Short, but not so sweet experience. I picked up my sister so she could drop off her car to get detailed. She told me she walked in and the guy kind of gave her a bit of tude, she brushed it off since she has worked in customer service before and he was probably having a bad day. Immediately after we left, he called her and said "it looks like a family of scarecrows exploded in your car." In working in customer service myself, you don't make comments like that towards customers as it can put them off and make them feel ashamed and embarrassed. We all let our cars get bad sometimes, we KNOW, we're already embarrassed, you don't have to make it worse. She called him out on it and he told her to come pick up the car. So we walked in to try to have a chat with his manager on some professionalism, turns out, he's the owner, Kyle. Instead of trying to discuss anything, he just ran to the back after being called out for his unprofessionalism. Usually, I'm not the type to write reviews or even call out a crappy customer service experience, but his attitude and disrespect was just unreal. As I was considering also getting my two cars detailed here, I no longer will be. read more

I was expecting better because of the reviews and was disappointed in the end results. First off I have a dark car so it is very easy to see dirt, grime and any excess wax. Outside: The car looked nice from a far, but as you got close you could still see brake dust on the wheels of the car. Then as I did a further walk around I noticed that there was excess wax all over the vehicle along areas that should have been noticed. Inside: You can tell they vacuumed, but looks like they just wiped the interior with a dry towel vs a wet one that can pick up the dust. Cup holders were not cleaned out and the car did not smell any different (like it would if spray was used to clean it). I will disclose I had the "Complete Detail" and not the "Presidential" and also that I had a gift certificate for them. Hoping that because I did not "pay" for it would effect the quality of work. read more

I never leave reviews. EVER. I have the upmost respect for people who work in customer service, but man I haven't been disrespected by someone like this before. HONESTLY, save your money. I just came and dropped off my car to get it detailed. I walked in, and he immediately had an attitude toward me. I chocked it up to maybe a bad day so I didn't say anything. Giving me side glares, being short with me. Granted I HAD NEVER HAD AN INTERACTION WITH HIM BEFORE AND IM ALWAYS FRIENDLY WHEN talking to anybody I first meet. I cleared out my entire car except for the backseat. I work on a farm so had some hay in the back. The *lovely* owner calls me up and leaves a nice voicemail stating (it looks like I murdered a family of scarecrows) in my car and that he want to add an additional $130 dollars onto the fee. Which is fine but it wasn't the cost that upset me it was his attitude. I know my cars dirty, that's why I'm bringing it in. I call him back and tell him that what he said was very unprofessional and he could have handled that a lot better. He said well we're not gonna do your car so come and get it. Thinking no way is he the owner with an attitude like that I ask to speak to the manager. Turns out he is the owner of the place. He told me to do it myself if it's such an issue. Classy. Go somewhere else if you want to be treated kindly. read more

I took my car in for 3 stage exterior detail. My car is black and had light swirl marks. They did a excellent job removing all the swirl marks and my car now looks better than new. Very impressed with the level of expertise and customer service. They returned my call timely, very fair priced. I dropped my vehicle off at there facility and they provided a shuttle back to my home and pick-up. Excellent work! read more

Quality work, done quick in the estimated time for a fair price. I had dents popped out of a black car and it looks awesome now. There were a few small dents that they were unable to get out but the big ones came out with no problems. I would definitely return again. read more

Did research on auto detailing, and was very happy with the work preformed. I understand that the vehicle is 10 years old, so I know there were limitations on what to expect realistically. I stopped in at Maplewood Auto Salon at about 11 AM to see about getting paint protection film applied on my new car. Mike assisted me; he was super friendly and helpful, answering all my questions and looking over my vehicle with me. They didn't have any installers available to start the same day, but Mike called around and made it happen for me. The paint protection film looks great! And the professionalism of the work was obvious as soon as I saw the finished work. Mike reviewed the work with me and was even able to make a recommendation for another car service his shops doesn't provide. He also gave me a nice discount! From stopping in at 11 am to getting my car back and finished by 3, I was amazed at the whole process. They even gave me a ride to my house after I dropped off my car for the work. I highly recommend Mike and the team at Maplewood Auto Salon and will definitely be using their services in the future. read more

