Love love love this place, the workers, and the awesome job they do on your nails! Always make an appointment. They are always booked so they have no choice but to turn away walk ins. I have seen people get offended for this but what do you want the nail salon to do? Cancel all their appointments?....smh. Any how I usually book with Kim if she's unavailable then I book with Sang. Everyone else seems pretty cool and nice. They're all respectful towards me and the other customers I see there. The bad reviews are from cheap people who can't pay their prices. Then don't come in here. The work they do reflects in their prices. I rather pay more for clean beautiful nails than those nasty cheap salon and catch an infection. Respect is a 2 way street. My co-worker recommended this nail salon to me, so I stopped by after work to get my nails filled in and fixed (since I broke three even though I had just gotten them done a week prior at another salon). I was assigned to Kelly and I explained how I wanted my nails shaped (since the tech at the other salon didn't really listen to what I wanted) and she proceeded to take her time (which I appreciate!) to make sure that each nail was to my liking. I recently booked my appt with them after being closed due to Covid. They were very good with sterilizing every chair and table before and after each customer. I don't know why there are bad reviews. I personally never had a problem with them. I have been going here for about 3 years now since I have moved to the area. They do get booked up during holidays and warmer months, so I recommend making an appointment in advance. I am half Spanish and half black and I never felt they were racist to me. walked by this place last time I was in town and gave it a try this time. while a little more expensive than some places on Ave U, i think it's worth the money ($26 for a spa mani & pedi). i'm not sure how long this place has been open but i'm glad i found it. they use new tools for every customer, the salon is cute and clean, the pedi chairs look new/ are comfy/ and massage, and they have a good assortment of polishes to choose from (essie, opi, duri, etc) the quality of the mani/pedi are on par with some places i go to in LA but the price is so much more affordable. the 2 things that topped it off for me: they accept credit cards (don't think they accept AmEx though) AND they do paraffin wraps! read more

This was my first visit, but I'm quite sure I'll be coming back. It was a pretty little nail salon, with decorative painting on the ceiling that mimicked clouds. The set up is rather nice. This might be a few dollars more than other places in the nabe, but I think it's worth it. It was very relaxing. I'm still unclear on whether they do designs on nails, though ... methinks not, sadly. i finally found my go to nail salon in brooklyn. im sad i dont remember the name of the girl who did my nails but i remember her as the girl who only spoke canto, since everyone else is viet. but she did a wonderful job with my nails i was very happy with my tips. and i had brenda for my pedi she is amazing! so nice and detailed and really takes time on doing your nails and making sure they are perfect. im so happy i found my nail salon in brooklyn now, and even have go to girls! but fyi, its better to make an appointment, i was lucky to walk in and get them. $26 for a mani/pedi? Yes please! I work in the area and have tried a number of cheap nail salons on Avenue U and in greater Sheepshead... this is by far the best. At other places around here, my nails chipped after a day. At Glamour, I'm getting the same service and quality of a salon in a trendier/pricier neighborhood at half the cost. They use sterile sealed instruments and high end nail polish (nice color selection too!). This is my go-to place now. Tip: Make an appointment!!! They are often at full capacity during peak hours and I see them turn away several walk-ins every time I'm there. read more

I really enjoyed my experience at this salon. First of all they are using the disposable bags for pedicure's tubes. It's make me feel more safe. (As well as their nail files and buffers.) Nail polish application was clean and beautiful! Before I had a lot of appointments in Manhattan with crazy price. And avoided this cheap type of salons. Terrible. I went to get gel acrylic and the technician cut my a little too rough and made me bleed a bit but refused to wipe it down with alcohol until after she filed down the acrylic. She also gave me an attitude when I asked her to wipe it and then completely ignored my request to disinfect MY nail. When painting my nails, she left a huge gap between my cuticle and the acrylic without any paint so now it looks like my acrylics have been growing out for 2 weeks. Poorly done, terrible attitude. This place is getting worse and worse every time I go. This last appointment I was KICKED OUT! Manager Kim was very aggressive with me verbally and I offered to leave if she would calm down to which she replied "you can go then, because it is your fault!" I booked many times with these people and have been going there consistently for months. Unbelievable how they treat regular customers who give them business! I hope nobody receives this type of abuse from anyone, least of all a nail technician who should be calming and MANAGE a customer who asks questions! I give one star because place was nice and clean. But the woman who gave me a pedicure was AWFUL. I paid for 10 minute massage which was so repetitive that it was painful. Watch a YouTube video or something to learn how to massage feet. It's not that difficult. She made me bleed when cutting cuticles and didn't seem to care at all + scrubbed My blister with a scrubber. Over the past month, I stopped by at this salon three times for a mani pedi, and each time a Chinese lady would come out to tell me that they were fully booked and I could come back in 2 hours. Don't get me wrong, I do understand that this place gets busy, however, the last time I tried to get in, ALL but one pedi chair were empty, there were only 2 customers inside, yet the lady had the nerve to tell me that they were fully booked and I could come back later. I don't know what their agenda with me is (on a related note, I've lived in the area for about 4 years and have been regularly getting my nails done here and tipping really well). I feel that the staff tend to discriminate against certain customers. Just out of curiosity, I will try stopping by again since I live very close. I'm thinking if I come around 9.00 am which is about when they open, would they have the nerve to turn me down and tell me that they are fully booked?? I'm dying to find out. read more

