Local female owned yoga studio. Faye has made sure that this isn't just a yoga studio that you come to for class, she's building a community around it. Its full service, so you just have to show up, and your mat and props are ready to go. She also offers water, tea, and fruit. I have tried a majority of the teachers and classes. So if you are new to the studio or to yoga, then I highly recommend signing up for the one week beginner trial and trying as many classes as you can to get a feel for all the different classes and teachers. There are many teachers who I love and connect with, and to be honest their are some who's teaching styles don't speak to me. That's the beauty of this place and all the options. I did see someone leave a one star review that only took one class, and said that this place is only for beginners. I've been doing yoga for years, and have taken Flow and Power Flow classes at this studio with Faye, Chantal, and Virginia where they tried to guide you through more advanced poses/ techniques. Even in the gentle flow classes that I've taken with Faye and Darby, they give you the space to make it your own practice and go into more advanced techniques if you have them in your practice during their class. They always offer different options for everyone in class, based on their experience/ practice/ body. I also highly recommend taking breathwork with Elaine on Monday nights and the sound bath on Sunday nights, and give it a second chance if you're tried it once before. The first time, its hard to get out of your head, but once you can get present and go with the flow of what your body needs, its a great experience. I always feel lighter afterwards. read more

From reading the raving reviews about this studio, I just had to come try it out. My SO and I tried out Yin Yoga for the first time. As a yogi for several years, I already knew this was going to be a challenging class for me as I find restorative classes to be challenging to find a comfortable position for the minutes we stay in each pose for. We arrived and the place is so cute. It's a nice entrance walking up to the loft and everything is very minimalist. I liked that they had essential oils for us to use and all the materials were provided. It was my first time using the yoga blanket and bolster during a practice too. Alice was very warm and friendly. Her instruction was very calming and meditative. It was a nice push for me to do more yin / restorative yoga classes. read more

I love this little gem of a studio. It's elegant and very welcoming. From the moment you step inside and remove your shoes, you are transported into a tranquil space where you can make yourself a cup of herbal tea, visit the essential oil bar and prepare for an amazing yoga experience. I live in the north end of the SFV but after being given a recommendation from a yoga instructor friend, I decided to try a class. I took an evening class with Aimee, and she embodied everything I am looking for in an instructor. She was highly skilled, motivating and supportive with each student no matter where they were in their yoga journey. Wonderful Yin Yoga & Soundbath with Faye. I felt detoxified, cleansed of a long busy week, & relaxed for the evening. The Bloom Loft is a beautiful, soothing, & clean space. It's complete with everything you need in pristine quality & condition - mats, blocks, bolsters, & blankets. Step in, put your things down on the huge cubby wall with plenty of room, grab some hot tea, & get settled. Faye was really nice to ask everyone beforehand if there were any injuries or conditions to know about before starting practice to make personalized suggestions (for example: I'm pregnant & should avoid major twisting motions / positions). Everyone was very well taken care of. It was also fully booked so I'm glad I booked in advance! I couldn't recommend more & hope to be back very soon! read more

It's the @Light_skin_dragon coming back with a real honest tasteful review. My friend David got us a spot for free for this breathing technique class. It has been awhile since I hung out with him so he decided to get us a class to work on breathing. I asked him for his help because he done it before and he came through with some help for me. I was skeptical about the class but I really felt the class that worked!!! After a long day at work on veterans day. I didn't go to get free food because I didn't have my daughter like I planned to taking her to get free stuff with me. But I worked and after work I came here. I found street parking and I was scared because David told me that 5 min before class starts you can't walk in. But I was happy that that wasn't the case. I came in for my first time and the lady welcomed me in and had me sign a formal for liability purposes. Then I found a empty yoga mat and on the floor and had to leave my shoes at the door. The teacher was very informative and expressed how the breathing could cause different feelings and envolk your body to do strange things. I thought it was a joke but I honestly felt like throwing up during the time there, I was crying and even felt paralyzed for a moment. My thoughts came out and it was in my head which was overwhelming at a point but I had to allow it to come and go. So after that I felt my charakras is out of line and my energy is in the wrong places. Overall great class and and the Light_skin_dragon will be back to get back to his regular self. What a beautiful studio and peaceful atmosphere. I really enjoyed the classes I took at Bloom Loft with their unlimited $30 special for a week. The first class was with Jen who is a co-owner. I took her Wednesday evening class which was a nice balanced flow. I also took Rahul and Sarah's class on Sunday. I have been wanting to try Ashtanga and it was great they offered it at this studio. Sarah s class was very peaceful and relaxing. Alice's class on Mondays was fun. She's very energetic and bubbly. The last class I took was with Ryan. She was very welcoming, patient and kind. There are a lot of great classes at Bloom Loft and I highly recommend it! Also love the tea, essential oils and that they do kot charge to use their mats read more

Uff, I don't want to do this but feel it's important with all of these fantastic reviews. I've only taken one class but have to be transparent with my experience. This is an okay place to go for beginner yoga BUT this isn't going to be where you advance. I am surprised the prices are comparable to more advanced teaching spaces - but then again, LA be expensive! Listen, I don't want to hurt this place! I just hope that with time they develop a solid environment for those of us who know how absolutely life changing yoga truly is! But in order to advance, you need great teachers, who give excellent instructions to build upon. read more

Ever since my old yoga studio (Yoga Blend in Burbank) closed down, I have been searching for a studio where I felt a real sense of community and I have finally found that in Bloom Loft! Jen and Faye, who run the studio, are the loveliest people and they have built a wonderful, close-knit community in a very short time of being open (only a few months). Although the studio can be tricky to find the first time (go down the little alley to the left of Landon Realty and then up the stairs and to the right), once you do arrive, you will be greeted with a calming oasis perfectly appointed to fill you with zen the moment you walk in. The sage green colors with gold accents draw you to the kitchen where there is a plethora of fruit (I'm partial to the mandarin oranges myself!) as well as infused water and multiple types of hot tea. Bloom Loft is a full-service studio, meaning you don't have to bring your own mat (you can if you want of course!) or props. They always set everything up for you - mat, blanket, bolster, blocks, strap, eye mask - whatever that class calls for. There is a nice variety of classes from flow to yin to breath work and sound baths. I love taking all of the classes! (And the variety of workshops too!) And their teachers are truly second to none. I fear listing them out because I may forget someone, but they are all fantastic (Alice, Darby, Jen, Amy, Ryan, Sarah, Elaine, Swan, Fernando). More than anything, it's the community that keeps me coming back. I have met such amazing people here, from the women who run the studio to the teachers to the other students. It has honestly become like a second family and I am so grateful to Jen and Faye for pouring their hearts into making Bloom Loft an integral part of the Toluca Lake/Burbank community. read more

I attended a class through class pass. I parked on the street on a Sunday morning and it was easy enough. Alice was a great teacher. She was supportive of everyone's limits and injuries, and offered alternatives to poses. The studio is through a door outside and up some stairs. It is so nice to finally have a studio close to work and home. They provide a variety of yoga and wellness classes that meet my availability. All the teachers have been welcoming and very helpful with any modifications or guidance I may need. The space is clean and calming. Mats, equipment, and refreshments are all provided for you.
