In town for a trip out of LA and what a better way to finish that off than with a Chicago deep dish pizza. My friend who is the local said it was his favorite so we gave it a shot for lunch. I'm glad we took a shot here. My friend is from Chicago and he said it's his favorite here. I can see why. We ordered the special which is deep dish with sausage peppers and onions. It comes with mushrooms but I hate a mushroom so we opted out of that. Our server was Annica and she was fantastic. Good recommendations, friendly service and always kept the refills flowing. It was a weekday so it wasn't crowded but I loved it for that reason. They had TVs with sports news on and plenty of options for where to sit. I started with their house salad but substituted for blue cheese. Great choice great salad with the Asiago cheese and onions. The pizza was really good. Could it have had more sausage...sure but you can never have too much sausage. The cheese was cheesy and the vegetables were crisp. We ordered a special which is sausage, mushrooms, green pepper and onion. The sauce had almost no flavor whatsoever; very bland. The crust was just as bad, with absolutely no flavor at all. It was sort of dry and meh. The pizza was nearly all cheese, green peppers and onions with almost no sausage or mushrooms; see my photo. Overall, I don't see any reason to get their pizza ever again. The calamari was excellent; properly cooked, and included thinly sliced fried lemons and fried banana peppers. Our server was very friendly and helpful. We complained about the pizza, and they cut the price in half. The interior was okay. Music playing in the background, not too loud. Well lit dining room. I had a show that was cancelled at the lat minute. I wanted to stop on the way home for dinner, and Giordano's seemed a good pick. It was right on my way home. I had only had Chicago style pizza at a birthday party at Giordano's on the Strip. I prefer Sicilian style pizza, but I saw that Giordano's had personal pizzas. That's why I went here. I was seated. The server told me it would be about 45 minutes to make and bake. He said most people had their appetizers and toehr things and then eat their pizza. I opted to just get the pizza. It was less than 45 minutes and while I waited I watched a hockey game on one of their screens. The pizza was good. I think that Chicago style pizza should be served with small scissors to cut the strings of cheese that come up with each piece. This is not a pick up and eat pizza; it's a use the knife and fork to cut a piece and fight the cheese so it's not hanging down your chin after you eat it. For dessert, I got their broken cannoli. The cannoli cream is put on the plate and then pieces of broken cannoli are spread on the sweet cream. It was different and I liked this. Something new. The pizza was good. I'm glad I tried it. Recently ordered from Giordano's and had one of the most delicious pizzas I've had in Las Vegas. We placed a takeout order for a large Meat and More Meat deep dish, and it was ready right on time at the one-hour mark. Meat and More Meat Deep Dish (5/5): Loaded with pepperoni, salami, sausage, and bacon, and you could taste every layer in each bite. The mozzarella was rich and melty, paired well with the slightly sweet tomato sauce, all sitting on a flaky, buttery crust. What stood out most was the balance. It was cheesy without being overly heavy, and sturdy enough to hold its shape without falling apart. The portion size was no joke. One slice was surprisingly filling, and even with four people, we still had about half the pizza left. Overall, I was really impressed by both the quality and portion size. The pizza here is fantastic... eventually. Just know this is not a "pop in for a quick slice" situation. Ordering a deep dish at Giordano's is more like committing to a small life event. Plan on about 45 minutes to an hour, so bring friends, conversation, and maybe a hobby. To their credit, my server was awesome. Super friendly and gave me the heads-up about the wait before I ordered, which I appreciated because nothing ruins a day like discovering your pizza is still in its childhood phase 30 minutes in. The pizza itself was great and definitely shareable unless you arrived with the appetite of a linebacker. Now... the bar. I asked for an Old Fashioned and apparently sent the staff on a heroic quest. They tried twice. First attempt: not quite it. Second attempt: they ran out of Woodford Reserve and tried Bulleit instead. Still not it. At that point I realized I might be asking a pizza place to perform cocktail mixology wizardry, which is probably on me. My husband picked Chicago pizza for his birthday meal so we had to come to Giordano's! Glad there was an off-strip location and there was plenty of parking. You can call them to start baking your pizza first before you arrive to reduce the wait time. A chicago pizza takes 40-50 minutes to bake. So we ordered appetizers, we got the mozzarella triangles and it was pretty standard, good mozzarella. The breading was on the harder side but the