I was referred to Dr. Jang by a trusted friend who had suffered from chronic back pain for years. He was also an acupuncture skeptic, but told me, "He cured me." I'd tried acupuncture before with mixed results, but decided to see Dr. Jang for my persistent shoulder pain. After asking about my symptoms and examining my shoulder, he immediately said, "It's bursitis." I'd never even heard of bursitis. I felt immediate relief after the first session, although the pain returned. Concerned it might be a rotator cuff injury, I eventually got an X-ray--and sure enough, it was exactly what Dr. Jang had said: bursitis. I went back to Jang and after only a few more sessions, I'm now pain-free and played golf for the first time in six months! I then got to call my friend and also say, "He cured me!" Dr. Jang is a true healer. You can sense how carefully he listens and how genuinely dedicated he is to helping you heal. read more

I came to Dr Jang from mid December 2025 through March 2026. I had been battling horrific sciatica pain for nearly 2 years (due to a herniated disc). I had a failed microdiscectomy surgery and felt like I ran out of options. Someone recommended I try accupuncture, and specifically with Dr. Jang. My pain was 10/10 maximum pain when I first started seeing Dr. Jang. After understanding my situation, he told me it would take several sessions to begin feeling improvement- his commitment to healing and his compassionate approach led me to put total trust in Dr. Jang. He is patient and thorough and he cares for his patients. Even though I had a tougher case than most, I could sense his genuine desire to bring healing and pain relief to my situation. I am now pain free and able to live my day to day life without excruciating pain in every movement. It feels like a miracle that this has helped so much- thank you Dr. Jang! I recommend anyone living in pain to give acupuncture a try with Dr. Jang. read more

I read several reviews and I chose Dr. Jang because of his reviews. I went in having never been to an acupuncturist before and kept an open mind. I went in for mainly ankle pain that my western doctor insisted only surgery will relieve. Well 2 sessions and the ankle pain that I have been suffering with for months has gone away. I also have tinnitus and have asked him to treat me for that. He did tell me that it will take a while to treat, but is confident he will get it resolved! Thanks Dr. J read more

I cannot say enough great things about this man! Dr Jang is phenomenal. Not only does he know his craft but he's also the sweetest human being I've ever met. I was seeing him for over a year. He's helped me so much! Thank you Dr. Jang for all that you do! read more

Dr. Jang is very patient and friendly. He also fixed my neck pain in one visit after weeks of dealing with it. Excellent service!

Dr Jang has a unique approach to treat all kinds of symptoms. I went to him for perimenopause with hot flashes as well as insomnia and both symptoms were treated mainly by herbal medicine. He did acupuncture as well but it's not the main way that got rid of the hot flashes. He has wealth of knowledge, gentle manner, and truly unique gifts in Eastern medicine. Thank you Dr Jang read more

I have a full thickness tear of my shoulder rotator cuff. Surgery did not work and I don't want to do the next recommended surgery called a reverse shoulder replacement. I've never been to acupuncturist. But the Cortizone shots were not working. So, I decided to try something new, and that is Jang's Acupuncture. After the first session I began to feel a reduction in pain. By the 5th treatment there was a remarkable reduction in pain. I never imagined this would work, but it did. Because of my condition, I guess sooner or later the pain will return, at which time I will get right back to Jang for further treatments. Thank you Jang!!! Thank you!!! No surgery!!! read more

I had been having bad stomach issues for years and my gastroenterologist was trying different medications to solve the problem. However, nothing really seemed to work and finally I just kind of gave up. But after a couple sessions with Dr. Jang my stomach issues were so much better. It was night and day. The pain was gone. I could sleep through the night without interruption and I even started to be able to eat some food that I hadn't been able to eat for years. I feel very luck to have found him. Dr. Jang is a very kind and compassionate acupuncturist. I would high recommend him. He really s quite special. read more

Jang's Acupunture is incredible and I cannot say enough good things. I have been seeing him for a few months now for an elbow injury/tendon tear coupled with carpel tunnel and tennis elbow/golfers elbow. The injury happened March 2024, and I started seeing Jang end of November 2024, I wish I had seen him sooner. Prior to seeing Dr. Jang, I had been to countless doctors, with 3 separate specialists telling me that I needed surgery for my tendon tear injury (which with surgery for this type of injury there is no guarantee it will make it better/solve the problem). I was in such pain, what I was able to do physically was so limited that I couldn't even lift a glass of water, and I had to take months off of work (I work a physical job). A friend recommended Jang's Acupunture and all I can say is WOW. Dr. Jang has immensely helped me, it is now March of 2025 and my elbow injury is healed, my life is back to normal and best of all I do not need to get surgery. I could not be more grateful to him, he is a true gem and the sweetest, kindest human. He actually genuinely cares and wants to help you, and he takes the time each appointment to address every issue I was experiencing. I never felt rushed. He is incredible and I now recommend him to everyone I encounter. If you have pain, injury, chronic inflammation, or other issues, I am a true believer of acupuncture, (going consistently is key) and could not recommend Jang's Acupunture more. 10000000/10 stars, exceptional. read more

I started seeing Choong-Il a few years prior to covid for a chronic cough my Doctors couldn't figure out. It was diagnosed as asthma but none of the asthma treatments seem to make it go away. I had 3 co-workers who already saw Choong-Il and though I was nervous to have acupuncture for the first time, boy was I glad I did. One year of coughing, gone in a week! After finally experiencing acupuncture and having such a positive experience I started to go for other ailments. I was entering peri-menopause and having very painful periods and he helped with that. If I started to feel sick, I would see him for acupuncture and herbal treatments. After covid, I went a few years not getting back to see him. After my second bout with covid my chronic cough returned and got so bad, I was off to Choong-Il's rescue. This time around it took persistence and we discovered it was TWO ailments making me cough. Again, what Doctors prescribed wasn't working and through his diligence, he figured it out. I highly recommend him. If you are scared of the needles, it is absolutely worth at least trying. I promise once you try it, you too will start to recommend it (and him!) read more

