Couldn't have been more disappointed. Last time we ate out was in May. I was really looking forward tonight to a belated birthday celebration. The rice/soup was ice cold. The young man manning the grill was too busy talking with a dark haired employee to pay attention to the food he was cooking. Everything came out tasting burnt and without any real flavor or spice. Just slowly pushed it around. It was almost $14 for a single serving lunch, and it was tough, dry, and just plain terrible. I'm really hopeful that this place survives. As a long time visitor of the previous ownership (15+ yeasts) I was happy to see that this location would remain a mongolian BBQ for when that inevitable hankering comes on. We got to the spot shortly after opening on a Saturday. The restaurant was clean and two younger gentleman greeted us and provided great customer service. The first thing we saw was their whiteboard that shows the location of all of their produce that day. I think this is an awesome feature and they were honest that not everything was local. I'm removing one star for a pretty significant reason. The bowls need to be like 30-50% bigger. With the meat being frozen solid it takes up WAY too much space to fit veggies and then noodles. I ended up with a feat of architecture nearly 6 inches above the bowl that required some fine balance to get it the chef. This is only a bummer at lunch, honestly. Service was efficient and appetizers/sides we're waiting at our table when we arrived with our freshly cooked bowls. Two improvement points: 1. Ordered hot tea not knowing there was a charge for it. $3/tea seems steep for hot water and a tea bag. 2. We did not see a posted price for the bowls. Came here because we were craving mongo for a while. Saw the reviews and wanted to give it a shot. Staff was constantly cleaning and making sure the ingredients were stocked, vegetables looked and tasted fresh, and their cream cheese wontons were . Will def be coming back. Just need to learn how to make a solid sauce. Also liked that they asked if you wanted to add garlic powder while cooking. Game changer. read more

Mediocre at best. Mongolian bbq takes a few visits the to get the flavors right because each place makes their sauces differently. Even so, you can tell if a place is good or not by just checking out the options available and the overall cleanliness of the service area. This place is wanting in both. And what's up with the small bowls? The bowls used to load up on meat, veg and noodles are too small. There no way to pile up enough to make a decent sized serving. Sure...you can make as many trips as you like during dinner, but even so, they're too small. Not sure if I'll be returning...maybe if their overall ratings improve, but unfortunately I don't think this will happen any time soon. I wouldn't recommend this place. I went here for the first time and I would not return. The place was clean, but the some of the vegetables were all brown and I had a pineapple that had gone bad. I want to like this place but a few things need improvement. First, the meats are served in this huge plastic bag instead of placing it on the tray. The sauce are very very watered down you literally have to scoop deep to get some thick curry otherwise it's just water on top. Every sauce waa heavily diluted. The cook only cooks one plate at a time which makes the wait longer especially when you're getting seconds and have to wait longer. Normally a cook for this kind of cuisine should be able to handle more than one serving in its huge round iron cook plate so the line will go fast and more people served. I agree that the server/owner was rude and lacking customer service skills. It's a great concept though and if these small improvements can be made I am sure they will have better reviews. read more

PLEASE CONSIDER BEFORE COMING HERE!!! My boyfriend and I are regulars here atleast twice a week. We've always loved Mongolian restaurants , so when our usual place closed down due to covid, we thought we would give this place a try. It was a close second compared to the last and have been there ever since. Everything was fine with the occasional mishaps like losing our food, wrong orders, and sometimes under cooked noodles. However this one took the cake. The bowls they use for dine ins are noticeably smaller then the to-go bowls they have. But no matter what, after the food is cooked the orders always come in the big bowls for takeout. The ones they give you if your dining in are half the size. Every time we've been inside, other customers have always had two small bowls per person, one for noodles and the other for toppings. We were under the impression this was the norm. And if your dining in and don't finish, you would get the to-go boxes. Simple and easy. Tonight we were there, dine in as usual. We go through the whole pattern like everyone then sit down to eat just like usual. However this time we asked to get a to-go box and they deny us. The manger specifically told our waitress to not give us them. We started getting a little upset but we stayed calm and my boyfriend went to speak to the manager (that was there and new to our understanding ) and simply asked why this was the case. Apparently it's a new thing he told him and that the only reason was "because that's the rules." We completely understood that until we remembered we were there about 3-4 days ago before hand and met the regional manger. He was incredibly awesome and personal. He made no mistakes when our order had been put together. When it was time to leave he was the one who personally gave us to go boxes. So we mentioned that but this new manager insisted "those are the rules; we're trying to get everyone on the same page". To top it all off, He also told my boyfriend that "if we knew we weren't going to finish it, we should have gotten smaller portions." WHAT IS THAT ABOUT!! That is incredibly unprofessional, rude and upright disrespectful. So I found a jack in the box across the parking lot and had my boyfriend get bags from them and proceeded to pack up OUR food THAT WE PAID FOR (keep in mind they charged us for this "extra" amount) home. What is usually around $25 was now $34 for some reason in these "new rules". Once we had finished and began to leave, the waitress began to follow us out, most likely to take OUR food back to most likely throw it away. I don't know what had happened in the short time we've attended but it has surely gone down hill fast. That will sadly be our last time there due to this terrible experience. We decided to try this spot for the first time as we typically go to another Mongolian in town and were SO disappointed. We headed for an early dinner and were the only ones dining in. There were plenty of staff in the kitchen area but it took us asking if we seat ourselves first or serve ours selves right away to even be acknowledged. The blonde female server assisted us answered our question and then took our drink order. The countertops where the food is displayed were dirty and not wiped down. As you could tell that no one cared to clean and prep for dinner. As the selections from meat to veggies were VERY low, in addition to the veggies being dry and appeared to have been there for quite some time. When it came time for grilling, we placed our items at the end (as what we do at previous mongo spots) and I assumed we would be greeted by staff but we weren't. When we sat down at a table , our food was brought to us by our server. My youngest child tried her meal and immediately said it was spicy and I clearly saw chili flakes on the tofu and noodles. I waived down the server and asked if the grill was cleaned and she explained they don't. After explaining to her that hers was spicy and was the first one to be cooked, she suggested us to make a new one and she requested the staff on the grill to clean it. One positive from this experience was our server but unfortunately her shift was over shortly Upon our arrival. Our soup was Luke warm as well as the rice served was room temperature. I also watched a few other people come in for to go orders as well as one staff not using tongs to fill an order in a bowl, Although the glove was on, it still didn't seem to be proper. All this time dining, no staff cared to refill the stations, clean the counters with spilled sauces or food. I was quite surprised since there were plenty of staff on hand and not busy at all! First time trying this place. Our usual place was closed. The staff was nice and courteous, but they did not wear gloves while cleaning around food area or while restocking vegetables. The price on the menu for a togo dinner plate was different than what was quoted to us. Once we opened up our box at home, mine was a bit salty, I don't know what sauce I added that caused it, but it also tasted a bit burnt. Not happy. :( read more
