When I first met Janet I was very scared to trust someone again with my lashes. Other studios in town charged me a ton, and did not give me the results that I expected. What I love about Janet is that she responds fast! She always makes time to squeeze me into her schedule. Also, she takes her time to make sure my eyelashes are nice and thick. Cocoa is a lovely person and I really enjoyed talking to her while getting my lashes done, but as for the work itself, it was definitely not good. As a transplant, I have gotten my lashes done many many times before in NYC, LA, and SF so I've been looking for my new go-to place in Dallas... and this place is not it. Here are my gripes: 1) The room is dark and it is hard to see the true quality of the work until you step outside in broad daylight. 2) The first question a lash tech should ask is about the desired eye shape and lash length. She did not ask any of this. 3) Even though she did not ask about the desired look, she also didn't adhere to a standard look of any kind... it was not any of the following looks: natural, doll eyes, or cat eye. They were all just a bunch of long and heavy lashes glued mostly along the center of my eyelid. 4) The lash technician I went to today said the lashes applied by Cocoa were way too thick and heavy for Asian eyelashes, since we have very sparse and thin hairs. She also said the lashes used were too coarse for my eyes, and hard to remove. Overall, I would say that if you have gotten your lashes done many times before, then I would skip scheduling an appt here as you likely won't be satisfied with the end result.
