Has a New York landscape because that is the place where they are from. The owner is one of the husbands of one of the managers.

Girlfriend's Taphouse has taken center stage, stepping into the old Fatty's Taphouse spot in Stafford with a fresh burst of taste and a whole new vibe. Under new management straight from New York, the place delivers that fast-paced, friendly NYC spirit, complete with speedy service and waitresses who make you feel like family the moment you walk in. The restaraunt is handicap accessible and offers three tables of outdoor seating perfect for those summer days when you want to catch the sun and breeze all at once. With 10 large screen TVs scattered throughout, including five right over the bar, there's plenty of sports action to keep you entertained. An as a special treat football Sundays bring all day happy hour, so you can kick back sip, save, and see sports. The restrooms are clean and include a baby changing station for the little ones. They even have lighted mirrors over the sink but, spoiler alert, those lights don't work, so bring your own glow if you want to touch up...lol. Feeling lucky? There are three slot machines to test your good fortune. oh yeah, the food, the salad was so fresh I thought I died and came back as a rabbit.. The crabcake was spot-on, more crab than batter, golden and perfectly cooked. I got adventurous with a mango lemonade blended with mango iced tea, which was straight-up tropical magic in a glass but cost me a dollar up charge for getting fruity. Now, the mac & cheese? It had a strong boxed mac vibe, nostalgic but not quite my jam since I started making over minimum wage. Shoutout to the staff for offering to swap it out immediately, but since it was nothing really wrong with it besides the fact that I don't like box, mac & cheese, I stayed the course (no harm done). Non-lunch hour menu prices run from $12 to $48, offering a large variety of food, options. The lunchtime menu mostly cost around $10, with a few $14 items thrown in, perfect for a satisfying midday break without breaking the bank. Extra points for weekday deals: Happy Hour hits Monday through Friday, 3 PM to 6 PM, ideal for those early evening wind-downs. Plus, lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11 AM to 2 PM, so Girlfriend's is ready whether you want a quick bite or a relaxed meal. All in all, this taphouse puts a tasty and lively spin on a beloved local spot, and I'm definitely coming back for more of that mango magic and of course a different side dish.

Please stop by Girlfriend's (formerly Fatty's Taphouse) for good food and great service! You can immediately tell these girlfriend-owners are from NYC! All the decor in this large dining room depicts a New York State of mind. Emily brought our items just as ordered and frequently checked in with us to ensure we were good. They have delicious flavored ice teas and lemonades- we got both mango ice tea and mango lemonade. My salad was uber fresh! My Philly sub was delicious- they didn't just throw cooked meat in bread- they seasoned it really well. I wish the meat had filled the entire bun- maybe next time I'll be back for Happy hour (Mon- Fri, 3PM to 6PM) and lunch (several items for just $10, 11AM to 2PM). AND for dinner (need to taste the maple bacon porterhouse!).

Food was good but bar service leaves a lot to be desired. The customer next to us left 30 minutes before us and the dirty plates, napkins and silverware sat there until we left. Bartender was more interested in her friends at the end of the bar than the rest of the paying customers. Too bad because this could be a great place to grab a few and watch the game. We won't stop back.

Had no clue this was up on the hill next to Walmart until I got an invitation to dinner here. The name of the restaurant was a little weird, but the menu looked interesting so I agreed to it. When my friend arrived before me, he was a little concerned by the exterior appearance, but I told him the photos of the interior looked fine and that we should give it a shot. We were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the gumbo which was pretty good. The chicken was so tender and juicy. My friend got a buffalo chicken wrap with the seasoned fries which looked pretty good. Our server was very friendly and stuck around occasionally to chat. I would definitely give this place a try again. Hopefully they'll work a little on the decor and the exterior to make it more inviting for people looking for a meal and not just a drink.

Now Open! Upon seeing the "OPEN" sign, my family decided to stop by and check out the new restaurant. While we hadn't initially planned on eating there, we decided to give it a shot. Since we were the only customers at the time (around 4:30 PM), it seemed like the perfect opportunity to try it out. A quick note: the restaurant just opened the day before. You still get a hint of construction as you walk in, and there's a sign on the door indicating they're still working on getting their liquor license. This means no beer, wine, or spirits for now--just soft drinks (Pepsi products). Pros: * Service: The staff was incredibly welcoming, from the hostess to the staff. Since we were the only customers at the time (around 4:30 PM), we received attentive service from the multiple servers who checked in on us throughout our meal. * Cleanliness: Everything looked fresh and clean--understandable given that it had just opened. * Atmosphere: A great taphouse vibe with an open layout, a generous bar area, and plenty of TVs for sports. It feels like the kind of place that could become a lively spot once they're fully up and running. Cons: * Food Quality: Unfortunately, the food fell flat. Everything, from the steaks to the sides, lacked seasoning, and we found ourselves relying on salt and pepper to add flavor. - Steaks: Both were underdone (my sirloin was rare instead of medium), and the cuts were thin and lacked flavor. My wife's ribeye was fatty and not what we expected. - Burger: The burger, which was highly recommended, was disappointing. It wasn't anything to rave about with the various burger spots in the area. - Ribs: While they were large and had a decent consistency, they too were fatty and lacked the quality you'd expect from good ribs. - Appetizers: The crab dip was decent but didn't seem fresh. * Ordering Issues: There were a few small mistakes with our order, such as missing bacon on the cheeseburger and getting rice instead of fries, and how done our steaks were. Overall: I'm on the fence. The restaurant just opened, so I understand there will be growing pains. However, based on this initial experience, the food didn't wow me, and I'm not sure I'd return soon. I'll be curious to see how they improve once fully operational. For now, I'd recommend giving it a shot, but adjust your expectations and maybe wait a little while for them to iron out the kinks.

This place is great to eat and have drinks. Great local spot to chill with friends. Our waiter were friendly, polite, and attentive. The food was pretty good. Generous portion. Great beer selection. Highly recommended.

I would give 4.5 based on my first experience. My husband and I are foodies so Stafford has not impressed us and we usually travel north or south for good food. However, we thought we'd try Girlfriends since we didn't feel like traveling. It was Sunday afternoon, the service was fine but the food was a bit slow, tasted fresh though and came out hot. We ordered Reuben potato skins because that's unusual and they were pretty good. My husband got a smash burger which was good and the waffle fries were well seasoned. The grilled drunken shrimp were also pretty good, and as part of my meal, offered a lot even though it was an appetizer. We also ordered a side of hush puppies which were plentiful. I think a little too fried but they were fresh and hot. I also ordered a Bloody Mary which was tasty. They have the windows covered so you can't see outside and I appreciate that because you'd be staring at Walmart parking lot or the street. I would suggest in the future they get some lattice privacy fencing up so you can sit outside without again, having to stare at Walmart. Overall, we will come again when we want to go out but don't feel like driving 20-30 min, or want to watch football out.

The chicken finger basket with French fries and honey mustard dipping sauce hit the spot--crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The potato skins appetizer was really good too, loaded just right. What stood out most were the French fries: cooked to absolute perfection, golden and crispy. Service was decent enough and food arrived in a timely manner. Would definitely come back! I like it better than Buffalo Wild Wings and Girlfriends Tap House. Would recommend if you're looking for a casual American food sports bar in Stafford. One drawback was no volume for the big game. That would've been a game changer.

Everyone was pleasantly surprised with the solid draft list and quality of food. Billiards, pinball, and Golden Tee kept everyone occupied as we killed the two hours before our next game.
