They were always friendly and courteous and I knew I could rely on either one of them to answer any questions I had right away. The facility is clean, modern, extremely secure and all of the inside units I had were climate controlled which was very important to me since I was storing 40 thousand rare LPs and expensive Mid Century modern furniture (Eames/Knoll/Milo Baughman/Platner/Saarinen etc..). I looked around at other facilities and knew right away that this was where I wanted to store all of my belongings while selling a house in Portland and planning a move to California. Honestly the staff here really is the cherry on top and they work very hard to make everything run smoothly and efficiently including Uhaul rentals! If anyone from Corporate is seeing this, be sure to do what you need to do to keep them on board! Having peace of mind and being treated like family is priceless! Thanks Melinda and Xander!!!!! I would strongly recommend avoiding renting a storage unit from this business unless it's for a…read morevery short term (1-2 months) and part of a promotional deal. Their pricing practices are concerning, as they significantly increase rates after any promotional period or originally agreed-upon rate ends. As someone who has rented several storage units across the country during military service, college, and job relocations, I've encountered both good and bad experiences. While this facility is new, clean, and staffed with friendly front-desk employees, the general management appears focused on maximizing profits at the expense of long-term customers. They frequently advertise low promotional rates online to attract new customers but raise prices steeply for existing tenants. My wife and I rented a 5x10 unit three years ago on a promotional deal for around $69 per month. After the promotion ended, our rate increased to $89. Over time, we received emails notifying us of further rate hikes: first to $139, then to $179. Meanwhile, as of January 2, 2025, the same "Premium" 5x10 units were advertised on their website for a regular rate of $83, with a promotional offer of two months at half price. This means we were paying more than double the advertised regular rate for the same type of unit. We reached out to management, pointing out that as loyal customers of three years, we were paying far more than even the regular advertised rate. Despite this, their response was to offer a $30 discount--still substantially higher than the listed rate for new customers. While the facility itself is well-maintained and convenient, these pricing practices make it difficult to recommend this business for long-term storage needs.

I have been a repeat customer at this facility for over 10 years, with multiple rentals over that…read moretime, and until this most recent experience I would have given it a strong 5-star rating. Historically, the staff here were professional, courteous, and genuinely customer-focused, which is why I returned again to store my new RV. Unfortunately, this latest transaction was very different. While I understand and accept new policies around proof of insurance and ownership, the issue was not the requirements themselves--it was how they were communicated. A phone conversation with the current facility manager escalated unnecessarily and became confrontational and dismissive. I was repeatedly interrupted, spoken to aggressively, and made to feel as though my integrity and long-standing relationship with the facility were being questioned. That interaction was so inconsistent with my prior experiences here that it was genuinely disappointing. Customer service is as much about listening and tone as it is about enforcing policy, and that piece was clearly missing. I am sharing this feedback in the hope that ownership and leadership will take it seriously. This facility has historically been excellent, and with the right focus on professionalism and customer respect, it could be again. Update (January 2026): Following this review, I was contacted by the regional manager, and I later received a personal letter of apology from the President of West Coast Self-Storage, the company that owns this facility. He acknowledged the issues I raised, confirmed that their computer system had changed (which explained the missing rental history), and assured me that corrective steps are being taken to improve both recordkeeping and customer communication going forward. I appreciate that leadership took the time to listen and respond. While I ultimately moved to another storage facility that better fits my needs, I respect the way West Coast Self-Storage handled this at the corporate level and hope this location returns to the high standards it once reflected.
