After suffering from a concussion (due to falling in an icy parking lot), I was afraid that my…read morevision had been affected. My husband recommended Dr.Savitt and I am so glad he did! They gave me a thorough examination and Dr. Savitt took the time to explain very well the reasons for some of my symptoms. I did not feel rushed or made to feel that my concerns were not important. He even took the time to re-check the vision tests to make sure. Gina helped me find glasses and another tech came over to help me make a decision on which classes looked best! Why do I always go to pick out glasses by myself? So they really helped me decide. Gina also was very thorough- making sure of the fit of the lens on my eyes. I just think she was very professional, and again, she did not rush me and was very nice to work with! I can't wait for my glasses to come in! I highly recommend Dr. Savitt - he made me feel like his diagnosis was on point and and I trust his expertise.

The building felt upscale but friendly, modern but classic. When it came time to choose frames, I found a good variety in terms of style, price, and features. It was nice to have plenty of options. My new glasses are better than I expected and I'm looking forward to working with Dr. Pete in the future. It started out at their Lakewood location when I got my first pair of glasses that broke almost immediately. Fine. We reorder a new pair. I go in 3 weeks later to check in on the contacts. They haven't even reordered the glasses. So we try this again. Get the glasses 4 weeks later but they break again. Request a brand new pair. Have to go to their Westlake office with larger selection. Charge me $50 for a "refitting" despite the fact they sold me crappy glasses. Wait another month for the new glasses. I call the Westlake office a month later and they apparently just came in and "are here for pickup." Go to the Westlake office and find out they are actually at the Lakewood office. At the Lakewood office and they say their opticians are very busy and we will need time to adjust the frames. By this point, my whole afternoon has been shot. I explain to the person that I am pretty frustrated after having been at this for over an hour and if they can get to things quicker. See on the opticians desk that the lady at the front desk messaged her on teams saying I needed a refitting and had a "huge attitude." Some of these things were not their fault. A lot of them are. I will not be coming back next year.

There are a lot of options between them and I but I know I'll get treated right here. Intake involves a combination of human interaction and a variety of harmless machines. All areas display immaculate cleanliness and health safety procedures. Dr. Lander then sits down with you and reviews all the data collected at intake plus your history before beginning her own examination. Dr. Lander is my first optometrist I've ever had relate outside life (beyond just how you see) and extra-visual health with how you see and what she sees with your eyes. For example, we've talked about my heart, mental stress (work), and allergies and how they correlate with what she sees in my eyes. Beyond knowledgeable, she is also very pleasant and comfortable to converse with. Very, very full and widespread optical selection for frames and options for glasses (i.e. Transitions lenses) and three opticians available to set you up nicely. Optician Walter knows how to make me look good in glasses - no easy feat in my case! I let him do the picking and hear how good the results look from folks I know. I know Hillcrest Family Vision offers additional and more complex services like Lasik. But luckily I haven't needed to go that far so can't report any details. IMPORTANT: Yes, they are very busy here! She is popular for good reason. In all the years I've come here, any delay I've experienced was due to other people's walk-in eye urgent situations. I can't blame anybody for this and it's best to reserve judgment; rather just appreciate your own situation and that she's willing to help anyone who's eyes have needs with a little more priority! Hey, when you see a woman come in clasping her hand against her eye with obvious soreness, count your blessings you don't have whatever she's having! Because fat-fingers-me always needs spares, I do buy my contacts elsewhere due to bulk pricing (Costco). Except for that, Dr. Lander fulfills all our optometric needs! Great job everybody!

This business opened 2 years ago (in 2018) in Rocky River so they are still fairly new. The facility is very neat and clean. EYE EXAM -- The whole exam took about 15-20 minutes. You will go through the standard eye check then test your eye sight by reading letters off a board. I also added 2 additional services, a blood pressure test one other test (for a total of about $25 extra). I can't remember the name of the other test but I think it was a glucose test. My insurance covered the eye exam and new frames (new glasses). I paid extra because my insurance didn't cover everything 100%. I also added blue light to my glasses to reduce the effect of eye strain when starring at a computer. GLASSES -- There are so many options to choose from. Cindy, the front desk clerk, helped me choose which frames to get. I ended up with a colourful and patterned DRAPER JAMES frame. Draper James eyewear was started by actor Reese Witherspoon which is cool because I had no idea that she had a glasses line. Worst place to get glasses, contacts, or an eye exam. I wanted to give a local place my business…read moreinstead of going to WalMart. When I called to schedule the exam they asked for my insurance, I told them I don't have eye coverage that I would just pay the full cost up front. After the exam I saw a pair of glasses with a sticker price of $150 dollars. I sat down with the secretary to purchase them, and after she filled out the form the final cost for the glasses was almost $800. I told her never mind I'd just go with the contacts which they said were $68, I said fine. Then they give me a cost for double that (two boxes) plus about $150 for the eye exam. I know contacts are cheaper online so I declined those as well, and said I'll just pay for the exam (last time I went to Walmart and got the exam and contacts for about $150). They again asked me for my insurance, I told them I don't have eye coverage and I'd just pay the total now. They ran my card for the total. Three weeks later I get a call from the office asking for my insurance. At this point I realize what type of bad business this company does. I told her "I already paid the total why would you need my insurance", and she was like a broken record "we just need your insurance to bill them it's probably covered" and I'm like "I don't owe you any money?!" She says ok and next thing I know I get a bill in the mail for almost another $150. So almost $300 just for an eye exam. (The average price for an eye exam is under $100). This is a business that preys on probably an older customer base who don't know there are much cheaper and equally good alternatives.