I strongly recommend Dr Jang's Acupuncture. He validates your injury and shows genuine interest in helping you get better. He's professional, realistic and optimistic. I have been seeing Dr Jang for a few months and I have seen improvements which have helped me with my confidence. He uses a variety of different acupuncture techniques and I have benefited from them all. Dr Jang shares an office space with other health professionals. His acupuncture rooms are sanitary, clean and I always feel safe. There is also a gender neutral restroom. Free parking limited up front or park in neighborhood. I pay by cc after session and get a text receipt. Dr Jang has a courtesy reminder of your upcoming session via text which I like. He does get busy so kindly return the courtesy with a confirmation so someone else can take your spot if you are unable to keep your appointment. I believe that you will be in good hands with Dr Jang. Call to schedule your appointment. read more

Dr. Jang is the best thing to happen to me since my nervous system got out of whack. I had a terrible circadian rhythm disorder and chronic fatigue that left me having about 4 hours of usable energy a day and Dr. Jang gave me my energy and ability to sleep more normally back. Basically my issues went from completely debilitating to very manageable. Every couple of weeks I am seeing more and more recovery. My quality of life was basically terrible before I started acupuncture with him (I was in immense suffering) and I credit his work for being the #1 thing that has helped me start to get closer to normalcy on my recovery journey. THANK YOU DR JANG read more

Jang's Acupuncture did it again. My plantar fasciitis has improved so much, I can't believe I can walk without pain. I struggled with it for months before going back trying all the home remedies of insoles, massage, topical pain creams, tennis ball therapy, etc. What a mistake in delaying this treatment. Honestly, it was a bit painful but the results are incredible. If I didn't do this myself, I would have thought it unbelievable. Thanks again! read more

For me Dr. Jang is the go-to acupuncturist. His knowledge and experience is authentic & deep; and he's entirely passionate as a practitioner. He excels at acupuncture for sports unjury healing and internal issues. I've seen him over 10 times now, due to periodic nerve and muscle flare ups due to work stress. Prior to my visits I'm often wondering if I'll in fact get better - but I always do thanks to his expertise and the miraculous methods of acupuncture he employs. One thing of note with him is that he doesn't bore of trying to improve my health. Each time I visit him it feels like he's as interested as ever, & he seems to constantly be diagnostically aware of what's working and changing as we go forward. I'm far less prone to exhaustion and injury in the problem area, and confident to work out & hike. I'm so glad I gave his treatments a try. read more

Dr. Jang is so caring and passionate about helping people. I recently had Covid-19 and I lost sense of smell and taste. This review is long over due but in my case the later the better because I was suffering from chronic back pain for a very long time. I have multiple injuries to the tailbone and spine, so basically the problem areas are L5, S1 and I had done stem cell injections and steroid injection a couple of times. My pain was so bad that I couldn't sit, I was limping because of another problem (hipbone arthritis) which steroid shot made worse and couldn't do any physical activity. I know this sounds horrible and it was. I am 43 years old, very active and driving my kids to the their after school programs had become a nightmare. Driving just in general is what makes my pain worse. I was angry all the time and taking pain medicine every single day, sometimes twice a day just to make the pain bearable, because it won't go away and just lie in bed helpless. Every afternoon after 2:00pm pain, limping and sciatic nerve pinching would start. I had heard about Dr. Jang from close family members and they suggested I go see him. I knew acupuncture works for many things but I didn't know It could correct your spine and reverse arthritis(truly powerful). When I met with Dr. Jang he suggested I commit only to one thing to heal. I was doing physical therapy but in my case it wasn't working. I also had gym membership and was doing training to work on my abdominal muscles and etc.. that wasn't working for me either. It's been 3 months now that Dr. Jang is working on multiple problems regarding my back twice a week and I have to say that I didn't think it was possible to be able to walk for long hours, sit, drive and live life without any pain and no pain medication. I took my daughter to Disneyland yesterday we were there from 9:00am to 10:00pm. I did just fine! Not a single Advil. I am completely fine. I can do moderate exercise, walk, drive and live my life happy knowing I have this amazing, gifted human being that really cares about you and knows that he can help you heal there for me. Thank you Dr. Jang you are amazing! Thank for giving me my life back. I will never take it for granted. I am so grateful and strongly recommend Dr. Jang (Jang's Acupuncture). read more

I found Dr. Jang on Yelp almost two years ago when I first moved to the area. I had an excellent acupuncturist in my old area and am very picky about who works on me. They have to be highly sensitive and skilled. With Dr. Jang I feel lucky to have found him -- I have been extremely happy with his work. Really I cannot recommend him highly enough. The past two years have been over the top stressful due to work and personal changes, and Dr. Jang's treatments are the saving grace that got me through it all. He helped me recover from: digestive issues, back and neck pain, weird intense nerve pain in my finger, migraines, the flu and every time he is thoughtful and I always feel noticeably better after seeing him. Sometimes the recovery is miraculous! He is also very laid-back about booking appointments and almost not pushy enough. Be pro-active and get in there! I am very grateful when I do. read more

Dr. Jang knows his business, big time. I came to him suffering with that chest congestion stuff that was going around. Whenever I get an infection like that it turns into a four to five month infection and I was training for a 1/2 marathon. Within in 30 days, it was gone. He is now treating my sciatica. My leg and back have never felt better. If you are serious about healing, Dr. Jang is the man to see. read more