complimentary marinara sauce went well with it. On to the pizzas, we got 2 large chicago pizzas. One vegetable supreme and one DA PIZZA. For the vegetable supreme, they were able to put the olives only on one side which was nice since I did not eat olives but my in-laws did. The pizzas had 2 layers of cheese and the vegetable supreme was nice and not as heavy as you think. I felt that Giordano's chicago pizza crust was also on the crispier, like not as heavy side for the thick crust so it was nice. The marinara sauce was super flavorful, complimented the toppings well. DA PIZZA was a really nice savory non-vegetarian one, it had spice from the chilis, meatballs and pepperonis for savoryness and together with load of cheese on top and inside. Overall, we had a good experience. Our server gave us a birthday ice cream, which we were delighted to have. I've been wanting to try this out for some time now and I finally made it. So glad I did. The place was not too busy for Sunday playoff football. The service was very good and the staff was very friendly. We ordered a medium salad, boneless chicken (honey, Calabrian chili) and a deep dish pizza. We ordered half Chicago classic and half meat and more meat. This was so cheesy and delicious. If you not an extra cheese kinda person it's not for you. I loved it. And took some extra cheese from my grandson. There are some very good cocktails but my grandson ordered a couple of mocktails. Strawberry margarita and a spicy mango drink. I have been going to the original Giordano's in Chicago throughout my college years, and it had been about seven years since I last had Giordano's until today. To my surprise, the pizza at this location was exactly how I remembered it. I am a vegetarian, and the Margherita has always been my go-to. It was perfectly stuffed, baked just right, and absolutely delicious. We also ordered a side of ranch to dip the crust, which turned out to be the perfect finishing touch to each slice. Our party of four adults and two kids completely demolished the pizza. The pricing was incredible. The total came out to just $55 before tip for all of us, which felt like a steal for the quality and portion size. The ambiance felt very similar to their main location, and the service was excellent throughout. We arrived a little early, and they were kind enough to let us in about eight minutes before opening, which we really appreciated because we were on a tight schedule and knew the pizza would take some time to cook. Our server did a great job recommending the right size pizza for our group--it was spot on. We actually wanted to order a larger one, but thankfully we listened because we couldn't even finish what we had! Dine in or carry out, the staff are always pleasant and as quick as they can be. My go to order is the super veggie. It's loaded up. They have Chicago deep dish and thin crust as an option too. I found this location a few years ago and come back whenever I'm in town. I always have a great experience here. This time I brought my brother who requested we have at least one meal here while in Vegas. Our server Baylee did not disappoint. Top Tier Destination Pizza. Elite Host Annica. We visited July 27th. Greeted by our host Annica who made us feel like invited guests from the opening moment. We were free to choose where we wanted to sit. She handled everyone the whole time we were there and noticed she offered the same friendly and welcoming attention to all her tables. Atmosphere is pretty typical. Everything was clean including bathrooms which are a little outdated but clean and functional. Ordered the small Veggie Deep Dish which was cooked perfectly. From the sauce, which has a little spice but nothing that builds above the perfect flavor level (we are not good with spicy and found this to be perfectly balanced), fresh veggies that were crisp when needed and not mushy for those that weren't supposed to. To the cheese, which was not too much, not too little and a great pull, to the crust which was strong enough to support holding the pizza by it but crumbled when eating. Ideally balanced across the whole pizza which was served warm and remained warm up until the last two pieces as it took us a bit to finish and savor (which we definitely did). Wouldn't mind seeing it served on a pizza stone or stainless steel plate which may not may be an improvement. Thank you to the anonymous cooking staff that was involved in making our Veggie Deep Dish on July 27th and Annica for being the ideal host. Everything wildly surpassed our hopes and expectations. Loved the pizza and experience and can't wait to visit again. We were in such pizza utopia that we even forgot to redeem our Giordano's reward that we had. A must try even for those that may like pizza but may not be drawn to deep dish. Less dense, crisp and amount of dough/bread than a Detroit, which we also love, with more toppings at least in our chosen veggie favorite. read more

