Fried calamari
Tuyen P.

Went here to get the hubby's deep dish craving satisfied. There was no wait but you can make a reservation online. First, if you plan on getting a deep dish, it is typically at least 45 mins to get it going. So don't come expecting to get it within 15 minutes. Of course you can order appetizers and other stuff on the side. It was decently busy and not enough server. We got seated but took about another 5 minutes before our server could come to our table. We knew the deep dish would take a long time so we wanted to order that right away before looking at other items. Calamari - it was not crispy so a little disappointed. Came with the typical marinara sauce. 3/5 Salad- normal type of salad. Nothing special but is a good side for a pizza. Parmesan fries- crispy, hot and yummy. Recommend especially if you have kids with. Margherita- well cooked and good. It balanced our meat and more meat deep dish. Not over cooked Meat&more meat- with a meat lover hubby, of course ww have to order a meaty pizza. We got the 14" to share for 4 people amongst other food. After 1 piece I was deep dished out. I'm not a big fan of deep dish but hubby loved it. Overall, except the first 5 mins, our server was awesome. Checked in on us often after. Food overall was good minus the calamari. Could be crispier?

Very nice small Greek salad

I stopped in for lunch and ordered a side salad and personal Deep Dish pizza. The salad was to tide me over for the time it takes the deep dish to bake. The Greek salad was excellent. Great dressing too. I really like their deep dish. Always order garlic on your pizza as it really makes it special. Service was friendly and efficient.

Appetizer combo

When it comes to deep dish pizza I always think of Giordanos! I love their deep dish even though it takes 30-40 minutes to make. We decided to get the appetizer combo and the triangle deep fried mozzarella was amazing with the sauce! Plus those chicken nuggets was delicious too with the ranch! We got the Chicago Classic with mushroom, green peppers, and marinara sauce! It was very cheesy and the crust was one I'll definitely eat. Our server was quick and prompt! It was quiet for a Monday but it's a wonderful place for big groups! There's plenty of light inside and lots of seating area!

Yum!!! Thick Crispy flaky crust, awesome cheese pulls, flavorful sauce covering the top with pepperoni and crunchy green peppers!! Great dinner spot! Our server was so friendly and personable and it was a nice quiet Monday evening dinner. Thanks for a great meal!! I love seeing the pizza on the raised pizza stand!!

Spaghetti with House-Made Meat Sauce, Bolognese - Family Platter (Serves 2 or More) and B.Y.O. Deep Dish Cheese (6" Personal)

We went to eat here on Mother's Day. My wife absolutely loves the deep dish pizza. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and it too was incredible. Our server took care of us very well and we were very satisfied.

Indoor vibes!

I love this pizza place. It's open, there's always a place to sit, they have a small outdoor patio and the service has always been good. A true Chicago pizza place is about the crust and this crust is good. Order their deep dish right away as it will take 40 or so minutes to cook if your in a hurry. I order their cheese bread which is good but they tend to overcook it a little so ask for it not to bo overcooked. Their salads are good and hearty. So get one while your pizza cooks. Once your pizza arrives, you are transported to Chicago as they put that first slice in your plate with the cheese dripping off the pie giving you a true deep dish! Side note: I grade my bathrooms as a 5 Star Bougie (clean, pleasant, smells great, picked up, in order), 3 Star Basic (like home with the basics and equally as clean) or 1 star Bad (filthy, paper towels on the floor, sink is disgusting, smells like a toilet, etc) ... this gets a 1 star Bad! I will be back but they have a few things to work on!

I'm in like with this place, just not quite in love. The atmosphere is great. It's a cute spot with modern decor features. I really wanna come back and sit at a table in the room with the massive windows. They block out the windows in the summer which is completely understandable with the summer sun. The wait staff are always super attentive and kind so no complaints there. We typically get the deep dish pizza that they are known for and can take up to 45 min to get but when you are spending time with family it goes by in no time at all. I am just not obsessed with the taste and I want to be. It could be a personal problem but it just doesn't hit a home run with me. I will continue to come back and explore more of the menu and report back.

