In the email they didn't even give me an estimate for a half/full sleeve so I should've seen the first red flag. I get there and finally meet Jay and I speak to her about my idea and what I want but for the most part give her creative freedom. She leaves and comes back with an idea which I love, did the placement and we start. All is well, no talk about payment yet (I should've brought it up at this point but it was my first big piece and I wasn't sure how to go about it or wanted her to feel disrespected about my budget) An hour or so in I'm suffering (my fault for not preparing) and she notices and gives me brakes but somewhere in between is when she finally asks about money. She asks "what's your budget?" As if it matters now that the stencil and ink is on me now. I tell her naively "6-700" at this point I don't think much of it she just nods her head. Towards the end of the session I needed a minute, we're not even done. I'm walking up to the register and I ask "So how much will it be with how far we got in this session" she looked at me the then the receptionist and just goes "700" I look at her kind of shocked but I'm tired so I don't say anything. As time went by and I got more in the scene and inked more I realized she calculated when to ask me and what to ask me. I was wearing shorts and a t shirt so she knew I wasn't inked up and it was my first time. I felt taken advantage of for being new in the community and not having much knowledge. I have multiple tattoos now and four years later this is the worst experience I've ever had. I finally have the courage to speak up about it.

About two weeks ago, Anna (the owner) reached out to me regarding my experience from 10 months ago. She apologized for how everything was handled and invited me back to give the studio another opportunity to show me the experience they strive to provide. I'm happy to say this visit was completely different. From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming and professional. My manicure was truly complimentary this time, and at no point did I feel like they were simply trying to "fix" a bad review. Instead, I genuinely felt like they wanted to make things right. Victoria was my nail technician, and she was absolutely incredible. She was meticulous, patient, and clearly takes pride in her work. My nails came out absolutely beautiful, and the entire appointment was smooth from start to finish. I still stand by my original review because that was my honest experience at the time, and I don't believe in erasing genuine customer experiences. However, I also believe businesses deserve recognition when they take accountability and make a sincere effort to improve. Thank you, Anna, for reaching out and giving me a reason to come back, and thank you, Victoria, for such an amazing experience. It says a lot when a business follows up and is willing to invest in making things right. I truly appreciate the effort, and I'm leaving this update because I think it's just as important to recognize excellent customer service as it is to share disappointing experiences. Her attention to detail, coupled with her time/efficiency was impressive. She finished my manicure in under 50 min, compared to my original 1.5 hrs. I am happy to report that my manicure has lasted at least 1 week, but we'll see how the next couple of weeks go. This Russian pedicure, however... 10/10. It was my first experience and I think I'm in love. The process looks so simple that you would think it's not getting the job done. That is not the case. The softness and cleanliness of my feet left me stunned. Easily the best pedicure I have ever received. This was over a week ago and my feet are still baby bottom soft. I have always kind of struggled with retention when it came to lash extensions even though I do my due diligence with following care instructions: wash the lashes every day, brush them out, no oil products, etc etc, and would still need to fill my lashes every two weeks or less or else they would look raggedy. I found Tammy on Yelp and have gotten two volume fills with her so far and, oh my god, the retention on her lashes is absolutely insane!! I'm currently two weeks out and my lashes still are SO full. She also really takes her time and makes sure that you leave with full, full lashes! The first time I saw her, I got a foreign fill and my lashes were pretty much depleted after two weeks, and Tammy spent DOUBLE the amount of time filling my lashes and making sure I left with a full set. On top of that, Tammy is an absolute joy to talk to and it's clear that she knows her stuff. I will admit, when I read the part of her description that said "once you try us, this will be the last time you do a search for lash extensions," I was like that's very ambitious, but she 100% stands by that. In the two years or so that I've had lash extensions, she's easily one of the best lash techs that have worked on me if not the best. I am definitely not the type to be tied down to one establishment when it comes to beauty services, but I will definitely be a loyal client to Tammy for as long as I'm in Dallas.
