Roofers provided a great roof over our heads!…read more Mike's team is the greatest of all the contractors I have interviewed so far. He's honest and responsive, came for a quote quickly and followed up as promised. He went above and beyond to come really far up to do the job, even working in the pouring rain trying to make good progress. (they did cover everything so nothing was exposed). They also accommodated for the colored tile I wanted, went up to Everett to pick up the correct tiles (distributor didn't send in the correct tiles) and hauled them to me. These are the best roofer, the best contractors I've encountered. They use one of the best quality tiles and manufactures in the industry, registered for the warranty on time for us, and their price is fair. Weatherpro is the roofer you want to do the job, period.

We are extremely pleased with the new roof that Mike and his crew installed on our house. There are…read moreno painless renovation projects, but Mike went above and beyond with customer service--helping us understand every step of the way. Before the job: He was extremely prompt in coming out to provide an estimate. He spent time talking with us about the value of the products that he uses, and informed us about a 50-yr warranty that we could get. He told us that other companies might be slightly cheaper, but they won't offer the same warranty or quality of products. With the few other contractors who came out for an estimate, he was exactly right. They offered a lower quality product and very little cost savings. Not Mike. He's proud of the materials he works with, and he'll tell you why they are the best. The project: The work started on-time and was complete within the timeframe we were expecting. The crew was relatively neat and tidy. After the first two days of work, my wife and I had some questions about a few of the aesthetic details. Mike took our call and spent a lot of time with us, trying to figure out how to make sure that we were happy once the project was complete. He wrote and incredibly thorough recap email that provided suggestions for how to address our questions. The result: We are very happy with the end result of the renovation. The new roof looks fantastic and works much more efficiently to vent and protect the tiles. Mike provided an itemized list of other projects we should consider doing, but he was entirely no-pressure with us when we only decided to do a few (not all) of them through Hawks. I never felt like he was up-selling us. Just looking out for our house. Sidenote: I believe Mike said he used to do home inspections. It's clear from my experience with him that he knows a lot about how to keep a home protected from the elements--functioning properly. I felt that I could always depend on him to give me honest advice for the best way to update and protect our home. Summary: I'd recommend Hawks for anyone who needs work done on their roof. As I said before, no renovation is painless, but Mike and his team made sure to do the best quality work, with the best materials at a price that was within our budget.

We had an outstanding experience with Carl at Better Call Carl! From start to finish, his…read morecommunication was excellent. He set up an appointment to meet with us right away and sent over a very professional, detailed quote the same day. He got us on his schedule quickly and completed the job to absolute perfection. Five years ago we had carpet installed and were left with an annoying gap between the carpet and the baseboard. It drove me crazy! Carl not only handled the installation beautifully, but he also made sure the new padding was thick enough to eliminate that gap entirely. A problem that bothered me for five years - gone in one day thanks to Carl. Fast, professional, detail-oriented, and genuinely thoughtful. We couldn't recommend him more!

We will not be working with Better Call Carl again. Last November, we hired him to perform a…read more"bathroom refresh". Hooked us in with a great price and great initial communication. On the first day on the renovation, we went through all the details of changes we wanted to make with his team. Somehow, these details never came to fruition. They did a great job with the drywall, painting, and tub installation - however, their tile work in the shower is subpar (the tiles were placed crooked and we had to go in to regrout ourselves). We previously had plumbing work done, so the cabinetry underneath the vanity had to be replaced. Better Call Carl figured the best way to do this was to just patchwork plywood (we went back ourselves to fix). He also didn't see the need for continuous baseboards (see photo). The biggest problem we have is with the floors - we also had terrazzo floor tiles placed and confirmed with the team prior to starting that there were enough tiles to complete the project. The floor is not up to industry standard nor ADA requirements. The grout lines are all different sizes and the actual tiles are not level, resulting in a trip hazard. There are also tiles that have been chipped both during and after installation. We reached out to Better Call Carl after work was complete to see if he could replace the floor - he was reluctant to come back, but he did end up replacing two tiles (out of 21). Even after the second round, the floor is a little more level, but nowhere near the standard or expectation. There are still chipped tiles, uneven grout lines, and tiles that are not level. We will be buying new tiles and having the floor redone, so we asked for a partial refund (for just the work on the floor), which was denied. We then tried to see if there was any other resolution we could agree on since Better Call Carl claims he has a one-year warranty. He refused to uphold his warranty. We'll be going with another professional from here on and would not recommend Better Call Carl to anyone.

Sunnyside Construction went above and beyond our expectations. We have had Sunnyside come back to work on our house every 3 years as we work through our home-improvement wish list. Having found a great contractor in Sunnyside, we are going to be loyal to them for as long as we are homeowners. They show up on time and got the work done according to schedule. The final bill was right in line with their estimate. We were kept advised of any issues when they came up. They clearly explained the issues and what our options were...we never felt like we were being upsold on more work. The quality of their work is very impressive. We have had them redo our flooring, completely redo our bathroom (expanded size of bathroom, moved bathroom door, tile flooring, converted a tub into a walk in shower, etc), remodel our living room (removal of a wall), replace windows, level our crawlspace, install a French drain, landscape our back yard, build a pergola, etc. All of these projects came out better than our expectations. Top notch!.

Even though there were a myriad of additional "small" details that took care of. His team was on time, worked hard, and could not be more professional. I have to say, they were BY FAR the tidiest construction crew we have ever seen. Throughout the renovation project, they kept the house as clean as possible. David has a knack for detail. During our walkthrough before construstion, he was able to visualize what would work down to the inch. I was concerned we wouldn't have enough room to place the fridge where we wanted it. Not to worry- his experience came through and everything was spot on. Their team does not let small issues go unresolved. Even when it wasn't assigned to him. He found rusty pipes while working on the electric. He brought it to our attention and took care of it without question. I can only imagine how big the repair bill would eventually be if he did catch it. I've attached the before (grey floor) and after (blond floor) to show off his team's talent. His team: 1. Knocked out a load-bearing wall and added beam to open up the living room into the kitchen/dining. 2. Redid the floors. 3. Redid the bathroom (expanded bathroom by incorporating closet from second bedroom, created walk-in shower, added dual vanity, tiled floors) 4. Replaced windows in master bed and bathroom 5. Lots of rewiring and adding outlets 6. Painted entire house, including garage 7. Uncounted "minor" details that improved the lifetime value of the home Could not be happier. Seriously - these guys are top notch professionals
