Brian was contracted to repair an exterior leak from the roof of my 1964, 2000 sq. ft. Rambler in two separate locations. After a very shoddy attempt at repairing the N side of my roof, (which still leaks) Brian and his crew instead of cutting the fascia board (covering the integrated gutters) at the appropriate angle so that the corner of the west side of the fascia board comes into contact evenly with the north side fascia, they made a straight cut leaving a 2 1/2 " gap between the boards, (Unprofessional). I will send pictures of his work to anyone who requests them. When I shared my disappointment in Brian's work, he promised to come over the next day, stating that "you have my word, I'll be there tomorrow". It's been 11 days and no Brian or any other member of B&M Construction, (Unreliable/Untrustworthy). I made the mistake of paying Brian half of the money to begin the project, due to the fact that I had to leave town for seven days to tend to a family emergency, and I wanted to get the work done before the rain set in. I left strict instructions with my cousin on what needed to be done and what was agreed upon. Brian ran off with my down payment after what any reasonable person would deem was a subpar attempt to repair the leak on the N. side (which, as I stated earlier still leaks) and no work done on the S. side of the roof. Money doesn't grow on trees, and neither does Honesty, Integrity, Dependability or Professionalism. Brian has not finished the job or refunded my down payment. I will explore avenues to get the job done right and/or get my money back, but just to give you one last bit of insight into Mr. Treece's mentality and lack of foresight and attention to protecting and growing his business. Mr. Treece upon the initial inspection for the estimate, noted that my repair was a stopgap roof repair (which I was totally aware of) and that I would need to replace the roof within the next 3 to 4 years, costing well over $10,000. Brian Treece, failed to take care of B&M Construction and lacked the business sense to act in his own best interest in trying to secure bigger, more lucrative deals for himself and his company, so how can you expect that he would act in YOUR best interest. I didn't ask for anything more than he promised. In the end, he just needed to do what he said he was going to do, (Undependable). This is not meant to be a personal attack based purely on emotion. I wanted to point out the shortcomings that I observed. Shortcomings that have lead to subpar, unprofessional work and poor work ethic, ultimately resulting in horrendous customer service and zero customer satisfaction. Good Luck All, save yourself the aggravation and the headache. Look Somewhere Else!!! You'll be happy you did. I individually interpreted his responses at several points in our phone conversation to be confirming to me that he was, in fact, a structural engineer. I did not go ahead with the appointment, because he grew evasive when I requested to be able to confirm his licensing status in advance of our meeting (he had agreed to bring his licensing info to the meeting). I finally looked online myself, and to the best of my ability to judge, his engineer license appears to have expired in August, 2002. Please also note that the license for the contracting company listed on this Yelp page appears to also have expired in 2021. (In our phone conversation, he indicated having come out of retirement, and that he was part of a new company. However, I did not receive enough information to independently verify that.)

Christopher gave me a quote the day I called, was no pressure, followed up quickly and quoted me at least $10,000 under my other quotes. And I paid what he quoted. Christopher did everything right, replaced the bad boards, wrapped the house, put on lap Hardi-plank and painted. The paint job was so good. He painted my gutters and eaves. He costumed my trim just the way I wanted it. The workers were friendly and did a great job. I could not be happier with this work.

I had a leak on flat roof near a drain pipe, where the drain was set too high. Greg waited a while…read moreto respond to my phone calls before calling me back. I had interviewed a few different roof contractors who were were all busy with other jobs, so I gave him the job even though his quote was the highest of all because I wanted it fixed before the next rain. He fixed my roof when he said he did, but ended up only using a very small amount of material- 1/2 sheet of plywood ($20) , maybe two rolls of roll roofing ($90 at most) and some UV reflective paint ($50 worth). It was effectively a leak and a paint job. But I noticed he did not fix the original problem causing the leak, being that the drain was set too high and caused water to pool beneath it. He didn't even start to address the moldy chipboard inside the garage to which he said he'll "do his best". After a week of waiting for the bill which he said he'd dropped off in my mailbox, I got a bizzarely rude, hostile early morning text and phone call. When I called back saying I had been expecting his bill and this was the first time he's contacted me, he gave an excuse about his phone. Even when I told him it was hostile, he did not apologize. He then instead gave me a discount on the original quoted price of $600 down to $600. Not a typo, there is no difference between those numbers. That is twice my highest estimate from other companies. In the same call I mentioned to him that the original problem, that the roof drain was still placed too high and water would pool beneath it, he said there's nothing he could do about it, and that the roof could withstand some pooling water anyway. Well that's what I hired him for. He said it would take carpentry skills, which he has but does not want to use. He would have to shave maybe an 1" high gradient off the cusp of the drain. So even though he guarantees his work, he didn't do much work to guarantee. Maybe he thought he could price gauge me since I'm the manager of a big house, but truth it's a duplex and I'm a student with a part-time to make ends meet. Fixing this leak in the roof cost me more than my recent wisdom teeth surgery.
