I absolutely DO NOT recommend this company. Issues began with realizing how much corners are cut with their work. From not vacuuming before putting flooring down (even after asking them multiple times to do so), to debris in our heater vents multiple times without being cleaned out, the work in itself was unprofessional. After calling the workers out on it, handling the rest of the project was a disaster. Imagine paying someone thousands of dollars, just to end up having to micromanage THEIR work that they're getting paid for just to make sure things get done right. Throughout the project, we constantly had to describe what we wanted and how we wanted things to be (stuff that was already discussed at the very start). Multiple times, the language barrier was so bad that there was no way to clearly explain what was wanted. My wife was home for the whole project, and to hear that they would make derogatory comments about her in our own home while she is there in front of them is beyond infuriating. They would say these remarks in Spanish, expecting that my wife did not understand them. But she did. So if you like to have someone talk crap about you in your own home, by all means go for it. I'll refrain from providing those terms and keep this review PG. If we weren't so close to finishing the project and paying so much money already, we would've kicked them out of our house right then and there. But we miraculously finished. Found out our microwave was installed wrong. Bought a new fridge and was told dimensions to buy, only to have it BARELY fit (then being blamed about buying too big of a fridge). If you want things done right in the first place, look elsewhere. They harped about how things could be retouched, but if the work was done right in the first place, then retouching wouldn't need to occur. The amount of touchups could not hide the dings and dents all around our cabinets, all from their sloppy and careless work. And when you do bring something up to get retouched, the workers would complain and make excuses for how it's supposed to be like that. Again, I DO NOT recommend In-N-Out.

I called Tony, and he assured me that he would personally resolve the issue; well, it's been over a year, and he has yet to return any of my numerous calls. I'm beginning to worry, and I have considered filing a missing person report ;-). Tony does great work, as evidenced by the positive reviews; however, he seems to be overwhelmed with projects, and he has hired people that seemingly aren't concerned with doing quality work. Tony seems like a nice guy, and I always try to support small businesses, but, my experience with him has been frustrating, and a waste of time and money :(.

I got a quote, confirmed the quote was for two shower doors and then scheduled an appointment with them. On the day of the appointment, they were suppose to meet in the morning. I didn't hear from them and then started following up via text to see when the ETA was. The ETA kept getting pushed back further and further until late afternoon (4/5pm). I literally waited at home all day to get these shower doors installed. I didn't leave the house as I didn't want to miss them. Upon their arrival I come to find that they quoted for only one door. I had mentioned (very nicely) that I had sent direct links to two shower doors and even had it labeled as Shower Door 1 .... Shower Door 2 and confirmed numerous times install was for 2 doors for 2 showers. In the end they ended up not doing the job because they wanted to double the cost on me. This was extremely frustrating, unprofessional, and an absolute waste of time for me and them to come out to my job site.

Well Eddie had excellent customer service skills and communication with him was stellar! I needed to fix the floor in our bathroom because the people who sold it to us had hid rot that existed in the bathroom floor and was covered up. I was going to replace the sub-flooring and retile the bathroom myself till I found that little gem. I felt it could possibly be hiding more than I felt capable of handling. So I had reached out to Eddie and he gave us a real decent quote that worked with our budget. Not only that but he and his team were able to use the tiles I had already purchased; they were very flexible and I appreciated that so much. When the job was done the bathroom looked AMAZING!! I was giddy. Even our plumber was in awe because of the quality of the tile and floor work! Now we have a bathroom that is bold and functional. Thank goodness for Rainier Renovations NW!

He set up an appointment to meet with us right away and sent over a very professional, detailed quote the same day. He got us on his schedule quickly and completed the job to absolute perfection. Five years ago we had carpet installed and were left with an annoying gap between the carpet and the baseboard. It drove me crazy! Carl not only handled the installation beautifully, but he also made sure the new padding was thick enough to eliminate that gap entirely. A problem that bothered me for five years - gone in one day thanks to Carl. Fast, professional, detail-oriented, and genuinely thoughtful. We couldn't recommend him more!

We will not be working with Better Call Carl again. Last November, we hired him to perform a…read more"bathroom refresh". Hooked us in with a great price and great initial communication. On the first day on the renovation, we went through all the details of changes we wanted to make with his team. Somehow, these details never came to fruition. They did a great job with the drywall, painting, and tub installation - however, their tile work in the shower is subpar (the tiles were placed crooked and we had to go in to regrout ourselves). We previously had plumbing work done, so the cabinetry underneath the vanity had to be replaced. Better Call Carl figured the best way to do this was to just patchwork plywood (we went back ourselves to fix). He also didn't see the need for continuous baseboards (see photo). The biggest problem we have is with the floors - we also had terrazzo floor tiles placed and confirmed with the team prior to starting that there were enough tiles to complete the project. The floor is not up to industry standard nor ADA requirements. The grout lines are all different sizes and the actual tiles are not level, resulting in a trip hazard. There are also tiles that have been chipped both during and after installation. We reached out to Better Call Carl after work was complete to see if he could replace the floor - he was reluctant to come back, but he did end up replacing two tiles (out of 21). Even after the second round, the floor is a little more level, but nowhere near the standard or expectation. There are still chipped tiles, uneven grout lines, and tiles that are not level. We will be buying new tiles and having the floor redone, so we asked for a partial refund (for just the work on the floor), which was denied. We then tried to see if there was any other resolution we could agree on since Better Call Carl claims he has a one-year warranty. He refused to uphold his warranty. We'll be going with another professional from here on and would not recommend Better Call Carl to anyone.

We are extremely pleased with the new roof that Mike and his crew installed on our house. There are…read moreno painless renovation projects, but Mike went above and beyond with customer service--helping us understand every step of the way. Before the job: He was extremely prompt in coming out to provide an estimate. He spent time talking with us about the value of the products that he uses, and informed us about a 50-yr warranty that we could get. He told us that other companies might be slightly cheaper, but they won't offer the same warranty or quality of products. With the few other contractors who came out for an estimate, he was exactly right. They offered a lower quality product and very little cost savings. Not Mike. He's proud of the materials he works with, and he'll tell you why they are the best. The project: The work started on-time and was complete within the timeframe we were expecting. The crew was relatively neat and tidy. After the first two days of work, my wife and I had some questions about a few of the aesthetic details. Mike took our call and spent a lot of time with us, trying to figure out how to make sure that we were happy once the project was complete. He wrote and incredibly thorough recap email that provided suggestions for how to address our questions. The result: We are very happy with the end result of the renovation. The new roof looks fantastic and works much more efficiently to vent and protect the tiles. Mike provided an itemized list of other projects we should consider doing, but he was entirely no-pressure with us when we only decided to do a few (not all) of them through Hawks. I never felt like he was up-selling us. Just looking out for our house. Sidenote: I believe Mike said he used to do home inspections. It's clear from my experience with him that he knows a lot about how to keep a home protected from the elements--functioning properly. I felt that I could always depend on him to give me honest advice for the best way to update and protect our home. Summary: I'd recommend Hawks for anyone who needs work done on their roof. As I said before, no renovation is painless, but Mike and his team made sure to do the best quality work, with the best materials at a price that was within our budget.
