A small rock recently cracked my windshield on a Wednesday morning. The place I normally use didn't have any availability whatsoever for several weeks, and I was worried the crack would only get bigger during that time. So that same night, I used Yelp's project feature to see if I could find anyone with sooner availability. Glas Tek was the first business to contact me, and I heard from them quite literally less than 10 minutes after submitting the request. I can't say enough great things about their responsiveness and friendly, straightforward communication. The whole process start to end was smooth and stress-free. That same night, we scheduled a time for someone to come and fix the crack the very next day. Dennis ended up coming to my work on Thursday morning, and I received a text from him letting me know that my windshield was all fixed and that I could call him to provide my payment. I had another small crack on my windshield that had already been there for almost a year, and he was able to fix that one too. I was very impressed that he was able to repair it! My windshield looks perfect. Also, the price to fix both cracks cost almost HALF the price of the place I have visited in the past. Without a doubt, Glas Tek will be my new go-to from now on, and I will recommend this place to everyone I know! Thank you SO much for the amazing experience, Dennis! read more

Contacted Spencer Auto Glass for repair to chip/crack in windshield of our Lexus. Response was prompt and scheduled for the next day. Excellent service at a reasonable price. What more can you ask for. Very happy with Spencer Auto Glass. read more

Very responsive to request for quote (on a Sunday, no less), and answered all questions promptly. Pricing was fair and the technician who performed the work was extremely professional. Payment was easy as well. read more

I'm giving this review because the repairman saw that the damage on my windshield didn't need repairing since it was an old fix. He charged me nothing for his time to come out and see it. I greatly appreciate his honest advice and if I do run into a crack I'll be sure to call him back read more

Dennis is the Best He's knowledgeable, He's Competent He's Reasonable Over All Great Experience Thanks Dennis read more

Everything from the initial contact through finalizing the work went incredibly smoothly. Service and communication was amazing. I had to have a full windshield replacement that was done at my convenience in my own driveway. I definitely recommend glas tek. read more

REPAIR NOT REPLACEMENT This is one of those....hope you don't need it. But let's face it, at some point you will probably be driving along and when you're not expecting it a rock comes out of nowhere and chips your windshield...probably followed by a string of expletives. Now what? Well, you're in luck if you know about Dennis at Glas-Tek. Check out his website. It's far more comprehensive than anything else I found and he's right up front about his pricing. Yelp members...he has a 10% off coupon for you. Communication could not have been better. Fast response to my call. Was able to schedule me the following day....wait, my time to meet in person is small and my car will be in a full lot...not a problem at all. Dennis texted a picture from the parking lot to confirm my car, started working so he was done during my small window. He says I don't even have to be extra cautious scraping windshield when we get ice this winter. Let's talk pricing. I got three quotes. Dennis was LESS THAN HALF either price. I honestly hope you don't get a chipped windshield but if you do, please call Glas-Tek. You won't be sorry. I can't give Dennis enough praise. read more

Glas Tek Windshield Repair - Chips before. - Windshield Installation & Repair Near Me - St. Louis, Missouri

I had a small chip on my windshield and contacted Dennis through Yelp. I've called Glas-Tek about 5 years ago for a different car I owned and when the current car needed windshield repair, I knew who to call. My husband used their service too and we are both very happy with Glas-Tek. They can come to your location which is such a huge convenience and the pricing is fair. Highly recommend! read more

Highly recommend Dennis! As soon as I put in a request online and he called me immediately and scheduled him to come the next day. He was very polite. He is even text-friendly which I enjoy since I work all day and it's hard to schedule and get these things done. Great installation and great price. You can tell he cares about his customers! Will use for anything in the future! read more

This is the edit I promised on my earlier review. As I mentioned previously, the staff have been very responsive and I am now very pleased. Everyone has been great to work with and very forthcoming with any challenges they had. Once we got our rescheduled appointment set, all went smoothly. Everyone (from the owner to the accounts payables person) is affable and professional. I would recommend them to anyone and I will enlist their services again for my other cars should I need them. Regarding Spencer, a few years ago, they became affiliated. All great people and excellent service in the end. The only reason it's four stars instead of five is we didn't accomplish what we needed to in the first go around so i lost productivity in my business. read more

Very responsive in my request for a quote. Was able to schedule the technician to come out to my home within two days of contacting them. Highly recommended, great quality and service. read more

I had a small chip / crack in my window from a rock on the interstate. Reached out for a quote on a Sunday afternoon, had a response later in the day, and the windshield was repaired on that Monday! Quick, efficient, great pricing, etc. I cannot say enough good things about Dennis and his service! read more

Did a great job. Arrived on time; didn't take long and repair person was very friendly.

Awesome service from start to finish. Dennis was helpful and Kurt was professional, on time and provided amazing service.

Excellent, fast service! I submitted a service request on line at 11:30 AM today. Dennis called me at 12:30 PM and happened to be in my area between service calls. He was at my car at 1:00 PM and repaired my chipped windshield by 1:10. He also gave me some stickers to put on future cracks that will keep out dirt/rain until I can give them a call to fix. Triple thumbs up! read more

Great follow up to request. Fast turnaround. Tech called to say he was on the way. Even though replacement glass he brought was warped he noticed and without my request call to get a replacement that day. Install was fast and tech was very professional. read more

Can't say anything negative. As soon as I submitted the online form he called me and said he'd be there in 15 minutes. My windshield was done within a half hour of starting my internet search. Now THAT is impressive. He did say that the other review that said mention yelp or a new customer isn't true, but for $70 and immediate service, it was still a great deal! read more

