A small rock recently cracked my windshield on a Wednesday morning. The place I normally use didn't have any availability whatsoever for several weeks, and I was worried the crack would only get bigger during that time. I can't say enough great things about their responsiveness and friendly, straightforward communication. The whole process start to end was smooth and stress-free. That same night, we scheduled a time for someone to come and fix the crack the very next day. Dennis ended up coming to my work on Thursday morning, and I received a text from him letting me know that my windshield was all fixed and that I could call him to provide my payment. I had another small crack on my windshield that had already been there for almost a year, and he was able to fix that one too. I was very impressed that he was able to repair it! REPAIR NOT REPLACEMENT This is one of those....hope you don't need it. But let's face it, at some point you will probably be driving along and when you're not expecting it a rock comes out of nowhere and chips your windshield...probably followed by a string of expletives. This is the edit I promised on my earlier review. As I mentioned previously, the staff have been very responsive and I am now very pleased. Everyone has been great to work with and very forthcoming with any challenges they had. Once we got our rescheduled appointment set, all went smoothly. Everyone (from the owner to the accounts payables person) is affable and professional. I would recommend them to anyone and I will enlist their services again for my other cars should I need them. Regarding Spencer, a few years ago, they became affiliated. All great people and excellent service in the end. My car's windshield developed a nice sized chip from one of those gravel spewing semi's on 270 which in the span of 24 hours expanded into about a 4+ inch long crack too. Overall great service! I called to make my reservation, and Dennis was very accommodating with my sxhedule. I opted for an appointment the next day but same day appointments were available (I called around 10am). He drives out to your car, so it's really convenient. Dennis is AMAZING! This was my first experience getting a crack on my window and not knowing what to do, I searched on yelp for advice. Surely, I discover Glas-Tek Windshield Repair, which had great 5/5 ratings and only excellent reviews. So, I emailed Dennis the picture of my cracked window and he replied that it was going to be difficult to fix due to the placement of the crack, but he was willing to come over and try to repair the crack. When he came to check out the crack, he was not able to fully repair it (maybe 75% of it). He told me don't worry about the repair cost, even though he was able to fix some of it. Outstanding service. I put in an online reservation request, but hadn't heard anything and called. The owner returned my call (I left a message) immediately. Apparently the online reservation system was down (he hadn't known it -- my call is what alerted him). He was very apologetic, and came out and checked out my vehicle in the same day. But what impressed me the most was his integrity. After looking at my car, he essentially talked me out of getting service. What I thought was a serious problem, he made me understand was really more cosmetic than anything else. He was honest and thorough. I will probably still ultimately get my windshield replaced, albeit now not for another month or two, and will definitely go to him for that. Oh, and I did some calling around, and he had the best rate that I saw. But I would strongly recommend going with Glas Tek over another company even if it's $30-40 more. So many people in this industry will nickel and dime you to death, and will rip you off at any turn. He will not, and that's easily worth a slight premium IMO. read more

Dennis came out to repair a long crack in my windshield and it was one of the best interactions I have had with a company in a long time. As a business consultant, I constantly find myself critiquing how businesses are run. Most businesses I interact with are lacking product quality, customer service or have poor leadership, sometimes a combination of all three. Glas Tek is a rare case where the company is not lacking in any of these three departments. I could see Glas Tek successfully expanding far beyond its current market. Specific examples from my experience include: Customer Service - Dennis was very courteous every time I spoke with him and he hit dead on his anticipated arrival time. He seemed to have a legitimate concern about my situation and offered me an amazing rate on my repair. He gave me tips for taking care of the repair and he answered every question I had except one. The one question he didn't have an answer for during the repair, he researched and gave me a call later that day with a follow up response (This was after our transaction was complete and he had no obligation to investigate). Leadership - You can have good employees led by bad management, but in this case, the employee is the leadership and it seems like he understands his industry well. Product Quality - Only time will tell for sure, but I am very comfortable with the repair given the personal guarantee for one year. Mine is only a temporary fix until a windshield becomes available for my car, but I would trust it long term. Crack looks much better than it did before Dennis filled it.
