This is the owner of Glam 101... I have been in business for 4-5 years and in customer service for 10+ years. I delight in all of my clients. I am more than accommodating to all regardless of finances, scheduling, or situational occurrences that may hinder my clients beauty regimin. I was owner of two salons in two locations and with the competitive industry I am in decided to go one step ahead and offer mobile lashes. My clients rave about having services brought to them in the convienence of their home. When I saw the results of this offering I no longer felt it to be necessary for having two locations. This one particular assessment of how I handled a situation was valid to an extent but taken to a falsified extreme . This potential client text me 10 minutes before the appointment to tell me she will be late. Majority of salons have a late policy 10 min and the appointment would be cancelled and charged or in this case groupon redeemed. Due to the fact that we were both at a spot to collaborate together to make this appointment work... I apologized and explained that the location I had signed a sub-lease at was not up to par with TDLR for the fact that hardwood floors needed to be installed as a regulation from the state and carpet is not allowed. I did not go into detail with the client, but it was my understanding as a sub-lessor that was the responsibility of the property manager. Being that I had already launched the groupon my solution for this matter was to offer mobile service which is an upgraded service to the client. There was a mention of "potential serial killer" in her review. This person actually gave me her address and was in agreement with me coming to her house. She was located approximately 48 miles away from where I was. I asked if she had time available Friday or Saturday and she said no it had to be done that day. I apologized again and I offered her mobile service, free brow and lash tint, and free mascara for the issue at hand. I offered several different times @ 1pm that day and in the evening as well. I offered Friday/Saturday for one she said no she's getting her hair done from 4pm-8pm and another she said no she's getting her carpets cleaned another time she said no she's getting a spray tan. I said ok I will bring my spray tan machine with me and comp another $35 service on top of the $75 I offered her along with the mobile service and groupon she purchased was discounted $145 as well. After all of my options she states she is very upset and I offered her yet another option and had a salon location in Plano that a fellow lash stylist owns and allowed me to offer doing the services there so she would feel comfortable and also it was in Plano which was much closer to her. She again said no and "you better figure this out." Every person in their business ventures or life in general will have a situation that arises and it is not the problem at hand but how we handle it. I feel like I did more than offer generous compensation and took responsibility and dismissed the fact that she was already initially late to the appointment. I politely told her I was very sorry we could not find something to accommodate her at that time and she was free to get her money back from groupon then ended the dialogue with her. I will always put my clients first and over compensate for any unmet standard. As the owner I cannot get 100% all the time but I will always make sure that I have offered every avenue to honor their time and interest in my business. I am again apologetic for the situation and if there was ever a time we crossed paths in the future I would still make an effort to ammend that experience and make it a better one for her and any future business. -Danielle Owner Glam 101 read more

Danielle has been my lash artist for the past 5 years. Not only is she fabulous at her trade she is very mobile making it very convenient for working moms like myself to fit in the appointment to get me looking lashtastic. She travels to me and also to anyone I refer her to. She is prompt and always on time. I used other lash artist before Danielle and the lashes would fall out quicker and itch with whatever glue or product they were using. I had to always drive to them so the mobile part is by far the most convienent for me. Danielle uses only the best as my lashes stay longer and fuller so my fill times are once a month.