One standout for me was the chicken wild rice soup, which was rich, comforting, and surprisingly enjoyable even with mushrooms mixed in -- the flavors were well balanced and hearty without being overpowering. The salad bar was another strong point, with a good range of fresh ingredients and prepared salads that felt thoughtfully stocked rather than repetitive. The pizza was decent -- not the highlight of the meal, but serviceable and satisfying as part of the larger selection. To finish, the ice cream was excellent and easily one of the most enjoyable parts of the experience, offering a classic, nostalgic end to the meal. Overall, Q Cumbers is a solid choice if you're looking for variety and comfort in a relaxed, casual setting. It's especially well-suited for diners who enjoy being able to customize their meal and sample multiple items in one visit. Q Cumbers is worth a try if you haven't been. The variety makes it easy to find something you'll enjoy, and there are a few standout items that make the experience feel comforting and familiar rather than overwhelming. Service is good as staff are good about cleaning stations and picking up dirty dishes.

Because of that, we told her that if there was a complaint or issue, she could let one of the employees know and they could address us directly. Her approach and communication came across as unprofessional, especially since she initially spoke to us as if she were another guest rather than staff management. Only afterward did she state, "I'm the manager here." She later stated her name was Kara. We explained that there was no way for us to know she was the manager, as she did not properly identify herself. The entire interaction left a bad taste in our mouths and ruined our dinner for the night. It could have been handled much better. Whatever complaint she had became very small compared to how poor the customer service experience turned out to be. The waiters were great, but her interaction was horrible. Personally, I would not want someone handling customers in that manner running my business. This was our second time visiting. We had no issues at all during our first visit, which made this experience even more disappointing. We believe some coaching on professionalism and proper identification, including wearing a name tag and introducing herself appropriately, would be beneficial. Unfortunately, because of this interaction, we will not be returning.

This place does get busy so definitely keep that in mind. Luckily I made reservations ahead of time so we had a table waiting for us, otherwise we would have been put on a waiting list since it's a small space. They put us in a corner booth which was nice and spacious enough for 4 people so I'd definitely recommend asking for a booth verse a table if you're planning to come with a larger group. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. I appreciated their attentiveness and sharing what they like best, especially for what's in season based on the time of year. The menu has quite a bit of variety too which is sometimes unexpected when you come to a pub-style location. For appetizers we got Onion Ring and Fried Pickles. They were both really good and served with dipping sauces. Definitely both shareable items so if you're in a group they'd be great options! My entree I chose the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon served with lemon soy marinade, creamy cucumbers, and jasmine rice -- it was SO good!! I loved the creaminess of the cucumbers especially with the rice and than the lemon soy marinade was just a unique touch to the salmon. Toned the flavors down without overpowering acidity. And the salmon was so dreamy, a beautiful pink color that you just knew it wasn't a farm raised salmon. Plus the portion was very generous!! I'd definitely recommend the Alaskan Sockeye Salmon to anyone interested in visiting here. #eatwildsavewild The only negatives (which are more so just knowledge bombs for you): * Restaurant is VERY loud. It's hard to hear because it is one small room that everyone plus the bar is in. I wished I would have took a picture to show what I mean. Just know that if it's an intimate setting you're looking for this is not the place. So be prepared to talk loudly over the loudness and ask "excuse me?" or "repeat that" many times throughout your visit because you're not going to hear everything. * Timed eating. Because this place is a hit with limited seating, once you get a table and complete your meal/payment you'll kindly be asked to leave so that they can clean up and open the table to next in line. Totally get that and am not put off by this at all, but I could see how it could catch some folks off guard especially if you are out for a meal with folks you may not see frequently-- so just keep that in mind. This is not the place to sit and talk post meal. * Parking is limited. Be prepared to walk a few blocks as the road parking in front of the business is pretty limited especially with the other stores and restaurants in the area. Regardless of those few bullets I highly recommend folks visit George & The Dragon. It's a really cool spot and the food was great! Plus theirs a malt shop right next door that looks yummy too, so definitely worth visiting and getting malts after for dessert.

Ambiance is perfect I feel for a family place, not over the top but comfortable? Like your visiting at a friend's house? Second, I got a chicken bowl, white rice, pico, jalapeño & cheese (you get 3 toppings, each additional .65 cents), chipotle salsa (you get 1 salsa). I kind of wanted to leave mid ordering because it just didn't look good honestly but felt bad about wasting food. Bowl looked extremely basic and the cashier still studied the toppings to check if I had additional. there was barely a spoonful of salsa on it. When I got to my destination (a few doors down) to sit down and eat I was a bit disappointed in the lack of flavor overall. Also charging .65 cents for additional toppings seems aggressive for how little they give you. My bowl was 85% rice... I also ordered chips because they are posted as seasoned in house but they were just salty. I was talking to someone about my experience and they mentioned a having similar experience & about the cauliflower option also lacking flavor.

Portions were very generous--I even asked for half scoops! The food itself was average, nothing too exciting, but definitely filling.