My car's windshield developed a nice sized chip from one of those gravel spewing semi's on 270 which in the span of 24 hours expanded into about a 4+ inch long crack too. I wanted to get this fixed quickly as it was spreading to the edge of my windshield. After searching around, I found Dennis & Glas Tek & gave him a ring. I love the fact that when I called Glass Tek, Dennis the owner personally answered my call and he himself came and fixed the crack and the chip within 24 hours right at my office. No need to drive across town and wait for this to be done. I really appreciate, look for & value the understanding, experience and personal touch that small businesses like Glas Tek deliver. His price was more than fair and I will continue to refer them to others who are looking for glass repair. read more

Absolutely grade A class act. Dennis responded to my request for quote within 15 minutes, and was able to do my repair within a few hours. Very professional, explained everything as he did it, and great price. My chip was very small, but he repairs all sizes of cracks and chips. He'll come to you! Highly recommended! read more

very professional, very timely manner. Would highly recommend. Great customer service

Excellent customer service, The repair took no time at all and looks great!  The chip in my windshield is barely noticeable now. I highly recommend dealing with this company, not just because buying local supports our economy but because they genuinely do care more than any of the big franchise operations. For my money, this is the shop to call. Jane read more

Overall great service! I called to make my reservation, and Dennis was very accommodating with my sxhedule. I opted for an appointment the next day but same day appointments were available (I called around 10am). He drives out to your car, so it's really convenient. At my appointment time, Dennis called to say that he had found my car and had already started working on my windshield. When I met him outside, he was nearly finished with the job. (I had only a small dime sized chip) He explained what he was doing and what it would look like when he was finished. He also gives you $10 off if you check in on yelp or if you are a new customer--you simply have to ask. read more

Had a nasty chip on the road trip to St.Louis 2 days after we bought the car. Researched on yelp and reached out to Dennis who did a great job fixing it and walked me through what he was doing. Wouldn't hesitate to use him again. read more

I needed my windshield repaired and the owner Dennis responded quickly to my quote request and I was given a next day appointment . The technician was nice who installed my windshield within an hour. Dennis is AMAZING! This was my first experience getting a crack on my window and not knowing what to do, I searched on yelp for advice. Surely, I discover Glas-Tek Windshield Repair, which had great 5/5 ratings and only excellent reviews. So, I emailed Dennis the picture of my cracked window and he replied that it was going to be difficult to fix due to the placement of the crack, but he was willing to come over and try to repair the crack. When he came to check out the crack, he was not able to fully repair it (maybe 75% of it). He told me don't worry about the repair cost, even though he was able to fix some of it. He was honest and great. He is definitely the one to go to if you ever need a cheap repair. I am definitely going to recommended him to all my friends. read more

Outstanding service. I put in an online reservation request, but hadn't heard anything and called. The owner returned my call (I left a message) immediately. Apparently the online reservation system was down (he hadn't known it -- my call is what alerted him). He was very apologetic, and came out and checked out my vehicle in the same day. But what impressed me the most was his integrity. After looking at my car, he essentially talked me out of getting service. What I thought was a serious problem, he made me understand was really more cosmetic than anything else. He was honest and thorough. I will probably still ultimately get my windshield replaced, albeit now not for another month or two, and will definitely go to him for that. Oh, and I did some calling around, and he had the best rate that I saw. But I would strongly recommend going with Glas Tek over another company even if it's $30-40 more. So many people in this industry will nickel and dime you to death, and will rip you off at any turn. He will not, and that's easily worth a slight premium IMO. read more

We just moved to St Louis and don't know anyone in the area, so when I needed to get the windshield fixed, I searched and found Glas-Tek. I sent a message to request an appointment, and Dennis called me back in just a few minutes. He was able to fix the windshield that day, which was perfect for our schedule. We are so pleased, we received great service at a very reasonable price! I highly recommend! read more

Dennis came out to repair a long crack in my windshield and it was one of the best interactions I have had with a company in a long time. As a business consultant, I constantly find myself critiquing how businesses are run. Most businesses I interact with are lacking product quality, customer service or have poor leadership, sometimes a combination of all three. Glas Tek is a rare case where the company is not lacking in any of these three departments. I could see Glas Tek successfully expanding far beyond its current market. Specific examples from my experience include: Customer Service - Dennis was very courteous every time I spoke with him and he hit dead on his anticipated arrival time. He seemed to have a legitimate concern about my situation and offered me an amazing rate on my repair. He gave me tips for taking care of the repair and he answered every question I had except one. The one question he didn't have an answer for during the repair, he researched and gave me a call later that day with a follow up response (This was after our transaction was complete and he had no obligation to investigate). Leadership - You can have good employees led by bad management, but in this case, the employee is the leadership and it seems like he understands his industry well. Product Quality - Only time will tell for sure, but I am very comfortable with the repair given the personal guarantee for one year. Mine is only a temporary fix until a windshield becomes available for my car, but I would trust it long term. Crack looks much better than it did before Dennis filled it. I would highly recommend using Glas Tek for windshield repair. read more

My experience with Dennis at Glas-Tek was incredible, so much so I created a Yelp account just to leave a review. My main concern was preventing two large rock impacts from spreading and causing a need for a new windshield. Trying to find local providers for almost any service is a pain nowadays since national companies SEO and buy ads to trick you. Dennis' company site shows up in the front of the search results in Yelp, which is how I found him. His reviews are all positive and effusive in praise, which is usually a warning sign. I researched more and decided to contact Dennis. Within minutes Dennis responded via email and we arranged a time the next day to do the repairs. Dennis showed up on time, the work is great and he explained what he did and the factors influencing how the chips got there. All the positive reviews are well deserved. If you are looking for quality work, hire Dennis. If you are looking for a painless process, hire Dennis. If you are looking for a passionate professional, hire Dennis. read more