That being said, I was willing to spend the extra money on my gel manicure expecting to get my money's worth on a quality job. I selecting from a variety of colors a nice light pink and sparkle shade for the fourth finger. TWO DAYS I started noticed the color fading into an eventually yellow color. pink to yellow..? Why? Regular spot was fully booked so we ventured out to try a new location. I like to get mani and pedis, keep my hands and feet clean and feeling fresh...nothing grosser than some jacked up apendages. Anyway, the place is clean and quiet, the pdicures are not the normal type im used to. They break open a fresh pack of scrubbers and files just for you, they give a salt scrub and mini massage. The massage chairs are infinitely adjustable and pretty comfy. The mani was ok and not any different from anywhere else. Bottom line is, standard services, higher prices...is the pedi scrub worth the extra cost? Your choice. Me, I'll be back, but only once in a while as it wasnt extraordinarily better than what im used to, but nice for the occasional change. read more

My mother and I came to this location because it was closer to home, they had great prices and the atmosphere seemed nice. When it came to our second visit, it was if they preferred to do bad service to not have us come back. The owner or women who sits in the front even told my mom she didn't have to pay if she didn't want too. My mom said no because thats not her and you did supply a service. She rushed my mother and it was sad to hear. We deserve a great service like anyone else. As for me, the tech didn't even seem like she wanted to work. I used to have leave my neighborhood to get my nails done because most of the places in Sheepshead are filthy. This place is nice and clean, comfortable and pretty quiet. I've been going to this nail salon for about 3 years now and I have to say when it comes to doing nails that they are great. On the other hand as far as customer service they lack that 100%. When it comes to making appointments they lie all they time and say that they are booked when they aren't. The girls are pretty friendly and if they aren't then that would have to be due to their manager and salon owner KIM. She is rude and lacks customer service skills. I did not have a pleasant experience at this salon. I have been to this place twice and it did not go well. Even though it is very clean, the gel manicure i got was terrible and unacceptable. I wish yelp had an option for uploading pictures. From the get go i could tell the manicurist is unexperienced, she did not file the nails properly. and when she put on that color, Oh MY.... i gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought she was going to correct it, but no... the color "ran" into the cuticle, she kept whipping it with her nail. and when i spoke up and told her i was not happy, she started raising her voice and telling me as to why i didn't stop her, anyway, i would go else where, Plus the color she used was neither OPI nor Gelish nor Shelac. it was the brand i have never heard of. As a returning customer to this nail salon, I had a very interesting experience today. I called in advanced asking if they had someone available for a mani/pedi in about 15 min.. The response was "yes come". I show up about 20 minutes later and initially not greeted very nicely, ok whatever. I told them I was the one who called and asked when someone will take me. The manager (the skinny short lady) said some stuff but I wasn't sure honestly so I just nodded yes and hoped that she said that someone will see me soon. A few minutes go by and nothing is happening, so I ask again... she turns to me with a nasty face and says "I know you, you are a difficult one!" (in front of other customers while doing someone's nails), I told her that I respect her time and I would appreciate if they respected mine - if I had called and they said come in one hour, I would have done so. She continued to argue with me about nonsense and I told her that ANYONE can do my nails, I was not waiting for a particular person. To say the least, I walked out with no hopes of ever returning. The people in this salon must be working there for fun since it doesn't seem they need the business. I have been nothing but courteous, generous and polite every time I came in, and to be treated like this is applauding - I have had enough. This experience has left me very upset and disgusted. I am sad to say that I did enjoy the services they provided and they did a decent job... Sucks that the service is TERRIBLE for RETURN CUSTOMERS.
