When it comes to choosing eyewear, I am willing to pay more money for an out of insurance network provider--just as I am am with a modern dentist who has state of the art facilities. If you value fashion and prescription lenses, as I do, then look no further than I Designs....very often one has to choose between their optometrist (prescription lenses but no sense of style or fashion) OR their optician (style but sacrificing one's prescription accuracy by using their "in house" lab)....you get both here at I Designs. I had put off purchasing a new pair of everyday glasses for a couple of years but decided now was the time to finally do so. I was drawn to I Designs since they are an authorized dealer for Lindberg frames. They special ordered a pair they do not normally stock in a couple of different sizes to see which one fit my face best. We also matched the frames with lenses from Hoya, which is arguably the best lense manufacturer in the world though you pay a premium for their lenses as well. Within 10 days I had my new glasses and am extremely happy.....contrast that with the "service" I received at another, less expensive, and in network provider (the optician kept on calling me "dear" during the eye exam and when I did not proceed with a purchase of new frames afterwards on the spot I got a "whatever" out of her). Bottom line, when it comes to my teeth and eyes I will pay more for high quality and that is exactly what you will get at this boutique shop. They are not the least expensive shop out there, just the best.

For those that suffer from the affliction of dry eyes, you know that over the counter drops are merely a temporary solution, because an hour or two later the feeling of dry, scratchy, sand filled eyes comes roaring back with a vengeance! If you wake up in the middle of the night with eyes so dry, they feel like stale raisins, you need to make an appointment with Dr Cepero immediately. Dr Cepero has the patience of a saint. He won't dismiss your symptoms as exaggeration or a figment of your imagination, or just tell you to use warm compresses. Instead, he will listen carefully in order to figure out the right protocol for you to get results. By the way, they say you can judge a man by the way he treats his parents. Upon arriving, you see the clear indications of mandatory face masks and you're automatically greeted by Marbelly. She is so polite! I was seen rather quickly, considering the amount of staff is being limited to one receptionist and one optometrist. For my first visit, I was seen by Linnett Molina and the second by Tharanie Amarawardana. Both very professional and thorough. If you make an appointment in advance, chances are you will be seen at that specific time which is always appreciated by patients. The neighborhood isn't the best but the office is impeccable.
