Unfortunately, I am out hundreds of dollars from a pre bought laser hair removal package with GLAMD's sister company, Laser luxe. I started to receive text messages from GLAMD in early July, pushing my laser hair removal appointment with Laser Luxe out for multiple reasons. I rescheduled twice and patiently waited until August only to receive yet another text message from GLAMD notifying me that Laser Luxe was no longer with them. The number GLAMD provided to those who had prepaid packages goes straight to the voicemail of someone named Jessica @ Pin Me Up Chicago who has yet to return my voicemails. GLAMD will not answer the phone, only sometimes a text message, and has basically left their customers high and dry. read more

I went in for a lash lift & tint and I'm not super happy with the results. I felt like the tech was rushing through the process and it shows. I don't think the solution had enough time to work because my lashes don't look fully curled. It's hard to see in the picture, but my right lashes are kind of crooked and still pretty flat on the ends. I know I can't use a lash curler for a while but I still feel like I need to. For the $85 (plus tip) price, it is totally not worth it here. The salon itself is bright, clean, and modern. I'd be hesitant to go for any of their other services. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Like many, I pre-purchased a package of 3 laser hair removal treatments from GLAMD back in January. LaserLuxe was the operator of the laser hair removal treatments and operated out of GLAMD. I was able to use one treatment from the package I purchased, but then in July I received an email from GLAMD saying that they had parted ways with LaserLuxe and could no longer accommodate laser hair removal services. I was told to contact Jessica, the owner of LaserLuxe via phone for a refund. I tried to contact Jessica several times and never received a response. I have been emailing GLAMD since the beginning of August asking to be refunded for the remaining treatments on the pre-purchased package. They have been mostly unresponsive and have not helped to resolve the issue or provide a refund. I have filed a complaint with BBB to try to get my money back, but not sure what else to do. read more

I came in to Glam'd to get my makeup done by Gaby Raguso for my engagement pictures. The beautiful decor, designed by the salon owner, is to die for. There were a few ladies getting eye lash extensions, who mentioned I had to try it (Which is on my list for next time!). Gaby took me into a room where she had her makeup kit readily at hand, and began her magic. My makeup came out so beautiful and I can't wait to go back for my bridal trial. They are claiming that the business have parted ways and that it isn't the fault of GLAMD owners which is a complete lie as the current owner of GLAMD used to give me laser hair removal and was very much an owner in laser luxe yet claiming zero responsibility and I have consulted a lawyer who said that they will easily get away with this because they most likely bankrupted the laser luxe entity, so yes I am using the word SCAM for this woman. My first appointment on GLAMD was on 6/15/18. I wanted to wait a while to really see my result. I had called last minute to see if they could squeeze me in for a Lash Lift, and the receptionist did just that! I saw Michelle for a lash lift and it was great. She manage to get all my lashes, and get them lifted and curled!. My previous lash lift experience was not so great. The technicians always had some sort of excuse as "you have really short lashes" or " I tried the best i could." Yes, I know i have super straight short lashes, but Michelee was able to get them! She was very thorough, and my eyes look so awake! IT has been almost a month, and almost time for my next appointment! Will definitely return again! :) read more