I lost $5,800 in a month, and was treated like an asshole. Buyer beware, this business has no…read moreintegrity. I bought a used car last month. They assured me they do thorough inspections and would never sell a car with issues. I was also told repeatedly the car had no issues. I was shown the CarFax. Considering it was a luxury car dealership, I felt comfortable buying the car as is. A month later (after only being driven for about 12 days and a little over a 1,000), the check engine light came on and I learned it needed a new catalytic converter and had several leaks that needed repair. I brought the $8,600 estimate in to show the salesman. I only expected them to say, "wow, that's terrible. Let's see if there is anything we can do," or "let us take a look at it and see if we can repair it for cheaper," or "that's too bad, but that sometimes happens with new cars. How about a trade-in?" Instead, the salesperson immediately scurried away to get his 20-year-old manger, who shrugged and said, "how is that our problem?" Eventually, the GM, Jeremy Mertes came out, and said, "it's a used car, what would you expect if you bought this on Craigslist?" I looked around and had to remind him we were in a luxury car dealership. The GM said there was no way for them to know about the bad catalytic converter. I asked them if they scan their incoming cars. He said they scan all of the cars that come into their dealership and the ones that don't meet their standards go to auction and the good ones they sell. He said their records showed no issue with the catalytic converter. I asked him for a copy of the scan record. He then said they only use handheld scanners on non-Lexus vehicles and there is no record of the scan. I asked him to speak to the mechanic who conducted the scan, and he said, "that's not happening." He just kept saying it's not his problem, and never displayed any type of empathy or understanding. I finally just asked him if he'd buy the car back. He immediately said yes, jumped up, and came back with the same offer he claimed he made to the original owners. The whole thing gave me the sense that at best, they're incredibly sloppy with their inspections. At worst they're the worst type of car salesmen possible: fraudsters. I won't be going back, and would encourage you to find another more reputable business. It was a $5,800 lesson for me to always do an independent mechanic inspection when buying a car, even from a place that sells Lexus. Finally, don't buy a 2014 Volvo XC60 from them. It'll run you at least $8,600 in repairs. VIN YV4902DZ4E2544697 It's a lemon.

He wasn't even the business I princess asked a quite from but I liked his response the best. Getting a quote was easy, response was quick and the details he gave answered my questions before I even asked them. Scheduling was easy as well. He arrived early and was very professional. He even helped me jumpstart my car since it's been a while since it last ran. He was very detail oriented and really did a great job. He took the time to actually get in every nook and cranny to detail the car. There was a long list of what the detailing included and he made sure to check all of it. My car looks clean, shinny and smells great inside and looks very well taken cared of outside. I've had my car detailed with other guys before but they skimped on some things to cut time. OG Detailing doesn't do any of that. They take care of your car and make sure it looks its best. I would definitely get him to detail our other car when it's time. They told me their manager, Justin, would call me first thing on Monday to talk about next steps for getting my car fixed. Monday comes; no one calls me. On Tuesday I had to call them only for the manager to be nowhere to be found and I had to request that he call me back. By Thursday, STILL NOTHING! I had to call them AGAIN to find out what their plan was to make things right. They told me to get 2 quotes and let them know the cost. It will be $3,000 in repairs! Turns out, I'm the THIRD car within two weeks the repair shop has seen with similar damages from this Tommy's! Something is clearly wrong and its irresponsible and dangerous for them to continue at this rate. I went in for a service that should have taken 5-10 minutes and now I have to deal with thousands of dollars in damages and a business who is uncommunicative and seems like they couldn't care less.

Hass worked with the insurance company for the individual that hit us. We scheduled a time to drop off our vehicle. A few days later when we picked up our vehicle, I have to say it looked like a brand new vehicle. The bumper looked perfect. I decided upon North Star Car Wash (about 25 minutes from home) because of the 12 reviews/ all 5 stars/ emphasis upon " great thorough hand wash" and "great value ( Deluxe wash $20)". 1.Right off 694 and not far from 35W. VERY easy commute. 2. Appears like a small family Hispanic operation of EXTREMELY hard hard fast thorough workers 3. Starts with a high pressure soap blaster handled by the female owner along with a fellow furiously scrubbing the car with a long handled soap dispensing 12 inch wide brush. 4. You remain in the car Neutral, and the top massive huge moving brush/ mop ( with wide thick fabric pieces) most thoroughly scrubs the car top and top sides ( rare in car washes) while side brushes simultaneously hit the car sides. Very GOOD scrub. 5. Next I liked the thorough rinse then the MANY powerful air blasters ( more than normal) drying the car 6. Two fellows at the end RAPIDLY and so thoroughly hand wiped the car dry. 7. I was MOST thrilled by the TOP quality rare beautiful wax shine on my car. With a black car, I have always always sought out top quality wax for my car. Very excellent!! The entire staff kept up a consistent very high level of intense energy/ super hard efforts working on my car. They definitely go home each night wiped out! AMAZING results with very friendly, accommodating and available customer service. As a mom whose car is tortured with spilled milk, snacks ground in to every crevice, sand, fingerprints, etc. I just wanted my interior clean. However, what I got was simply AWESOME: it looked and smelled like a brand new car!!! Mike and his crew were even able to get the dried sunscreen out of my leather seats. We also had our other SUV detailed inside and out, in preparation for selling it. Again, we were blown away with the impeccable results. The car dealership buying it couldn't believe that the SUV looked so amazing! Maplewood Auto Salon's price is very reasonable for all that's included in each service; both of our car dealerships would've charged more for this same service and I'm sure the results wouldn't have been nearly as good. I highly recommend this business and am telling friends about it already. read more

