It was one of those really nice Friday afternoons when suddenly a semi in front of me kicked up a rock and made this tiny tiny hole....no big deal right? Well it grew into a 16 inch crack within 24 hours. I opened a claim with my insurance assuming I had no deductible glass coverage. Apparently I don't. My deductible was higher than the cost of glass....so off I went to start shopping. I was able to get 1 online quote from another company that seemed pretty reasonable based on what the insurance company told me. Then I decided I could find out more shopping on Yelp. I work evenings and nights so I was very grateful to be able to work with a customer service rep over email. Mary was always very responsive to my questions and scheduling an appointment. She gave me a quote that was nearly $100 less than all the other quotes and they would be able to come to me for service. The technician assigned to me was John. He is a customer service dream! Kind, genuine and communicated all the information in a very easily understandable fashion. My garage has a low clearance and he took extra care to make sure that his vehicle would not cause any damage. It seems like an obvious thing, however, there are some really heavy damage on our garage doors because people don't take the extra time to see if they really fit. The whole thing from the time he called to tell me he was on the way to the end was 45 minutes. The glass is great (actually shows now how dirty the rest of my car is...). I had all the "dos and don'ts" post installation. They took my credit card and was processed at the beginning of the job. I would gladly and highly recommend Glass Today. Ignore the 1-star guy. Mary follow up after the job was complete to make sure my experience was good. All-in-all, it's just how customer service should be!! read more

I had already checked several other places to have the windshield on my Volvo XC70 repaired or replaced. (Once upon a time I was a mechanic, so I can be pretty demanding as a customer.) Either the BBB ratings or the confusion about calibration (= $$$) signaled me to keep looking. Mary at Auto Glass Today was very helpful and researched exactly which glass I needed and whether I not I needed calibration. (I didn't.) The windshield was replaced within the time promised and, as it turned out, they found another supplier for same mfr. for less money and passed along savings to me. So I'm very pleased with the company. read more

I went to Glass Today to repair a rock chip in my windshield after finding out about Rock Chip Wednesdays - they'll repair one rock chip free of charge on the first Wednesday of each month with the donation of a food shelf item. All the employees were very friendly and courteous, and after the repair was complete, the technician came and explained to me what they did and how their process works. In addition, he said that he found another tiny chip when he was repairing the chip I went in for, and he fixed that one, too! I didn't even need a repair - but will go back! After I noticed a small rock chip on my new car's windshield- my insurance company directed me here. Low and behold it was "Rock Chip Wednesday" (what?!) get a free rock chip repair the first wednesday of the month with a donation of a nonperishable food. Bopped in to find out the rock chip had already been repaired priori to purchasing my car! Oops... sorry for missing an hour of work :-( But... if i do in fact have a REAL problem... glass today all the way! read more

That tiny miniscule knick in my windshield turned into a mega-crack on the first frost of fall. Bummer! My insurance company referred me to Auto Glass Today to replace the windshield. The appointment set up was easy, albeit a bit confusing. I had them come out to a parking ramp downtown where I parked. All I had to do was leave the vehicle unlocked! The appointment time was for a 4-hour window. They did a great job, the new glass looks so shiny and clear. My one complaint is that they didn't make it in the alloted window. It was all good- I was working anyways. But if you really, truly, only have a 4-hour window in which for them to come, you may want to look elsewhere or be adamant that they will come during that time. read more

We were told by several glass repair companies that they couldn't repair our sunroof because the manufacturer no longer made our sunroof glass as car was so old. However, Edward at glass today quickly responded to our repair request. He found replacement glass for us. He Quickly got us in to repair it and Worked with our insurance company. 6 years ago glasstoday replaced my car Windshield & they did a very lousy job. They cut corners ( used Urethane instead of the clips they broke, they didn't use primer to prevent rust.....) and 2 weeks ago it cost me an extra $600 of body shop work to remove the rust from the windshield pinchweld. If you do choose to use those guys or any other company, make sure they prep the pinchweld correctly before installing the windshield & do your homework or it will cost you later on read more