Walked in at 2:05. The front counter was unmanned, and had customers waiting, and we were seated 20 minutes after we literally flagged down somebody. At this point, we were starving (hangry to be precise). We placed our orders. waited, ate, rested a few, and left full, happy, and sleepy. The salad was, well...salad. The calamari was not bad either. Giordano's pizza fills you up, though! First time here, though we've hit the Strip location often. This spot is quieter and more spacious, catering to locals rather than tourists. Hubs and I needed to try this place as it was chilly out and we wanted some comfort food. We ordered spaghetti, margarita pizza, soup and Caesar salad. I would give the food a three star and this is after giving the pizza a five star. The minestrone soup was "meh." It needed a bit more seasoning. The Caesar salad was white. I need my salads to be green, but it was mostly the white stalky part of the romaine lettuce. The spaghetti was fine, nothing special. Again, the margarita pizza on a thin crust was delicious. I would order it, again. The server, Darrell, was very attentive. He appeared to be the only server for a Sunday lunch crowd. He did the best he could. Management needs to pay attention. Additionally, the spaghetti came out a good five minutes before the pizza. My hubby and I like to eat together, especially when we dine out. Timing is everything. This was happily one of the highlights to our Vegas trip. I was surprised it was not more busy. The environment felt like family diner meets sports bar? Multiple TVs on with various content but the sound was not on, so it was not overwhelming. The music playing was awesome 2000s vibe Pepsi drink products. The appetizers were great, we got the sampler & the Arancini, a thin crust pizza & the meat deep dish pizza. All of it was amazing and we had lots of leftovers, which tasted amazing the next day. WOW! Where to begin. I recently took out my girlfriend who is originally from Chicago and raved about this place prior to us going. She hasn't had it in years and we were very satisfied. Before we even ordered, we were greeted by a young man named Brandon. He was very friendly and assisted us in finding a great booth. In the corner of my eye, I saw him constantly working hard in the background to ensure the tables were clean. The waiter was awesome and attentive as well. I ordered the sampler platter, which I probably shouldn't have because I ate the whole thing, yes I shared lol. Anyways back to the food, I ordered the Chicago meat and more meat deep dish as well. Boy, oh boy was it amazing. My tastebuds were enjoying every last bite of all the fresh ingredients and I never had such a beautiful crust like that before. I could only have one slice as it was very filling and hit the spot. Before we left, I made sure Brandon was complimented for his hard work and praised the phenomenal food that I savored down to the last crumb of flaky crust of the pizza. I've had New York Pizza from New York but this is unreal. Came here for the first time tonight during happy hour. First off, the sign outside is misleading: happy hour is 3-6, not 3-5. Correcting the signage would be good. We sat in the bar, which was pretty empty surprisingly. But they've got a decent beer selection and a few apps on the special. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread because I love a certain pizza chain's cheese sticks and the ones here look a lot like those. We also split a Caesar salad and ordered a 14" special tavern style so we could have leftovers. So here goes: Cheesy bread was a bit off-putting. It has a sweet finish which was unexpected. I was expecting more cheesy and garlicky. Also the house made marinara is a bit thin. The salad was a good size, but the flavour was also a bit off for me. Not sure if they used shaved Parmesan for the cheese but if so it was thicker than expected and tasted like Romano, which was also unexpected. Now the pizza. Holy crap. Again, we got a 14" tavern style special, which is sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers on a super thin crispy crust. And holy crap it was fantastic. If we'd only gotten the pizza, this would absolutely be a 5-star review. The toppings were great, great cheese to sauce to toppings ratio, and the crust itself is thin and crunchy and just a delight to bite into. And I mean half off certain apps and pints is a great deal. After a spa day, I left feeling hungry. Had been wanting to try Chicago Deep Dish for YEARS, but haven't made it to Chicago yet to do so. I heard this was the place to check it out, so since I was 5 minutes away, what better time to try it?? Greeted by a nice gentleman who offered me seating and took my order. The atmosphere feels like a quiet sports bar meets pizza shop. Chill vibes upon entry, which was great. Opted for a build your own deep dish with pesto chicken and onions, and opted for the regular marinara sauce. The waiter/host explained that they took it up a notch in the back by using the same water filtration system as the original one in Chicago in an effort to make this a more authentic experience. He explained that the pizza takes about 45 minutes to bake, so to combat