I agree with everything in the review by Carol H. We also sold a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport in October 2014 via Owner 2 Owner on Highway 61 in Maplewood (Maplewood Auto Salon shares the same building). I had the vehicle detailed as part of the sales package. It looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor when Mike and his crew were finished with it. They even steam cleaned the engine compartment removing years of road guck. A potential buyer had seen it before it was detailed and immediately bought it literally as it rolled out of Mike's shop. Based on that experience, I just had our 2011 Toyota Highlander detailed. Again, looks like it just rolled out of the showroom. I am in total agreement with Carol H. in highly recommending this business. I have two more vehicles that I'm planning on having detailed by Mike and his amazing crew. read more

I brought my vehicle in for Interior Detailing before posting it for sale. There was an abundance of dog hair as my yellow lab takes at least 2 trips in my vehicle each day. Mike and his crew did an amazing job cleaning it up! I bought this vehicle used 5 years ago, and it has never looked better! It was so clean it almost made me second guess selling the vehicle... (I purchased my Acura from 4 years ago and wanted to say hello to the salesperson) I happened to see a car with the Maplewood Auto Salon signage- I asked of they do headlight restore as well as minor seat repair. I had an old car that another detailer had pretty much destroyed the paint on, on the hood and trunk, trying to bring back the shine from 20+ years of Arizona sun (inherited from a grandma). Stay away fro this lemonade sale the sold me a 25,000 worth of trash and lied. They know how to make check engine lights disappear till you make a buy all the cars look good but don't work. I brought my vehicle in for detailing after spilling a milk-based coffee drink on the floor which went under the passenger seat. Mike and his crew did a great job. The customer service was great, and went way beyond my expectations. Mike made me feel very comfortable and his honesty was greatly appreciated. Maplewood Auto Salon did a great job on my 2005 Honda CRV, I inherited this car from my Dad, who traveled a lot on gravel roads, kind of lived in the car and also used it as a mobile garden shed around the farm. The interior was very dirty! They warned me about some things that might not come completely clean and why, but it turned out better than I expected! read more

We had both our 2014 Malibu and our 2014 Silverado in to have the SkipChip protective film on. Mike was great to work with--very knowledgeable. He was happy to work within my time constraints, shuttle me to and from home and answer all my questions. All the staff there were great as well. They did a great job! I purchased a gift certificate for an interior detail and tried to upgrade to a full detail by paying the difference. Instead, I was told I couldn't because the gift card was "discounted," and I would only get what I paid -- even though the certificate clearly states a value of $189. Completely misleading and honestly feels like a scam. When I tried to question it, the cashier told me to "shut up" while she called the manager. Completely unacceptable. Then the manager/owner came over and matched that same energy -- sarcastic, dismissive, and more interested in arguing than actually helping or resolving anything. And on top of all of that, the detailing job itself was subpar. My carpet is still visibly dirty, and most of it looks like it wasn't even touched -- likely just covered by a mat instead of actually being cleaned. After years of supporting this business consistently, this is how I was treated. Disrespectful staff, poor-quality work, and zero accountability. They didn't just lose a customer -- they lost someone who supported them weekly for years.

I was going to get a couple different estimates, but after a discussion with Gary about what needed to be done, I felt extremely comfortable leaving my car with him. This was my first experience dealing with a body shop, and Gary walked me through all the steps I needed to take with my insurance company and was extremely helpful overall. They found hidden damage when they took the panel off, and instead of making me file another claim with insurance, Gary dealt with the insurance company on my behalf. It ended up taking a bit longer than expected because of the hidden damage, but Gary made sure to let me know where they were in the process and kept me up to speed. I was extremely impressed. And when I got my car back, they had even washed it inside and out! They make sure you know how much they appreciate your business, which is very important to me. Also, the free loaner car was another big plus considering I don't have that option in my insurance. And it wasn't just some junk car they have laying around - they work with an actual rental car company and just foot the bill, so I got to drive around in a car as nice as my own. Nice, huh?
