Edit: food was so good I totally forgot I ordered garlic bread and didn't get it in my order. Came back the next day bc I'm at the truck stop up the road for the weekend and it was good enough for seconds. Let the manager know that I was here yesterday and didn't get my garlic bread and if she could just double check I get it today. She gave me yesterday's forgotten order today! Never had a complaint about the food or the service. I am a pasta lover and alternate between lasagna and baked spaghetti, with a double order of garlic bread. My husband is the pizza lover and usually orders a medium double mushroom, onion and extra cheese pizza or the ham pubwich, on soft bread we sometimes go early and enjoy the lunch buffet! read more

Two for Tuesday is a joke The bread was cut in half we got one inch cubes of bread- 4 with each spaghetti dinner. The baked spaghetti was a small pile in the middle of the pan with sauce all around it- and no cheese. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! And we waited 35 minutes after pickup time to get it!!! read more

I rarely ever leave a negative review unless there's colossal problem, and this location falls into that category. It appears they have a significant shortage of staff. Lunchtime on a Thursday and most of the unoccupied tables are in need of bussing. I sat at one of the only open tables for 15 minutes with no acknowledgment apart from a frustrated glance from a young woman trying to hand out drinks. This is a very small dining room with a minimal lunch buffet, so I don't expect amazing full service. But this is actually the second time in the past couple months that I got up and walked out after having waited 15 minutes, and it will most definitely be the last time I consider purchasing food from there. If they can't get a hold on customer service, it's more than likely there will be serious problems in the back of house, including questionable food practices. Monday night my boyfriend and I had dinner at Gino's in Nitro. If you go ask for Shirley, she was amazing! She said she has worked there for 39 years. We are not often in nitro, but we will stop there again to see her. read more

We were looking for a cold beer and some grub. Went to Katherines Cafe thinking .. Cafe.. NOPE! Had to be 21 to enter and I had two 13 year olds with me so that was a no go. Ended up here. You can either order to go or at the counter or you can sit down and the waitress will wait on you. NO BEER. Oh well. I had a salad, HUGE salad and wings. Both were delicious. Our waitress was super friendly, gloves and mask were on by everyone. By the way the biscuit place is attached to this pizza place as well. Huge drinks, free refills. The pizza was fabulous. The kids were able to not even finish it and we have eaten the leftovers now for two days!! Total bill for 44.50 plus a tip. Great pizza, the cheese was like Chicago pizza cheese... Very skeptical on arrival visiting Charleston for the first time...Looked like a typical chain restaurant. What a surprise...Meaty Wings and Distinctive Flavors came through on the all meats pizza and crust...Could've made it a little more crispy but I was very happy and satisfied.Outstanding service from Ms Shirley What ever Oshel Craigo is paying her isn't enough.. Gino's offers pretty standard pizza joint fare. Pizza, subs, pastas, and so on. