turn down the heat or turn up the air conditioning to make shopping more comfortable. The smoking situation outside the store is also concerning. There are consistently employees smoking near the entrance, which means customers have to walk through cigarette smoke to enter. There's a can full of cigarette butts right by the building, and discarded cigarettes litter the ground around the property. It creates an unwelcoming first impression. I've even seen pregnant employees smoking outside in the past, which was particularly disturbing to witness. For a store that promotes Christian values, it would be more consistent to either ban smoking on the property or designate a smoking area away from the entrance where customers don't have to encounter it. The current setup feels unprofessional. I occasionally shop here for cleaning supplies and household items because it's convenient, but the excessive heat inside and the smoking situation outside make it an unpleasant experience. Simple improvements to these issues would make a big difference for customers.

I love the awesome finds I purchase here at Roses. I give them an over all rating of a 4. although I come to Piqua to shop here twice a year it is still one of my favorite stores. The staff is always friendly & very helpful. I have never had anything go wrong with anything I have purchased. I love the Christian shirts, the pictures & wall hangings, the kitchen appliances, lawn & garden decor & tools, etc. i always save $$ when I shop here.