This place is terrible. They replaced my window with a 2 tone tinted window instead of black. They didn't wash the window after install. Greasy prints all over it. They took the head rests out of the seats but never replaced them. They ruined my headliner and then tell me too bad. These people know nothing about customer service. They simply do shabby work to say the least. Avoid this place at all costs. They did $1600.00 worth of damage to my truck and didn't give a damn about it. Pathetic is what this place is. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE! THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL NOR DO THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. read more

I would've rated them higher but the communication wasn't the greatest. Early afternoon on New Year's Eve, I go out to my street parked car to find my rear windshield smashed in. I call around to several places to try to find someone to do it same day. It's a holiday so no luck but Glass Today offers to do it at my house Jan 2 "between 9 & 1". This appeals to me because then I can work from home so there's no lost time for me. She does warn me that if there's bad weather Plan B is to bring it in to their shop or a shop in my neighborhood. So that morning I wake up at 7am and it's 10°F out with slight flurries. Concerned, I call them the minute they open and ask if we have to go with plan B. She assures me rather emphatically that we're still on and the technicians are on their way out- I'm their second stop. So I settle into my office at home to wait for them. Fast forward to 1030 am, weather is unchanged (actually the temp has gone up a few degrees) and I get another call. He tells me change of plans, now I have to bring it in to their shop in Roseville. This just irks me because it feels like them going back on their word. Plus it's too late to make arrangements with a local shop to use their facilities so I have to drive 30 minutes to Glass Today's shop. Had I known right away that morning that this was the case I could have made arrangements with a shop closer to me. But having waited half the morning for them and made meetings that afternoon, I'm kind of stuck and have to drive my car in with glass flying all over the place. They did quote me the lowest price but only by a few bucks compared to the shop 6 blocks from me and honestly, I'd pay more for better service/convenience. Actual service/facilities: They have a reception desk but nobody sat there the entire time I was inside waiting. So when you walk in you're standing there like an idiot for a few minutes until somebody notices you. And nobody is too eager to notice you. Lobby is functional and doubles as a showroom for their home window business. Spartan and smells faintly of PVC and windex. Understandable though. They did a good job with my car but this seems like a standard service so I can't celebrate too hard. They originally told me "less than an hour"- it was exactly an hour so meh. They did vacuum up most of the glass but I can still hear some of it rolling around on the back dash. Also, although it was nice of them to do this, they didn't make any attempt to reposition the car seats and seat cover. Overall: A-Ok service. I would use them again but only if I lived closer or if it was summer. Could've been 4 stars if it wasn't for the run around. A better reception and more prompt service would've been 5 stars. We had custom shower glass installed. The installers did a fantastic job. The reason for only 2 stars is the poor communication and customer service from the main office. I had to email Barb several times and experienced a lack of response, the need to request paperwork several times after she promised to send it, and she made a mistake with our order that caused a delay in our project, and resulted in me having to take vacation days off from work for two different attempts at installation. read more

I recently used this service but turned out to be a very disappointed experience. I have a 2000 Acura RL. After they replaced the windshield, it leaked and the floor on the passenger side and the back seat floor were soaking wet. When I called them and complained on Monday, they promised to dry the floor for me. My boyfriend took my car there and they fixed the leaking but telling my boyfriend that it was not their responsibility for the leak because the car was too old. All I know is that my car was dry and had no leak until they put the windshield on. If they are not responsible for the poor job they did, that means you cannot use their service unless your car is new. Last year I contacted Advantage Auto Glass to replace the windshield of my other car, which is 2001 Nissan. They did a wonderful job and there has no leak. I regret that I did not contact Advantage Auto Glass this time. It's my mistake. The two cars are just one year apart. One has leak and the other does not. I'll let you be the judge of this case. read more
