I had a root canal…read moreand the endo, Dr. Orozoco was the rudest health provider I have ever encountered in my 50 years of life, and hopefully will never have an experience like this ever again. I've had doctors that didn't want to be there, that were annoyed, and were short, but this was extreme-- it was very obvious she did not in any way shape or form want to be working with me and I was a complete pain in her ass. I was charged 300 for an endo consult which just amounted to her telling me that I had to have a root canal it was unavoidable. The 300 consult was about 5 seconds. Before I knew it she was numbing me and it was really painful. She was super annoyed. She had me bite down on a bite guard and yelled at me when it kept slipping. She finally took it out and said, "okay, forget that. Just keep you mouth open." When I needed to spit because I was going to start coughing, I raised my hand and she was like, "WHAT? I can't hear you. What are you saying? What? What?" followed with a huge annoyed sigh. No kidding you can't understand me with all this shit in my mouth. Occasionally she would hit me, and say, "Are you okay Michelle? Michelle? Michelle? ANSWER." While I was being tortured, I remembered my last root canal over 12 years ago, and how nice and kind the endo was, how he talked to me and was caring. I was literally terrified of this person working on me and I don't think I stopped shaking the entire time. I was TERRIFIED of her-- the assistant she had with her was just as cold and uncaring. Worst experience of my entire life with healthcare providers. And super strange. At one point in time during the root canal she started singing to the music that was playing. I had some hope that maybe she would be in a better mood and nicer to me, but no. The assistant also stopped being nice at some point, and would silently come over and jam an X-ray in my mouth, take the x-ray and take it out of my mouth WITHOUT SAYING A WORD. Absolutely worst experience with a healthcare provider in my life, and I will NEVER go back there. Ever. It was also really choatic and there was no sense of any type of leadership or anyone in charge. It was just people running all around and lined up to use x-rays, rooms, tools, etc. Total disaster. I miss my previous dentist who was so sweet and made small talk to make me comfortable. There were also no sinks in the patient rooms or place to spit, so it makes me wonder seriously where and how they are washing their hands and how clean they are. There should DEFINITELY be a sink in each room for handwashing.

Her space is warm and inviting and Becca is so kind and makes you feel comfortable. I did the Sunna teeth whitening with Becca. It was a lot faster and easier than I anticipated. The entire process was about 30 minutes and painless for me. I had no teeth sensitivity issues during or after the procedure. Before she begins, she looks at your teeth to see what whiteness level you are at and with this system, she can get you at least 2 shade brighter--maybe more depending on how many touch up appointments you do! The process involves a few mouth rinses and whitening formula painted on your teeth. Then, you get to take a nice nap while the laser light shines on your teeth. This best part is that you see results immediately! The aftercare is pretty easy too! She gives you the whitening aftercare gel that you put on your toothpaste each night when you brush. This will help extend the whitening and prevent staining. So easy, right? You just can't drink or eat an hour after your procedure and it is recommended that you stay away from food that are likely to cause stains (red wine, beets, etc...). With two of the technicians, there was a bit of accidentally nicking/pinching my eyelid when they were trying to access my lash line, but aside from that they are very kind. But as far as the lashes go, they leave something to be desired. I've gotten my lashes done at several different places by different lash technicians. I have somewhat sparse Asian eyelashes, so when I get lash extensions, they typically utilize more of my natural lashes to achieve a full lash look. I've noticed that here, they attach fewer lashes to each eye overall (like maybe one every 4 lashes?). And then after a week (even with not getting them wet for 24 hrs, and not being around steam for 48hrs) half of them are gone and the gaps look a little crazy. UPDATE: the owner graciously contacted me to offer a complimentary fill with their top lash technician after my last bad experience. She was incredibly professional and kind and unhappy to hear about my previous visits. I was so pleased with the work Ebonee did on my lashes. It was exactly what I wanted and she talked me through her lash design. I will not be seeing anyone else from here on out and seriously it was the best experience I've had here by far. Super happy with the results.

Had my first appointment with Deka Lash in Chamblee and I was so excited to get my lashes done for the first time. As I said, Bri was super welcoming and answered my questions thoroughly as we went thru the application process. Unfortunately right after I washed my lashes for the first time 24+ hrs after my appt, 2 lashes came off on my right eye. When I reached out to their VA she explained to me that it's normal for eyelashes to shed. But this wasn't my lashes shedding. This was the extension coming off. I sent pics and she escalated it to the manager. The manager was nice and saw the holes in my lashes now and offered me to come in to get them fixed. Unfortunately I work a TON, and couldn't make it in within their 5 day grace period. In the meantime, I lost 2 more lashes, this time from the left side without having touched them or washed them. No natural lashes shed.) Plus, I had set my follow up appointment for just under 2 weeks later (which is a little early for a fill but I was heading out of town) so I asked if instead they could throw me a discount on my following appointment. (Usually companies can allocate a discount on the following service if the initial service wasn't up to par and for whatever reason, the follow up won't work. Which, as much as I like Bri, it wasn't. She even mentioned that she was having trouble w the glue because of the humidity in the room and had to fan it to dry. Could be technique, could be circumstance. Things happen and I understand.) Apparently, they're unable to offer a discount on the following service and they need to stand by the 5 day grace period. Let me be blunt. It is not my fault that the service wasn't executed properly and it isn't my fault that I cannot create free time to come back for a do over. I understand things happen but as understanding as I'm being, the same malleability is not being shown to me. I have sent pictures and they even agree that the outcome isn't up to their standard. The rigidness when it comes to customer service is what will make me go elsewhere. The upside is that I got a promo for my first appointment so I didn't spend the full amount on my first time or I'd be livid. If you HAVE time to go back for corrective appointments, by all means, go for it. But if you run a tight schedule and don't really have a ton of free time, I'd recommend somewhere else.
