The problem started in early November. I woke up one morning with a horrible knot under my shoulder blade, and I couldn't tilt my head in that direction at all. By Thanksgiving the pain was much better, but my index finger on that side was numb. No matter what I did- anti inflammatories, stretching, exercise, even massage- the numbness was untouchable. Finally I saw my orthopedist the week before Christmas, and he scheduled me for an injection in my spine. He said, "schedule it for one month out, but in the meantime I suggest you try acupuncture. On August 20th I woke up with my SI muscle locked. Couldn't move a centimeter without feeling excruciating pain. It was a Sunday morning and to top it off Los Angeles was prepared for the hit of hurricane Hilary. I thought "what acupuncture place would be open today!?". I gave him information on what was going on and he was able to take me the same day! I was so full of gratitude that he even emailed over any paperwork that needed to be filled out to save time so we could get to the treatment as soon as I arrived. The building itself is very clean and has zen energy. Brian gave me easy to follow directions to find his office, walking into the space I immediately felt at peace based on the atmosphere. I met Brian and he was so pleasant and welcoming, most importantly friendly and ready to help me feel better. During our consultation an earthquake ensued. The only thing I could think of was, "I finally found someone to help I HOPE he doesn't cancel our session!" Lol, that's how bad my pain was. After checking in on a client that was undergoing treatment in the neighboring room he came back in and asked if I was still comfortable proceeding with the treatment given all the natural disasters going on at once. This is an update to my prior review. In all of my time doing acupuncture with other amazing practitioners, this has never happened. Glashow did something to my arm and hand with his acupuncture that 6 weeks later after my session with him, I still have throbbing and shooting pains in my left thumb and lower part of my hand. It's increasingly gotten worse to the point that I can no longer use my thumb or put any weight on my left hand without it being in excruciating pain. I can't believe it. I don't know what to do. I guess I'm going to have to see a hand doctor and see what, if anything, can be done but the longer it goes the worse it gets. I hope they don't tell me that this is permanent because he damaged a nerve. This acupuncturist is horrible. I've been to multiple acupuncturists in L.A., NYC, Miami, New Orleans, Atlanta and I've never had anything like this happen before. If you value your body being pain free, stay away from this man. He will only cause what could be permanent harm to you. read more

Went in for a treatment for minor sport injury and came out feeling BRAND NEW . So, the treatments were cupping, needling and some massage. I have done acupuncture a few times in my life, mainly for relaxation and curiosity but never found a place worth going back for a second time. I just finished my 6th appointment and Brian has helped me with a wide range of issues from lower back pain (the main reason I came) to issues with my shoulder and jaw plus craving better sleep.