She also instructed me to contact a random makeup company, which I later learned is affiliated with her sister, for a refund on my package. It's now been months of unanswered voicemails and emails, and I've since learned that this woman has scammed dozens and dozens of other customers out of money by not refunding their previously purchased packages. She dragged us all into her dramatic family issues with her sister, Jessica, and it's truly shameful. Glamd saved my lashes! My regular lash lady canceled my appointment so I called glamd and they got me in that day. As soon as they saw my lashes they told me that I had to have them removed. they were applied with way too much adhesive and it was causing damage to my real lashes. Today was my first time at Glamd and I'm so thrilled with my results! I scheduled an appointment but it ended up getting cancelled out of my control, so Mandy at the front worked extra hard to squeeze me into the schedule before the weekend. I saw Hannah for a lash lift and it was awesome. I had a lash lift once before at another salon and it was super stressful...I was left alone for almost 30 minutes, eyes watering, and lashes over-curled. This wasn't the case at Glamd AT ALL. Hannah was awesome! She was on time and I was done in 30 minutes. I mentioned that my eyes were bothering me, so she made some adjustments to make me more comfortable. What can I say! I am always at AWE with the level of professionalism and care that Kaedi at Glamd has. Not only does she do meticulous work, but she does so in a way that makes the client feel special. I have been seeing Kaedi for eyelash extensions for sometime and every time I open my eyes after she is done, they look nothing short but amazing. Recently, I also used Kaedi as my wedding hair stylist. She was able to get all of my girls and mom in and out of her chair in 30 minutes. She worked very efficiently with everyone which was great, especially when your bride nerves are at an all time high. She created these amazing finger waved curls throughout my hair that literally lasted all night. I have to say, some people have it and Kaedi by far is a true person that lives by her craft. For my whole life I have been trying to force my eyebrows to be friends, and I know they are "sisters not twins". I've tried almost everything and just kind of gave up and would lazy pencil them in. I was fortunate enough to get a booking with Kelly for micro-blading and what can I say that hasn't already been said? Kelly was professional, thorough, explained every part of the procedure, and she was so easy to talk to. The micro blading has actually enhanced my features. My eyes now stand out whereas before they were hidden under angry thick arches. Kelly explained the entire aftercare and checked in during all parts of the procedure to make sure I was comfortable. The owner worked with a third party who owned a laser hair machine (her sister) and that partnership dissolved. With no refunds to services paid for BUT NOT used, minimal and awful communication and an overall huge mess for a TON of customers. All of us who have been scammed out of a LOT of money are all in communication with each other, our banks and the BBB. In no way shape or form is it the customers problem when you choose bad partnerships in business. You are the owner, who allowed the partnership and also had that partner to conduct business in your salon - so when things go upside down it is also your responsibility to fix it with more than a shady email, that gives a false phone number. A MUST visit if you're needing anything brow or lash related. I'm not one too do anything around my eyes, but I can see what all the hype is about. I saw Gaby for a Lash Lift, and I'm already addicted after 24-hours. Essentially, it's a lash "perm," but it's super gentle and takes only 30 minutes from start to finish. My lashes were "lifted" back to this perfect, fanned look...no eyelash curler needed. (And NO! My eyelashes didn't burn off or fall out...) This morning, I reached for my eye lash curler when I was getting ready - just as a physical memory of my old morning routine. It took a second to realize that I didn't need to curl my lashes, because they were already perfect. So, dropped the curler and went straight for the mascara. My eyelashes grow in different directions, and I would spend a few minutes trying to get them all curled and fanning out instead of going in my eyeball. So, this is going to be a lifesaver in my eye makeup routine. This is going to be the beginning of a beautiful, eye-opening relationship. Love! read more

After putting in several calls to Jessica, I received the following message: "Hi! Unfortunately my business somehow got brought into an unfortunate situation. This confusion is between GLAMD and Laser Luxe which, to the best of my knowledge, dissolved or shut down for business. The owner of both GLAMD & Laser Luxe, Brittani Sylvester, was trying to pass the blame to an employee of Laser Luxe who also happens to be an employee of my company which is where the sad connection came from. Jessica's name was given out to defer calls from the responsible party. Jessica is not an owner of Laser Luxe nor does she hold affiliation or any responsibility associated with either of those companies anymore. This business phone number was also given out in an email that their customers received. Pin Me Up is an on location bridal hair and makeup agency. We do not have any affiliation with Laser Luxe or GLAMD. If you would like to speak to me regarding the information I have you can reach me directly at the number below. Again I'm very sorry and I'm sure this is very frustrating but I can assure you Pin Me Up has nothing to do with these businesses. This is deeply frustrating on our end as well. Then I received a message saying they could issue a credit for the outstanding $587 laser package to be used on lash tints, lash lifts, microblading, facial waxing and brow lamination. I told them I did not need these services and would just like the refund. The contact at GLAMD has now not responded to any of my recent messages. For those who is looking to get eyelash lifting please make sure your own lashes are long before you get it done. When I asked her for something blue, she picked the flowers from the bouquet in the store and clipped it on my hair - so innovative! Gabby was my make-up artist. She did a fantastic job with me that the makeup was kept for the whole day without any smudges on the eye! GLAMD is amazing! After a bunch of stressful life changes, I decided to start doing more things to pamper myself and wanted to get a lash lift. I liked their website and prices, and it is only a few blocks away so I called for an appointment. They are very responsive on the phone and via email. I love the cute salon and the front desk service is so nice! They took my coat for me and hung up my bag and always ask if you need anything like water or coffee. I had Ashley for my lash lift and love her! She is so friendly and upbeat and we talked about our favorite guilty pleasure show, Vanderpump Rules! My lash lift and tint lasted for a long time and I booked another appointment for a full set of lash extensions. When I came back in they made sure to ask how I liked my lash lift and how long it lasted. For my lash extentions I had Michelle and she was FANTASTIC! Great service and it was like a mini therapy session in the chair, ha! She did a wonderful job and I would highly recommend her and all of the staff at GLAMD.