the wait, I added a started Caesar Salad after he raved about the dressing made in house. How could I refuse? The salad was crisp and fresh with lots of parmesean and asiagi cheese, and he did not lie about the dressing. It was delicious. The portion was just right to keep me busy for a few, accompanied by a root beer - enter my only complaint of the day. The cups were average in size, and filled to the top with ice, which left about a gulp worth of soda in it. Luckily, I was watching my soda portions so I did not complain, but he did have to refill my cup 3 times to get to a normal size cup of soda. Enter the pizza. It was piping hot upon meeting my table, and the waiter was gracious enough to do a second cheese pull shot for me because I missed the first one . The pizza was delicious. Soooo much cheese, and the pesto chicken and onions set the stage for a satisfied customer. I was not as big of a fan of the crust separately, but wrapped in the cheese and sauce made a perfect balance of cut to the density of the toppings. Was a bit pricy, coming in at a $40+ meal, but I had plenty of left overs to take with me for lunch and dinner as 2 slices is more than enough. Side note: For those that do not avoid pork, they do have a lunch special comes with a personal pan pizza for much less, however, it is not customizable (cheese, pepperoni or sausage are the options). When we walked in the restaurant there was no one there to greet us at the front but I saw the female server make eye contact with me from the back of the restaurant and just ignore us. She was very unprofessional and we felt she was being racist towards us. When another party came in after us she saw them and seated them right away. We had to wait five minutes and she kept walking around while still staring at us as if she did not want to serve us. We were about to walk out the door until a male server was able to get us seated. Have not been here in a few years but I wanted to take my fiancé for dinner. We were greeted by Darell who ended up being our server. He was the only server working and apologized for the wait due to the large party that he was busy working with. I thought that was great. The rest was somewhat busy. The lightning was a bit dim. We ordered the Caesar salad and the meat, meat and more meat pizza. We also ordered the mozzarella triangles. The entree size salad was perfect for us. The triangles had so much flavor and cooked to perfection. The pizza was amazing and loaded with all the meat you can imagine and the crust was so flaky with tons of cheese! Darrel did an amazing job and even explained the process of how the pizza is made to be as close to Chicago as possible. He even drew a funny face on our to-go box. We will definitely be going back. I'll start by saying we love the pizza here. We are native to the Chicago area and this is a taste of home. The servers are terrific and very friendly. However, they are woefully understaffed. We went in yesterday to pick up a pizza for the Bears game. The pizza was promised at 3:00 but wasn't ready until nearly 4:00. I get it, it was busy. However, we counted two waitresses who were working the floor, the bar, the kitchen, and being hostess. There was one guy working the carry out window, also trying to do these jobs. While we waited, we saw one group come in, wait at the hostess table for a few minutes, then leave because they couldn't get seated in a half empty restaurant. While deciding to wait for our pizza at the bar because the game had already started, I ordered a beer. When I paid my bill, I was charged for the order of the guy sitting next to me (who had ordered a pizza and a drink). The waitress was able to fix the issue for me, but I wonder if it would have even happened if there was an actual bartender behind the bar. As I said, this is one of our favorite places to eat in Las Vegas, but they need to resolve their staffing issues. read more

So coming to Vegas, this place was on our must try list. The one I've seen was the one on the strip, just outside of the Horseshoe hotel and casino. But of that location, foot traffic, vehicle traffic are horrendous, have to pay for parking, long walk from the parking lot to the restaurant. Luckily for us, we found from yelp that they have a second location, well away from the strip. Located in a regular shopping center, free parking, close to the restaurant's front doors. Nicely decorated, tv monitors located everywhere, appears to be clean. At first entering the male staffer didn't appear to be happy and friendly and wasn't in a big hurry to see us to our table. But as time went on, he started to warm up a bit, and ended up being helpful and attentive. The food was amazing, from the appetizers to the salad, to our deep dish pizza, everything was great and enjoyable. Will definitely have to make this place our must go to place, everytime we're in Vegas. 4 stars from me. read more

He was the only server on duty and did such a great job tending to all the tables. You can tell that he loves this job by the way he treats the customers.
