This a good studio for beginners. The Signature "Hot" Yoga is lukewarm at best, which was such a let-down because I was told that it gets up to 105 degrees...it barely reached 80. While the instructors are friendly and welcoming, there's not much flow or breath-to-movement. The routine felt like random moves just following one after the other. I also found the loud breathing of the instructor a bit facetious, if not comical. The lighting also did not make sense. Went from dark to bright for no reason. The studio is clean, but there's no showers. They offer small dry and wet/eucalyptus scented towels for use during /after class. Parking in the lot is free up to 90 minutes. read more

First time yesterday and I prob won't be back to this location. I loved the class because it's exactly what my body is looking for after spending 6 months doing chemo and almost a year out of not being active but the welcoming i got was not very inviting. As soon as i walked in I got starred at as if i didn't belong there lol. Not sure if it was bc I used class pass or bc I really didn't belong there. Took my first hot yoga class here through ClassPass, and it was a really great experience! The waiver process was really quick and fast, and they gave me a quick tour of the studio, there was even a sign in front that said welcome to the new members with my name on it, which I thought was very cute The hot yoga instructor I believe her name was Molly was super welcoming, and gave me a lot of advice as it was my first hot yoga experience. I really enjoyed the ambient lighting and relaxed, nonjudgmental atmosphere, it was tough, but I really rewarding experience, and I will be back for sure! Also, there is a small parking structure below the plaza it is located in as well as a few metered parking on the street. read more

Amazing greet at the door! I have never done hot yoga, but not only was the instructor supportive and very helpful, but as a whole the environment was positive. The work out was definitely a work out and I enjoyed challenging myself in all ways; mind body and soul. I have been going to YogaSix for a bit over two years now. I have done many classes with many of the amazing instructors that YogaSix studio city provides. However, I do have to say that Andrea at YogaSix is an exceptional instructor. I have grown so much throughout my practice with her guidance and care for each one of her students that takes her classes. A lot of the times the studio is very community inclusive however, I have not felt as included at YogaSix Studio City. Andrea ensures each one of her students feels accepted by going out of her way to introduce herself to every student and any newcomers that join her class. It is truly a safe space when I am under her instruction and made to feel part of a community. What I love most about her guidance is she challenges you but also ensure you are safe with your body. I was in town for a wedding, but I had to make sure I snuck in time for my personal practice. I was happy to find a Yoga Six in Studio City, which was where I was staying. As a y6 yoga teacher myself, I felt like I found my home studio away from home for the time being. Overall customer service was great. A gentleman at the front desk helped check me in and got me acquainted to the studio. He was friendly and personable, so I felt immediately welcomed to the space. I took Leon's 9am Slow Flow, and it was exactly what I needed. It was challenging enough, and I've just always enjoyed the heat, music, and lighting effects that make y6 classes unique. Leon was a wonderful instructor. I appreciated his focus on alignment and motivation cues, and I loved how he dropped nuggets of yoga philosophy during class. Yoga Six in Pasadena is a very unique Yoga experience. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. All the Yoginis are very talented and meet you where you are with your practice. Once I got there the staff were so welcoming and I quickly felt at ease. The instructor was Ryan and he did a great job, I feel I learned a lot for my first class and it was way more of a workout than I thought it would be, definitely had some strength positions in there that would help for toning which is what I need. Just went to hot yoga today and absolutely loved it. Anya was the instructor and was amazing. The class was challenging but easy to follow. There was repetition but not to much, just enough to get the benefit and flow of the movements. I liked how Anya walked around the class and made sure everyone was "flowing" correctly. Love this place! It quickly became my yoga "home" after only a few classes. The space is just the right size, with one large room where all classes are held. I found my yoga studio! I've been doing yoga for 20 years and I became very particular with what I want in a studio and this one is completely it!!!! Perfect temperature where I don't feel like I'm going to throw up or faint. Perfect music where I don't feel like my east drums are being blown out by trash music. There was space where I'm not hitting the person next to me. The teacher was very very attentive before, during and after. And the pace was just right. I am blown away. It has been decades since I've gone to any yoga classes. I decided to try YogaSix (Y6) because it is a new name to me and I thought yoga would be fun to try again. There is free underground parking. JC (sorry if I misspelled her name) helped me make my appointments and she's great with follow-up. Jeff greets me at the front and is great at mult-tasking when he manages all of us students mobbing him afterwards for questions, appointments, etc. So far, my instructors have been Sam and Anya (again, sorry if I misspelled). Y6 is a nicely appointed space that offers two roomy bathrooms that are well-appointed. The entire place is clean, cozy, and inviting and there is ample storage for your belongings outside the studio. The attention to detail is impressive and this is a great example of how it's the little things that count. Y6 has really made the most of their space and I absolutely appreciate it. I bring my own towel, mat, and water bottle, but those items are available for puchase. There is also a selection of apparel that I have to really try hard to resist because everything looks so attractive and tempting. You can fill your water bottle at a nifty water dispenser, as well. I'd never done yoga in a warm studio, and it was something for me to get used to. I really do like the studio, and the classes I attend are full, but I never got the feeling of an overcrowded environment. Y6 staff does a good job of controlling capacity. The lighting is very relaxing, and Sam and Anya choose great music. Both instructors teach classes that are challeging to me, but they aren't impossible. They leave room for going above your limit. They coach those of us who have limitations by showing us how to modify poses. They really do a good job of tailoring the class to each individual based on their needs and challenges. Sam and Anya are such great instructors that I can close my eyes, listen to their calm voices, and follow their instructions exactly without peeking to see what the rest of my classmates are doing. I am drawn into the moment, and achieve self-awarenes and mindfulness. I do find myself sweating during the classes. At the end of class, the instructor walks around unobtrusively and fans a eucalyptus (I think) infused towel above each student, which is a nice touch. Afterwards, I feel very relaxed and relieved, but I do have to go home and nap for quite some time. It's like I had an intense massage. The only request I have is that Y6 open one up in my own community, which is 20 minutes from Studio City. However, I really love this place and it's made me look at yoga in a whole new way. read more
