I needed to rent a van to move my daughter to her college apartment in Boston from my home in Rhode…read moreIsland and having used the UHaul app before for a rental, decided to do it again this time. Previously, the van was located at the front of the building and the keys in the safe on the side. Using the app was easy, pulling me along every step of the way, and I looked forward to using it again here. When I came by on the 1st, I noticed my van was not out front and drove to the back (this is a large building which also houses storage units). I looked around but didn't see the vehicle and so had to go inside. I went to the front desk and saw Jordan. I explained that I was using the app but didn't see my van, and he informed me that the van was out there in the lot and I needed to go find it. I thanked him and proceeded to go out to the lot to find my van, matching the serial number to the one showing on my screen. I looked inside but didn't see the keys. I drove back to the side of the building to the safe, as this is where the keys were the last time, but there was no code on the next screen. Confused, I drove back to the office and went back to Jordan. I explained that the keys were not in the van despite a search, and that there was no code for the safe. He then reached behind him, grabbed the keys on the wall, and handed them to me. I was annoyed before but seeing this, I felt compelled to say something. I said that he could have told me I had to come back for the keys and that they wouldn't be in the truck or in the safe. He told me that I wasn't there yet, meaning that I wasn't on the next page on my app when I saw him last. I said that's right, but that it would still have been nice to let me know what to expect, just from a customer experience perspective. Jordan maintained that because I wasn't there on the app yet, that telling me about the keys wasn't necessary yet. I was confused as I was just trying to offer helpful customer service advice, but Jordan didn't seem willing to listen to that. Our conversation grew heated, and I told him to stop interrupting me and listen. He agreed, and I relayed the entire scenario, sharing why this was frustrating as a customer, but he still interrupted. I told him he was interrupting me again, and he did stop and let me finish. I finished, and he proceeded to explain that I was arguing with him, and escalating the situation. I told him I wasn't, that I really was only interested in explaining what this felt like as a customer. When he said I was not and that I was only interested in arguing, I realized the issue was with him, and that further discussion was pointless. I asked him for his name, and he said it was Jordan King, adding on that he was a manager. I walked out, got the van (which was great), and returned the van later without issue.

Very affordable and there's a container in the front with free used boxes donated by customers. The employees are always friendly and helpful (unlike the people in Cumberland on Mendon Rd) and the store is very clean and organized. Always a pleasant experience!

I had looked at several other storage facilities in the area when I was selling my house and moving into an apartment and needed to store some of my stuff. 10x Self Storage beat all of the rest that I looked at. The manager that I first met with was excellent and and explained the whole process to me who hadn't rented a unit previously. The facility is easily accessible and conveniently situated with lots of parking. It is climate controlled and the inside access is great as opposed to other facilities which only had access from the outdoors and were not climate controlled. The building is kept very clean which I appreciated.

Previously, I was at a competitor. I had a small 5x10 unit, outdoor access, not climate controlled, and part-time attendant. I went there because it was close, and they had a "first month free" offer. I never actually got that free month, and they raised my rates twice in a six month period by a large amount. At first, it was $85/month, then two months in it was raised to $133/mo; then I got a notice in November that it would be raised to $180/mo right before Christmas. I decided it was time to move out and find some place better. I got a unit at 10x Self Storage on Pullman Street. The unit was 10x10 (actually a little bigger), indoor, and climate controlled. At $175/mo, it was a tad cheaper than my previous unit with way more benefits. They offered 50% off for the first three months, and actually stuck by the offer (unlike the previous place that never gave me the promised free month). I used the 10x10 for a year, then downsized to a smaller 5x5 unit at $59/mo before moving out (I no longer needed extra storage). I really appreciate a company that doesn't bait-and-switch, and that doesn't get you into a unit only to jack your rates up. I found 10x to be an honest business, top quality, and a pleasure to do business with. I recommend them, and would also use their facilities again.

I've been a tenant here since March 2025. They lured me in with two months free--but heads up,…read moreyou'll need insurance, either through your own policy or theirs. Since moving in, the experience has been rocky. The lift has gone out of order four times already, and one afternoon the main gate broke around 4:30 PM. The property manager was nowhere to be found, and when I called customer service, their advice was basically "try to lift the gate yourself--nothing we can do." Not exactly reassuring. Then came the price hikes. After paying just one actual month (since March and April were "free"), I received notice that my unit was jumping from $123 to $173 ($187 after tax). When I called, I was told it's in the lease: the price can change anytime, and it will never go back down. Classic bait-and-switch. To be fair, the district manager, Christopher Delgado, did reach out after my first review. He explained it was an "automatic increase" and adjusted my rent back to the original price, assuring me it wouldn't rise again "for some time." That "some time" turned out to be four months. By October 2025, my rent is going up another $50/month--an extra $600 per year, if it doesn't climb higher. So in just seven months of renting here, I've dealt with unreliable facilities, poor customer service, and constant rent hikes. In this economy, it feels exploitative. Take this as a heads-up: this is not a storage company I'd recommend to friends, family, or anyone trying to budget responsibly.

it's a storage place and is easy enough to use. however if your a day late (my fault admittedly)…read moreeven if you pay late normally (comes with an additional fee so I assure you they don't mind) you will get an email, a call, and a text every day. including if your in the hospital and trying to contact your primary care doctor they will repeatedly call you interrupting the call then give you an attitude claiming your the one with the problem. Sounds specific I know but the people working there are atrocious so luckily it's easy enough to avoid them but they don't keep to their hours so good luck if you need to speak in person. I would also expect to have your property covered in mouse droppings. There was also over a year period where the outer gate to the main road remained open 24/7 because it was broken and the were "waiting for parts". Only benefit of this place is ease of rental and use everything else including price and customer service is bad.
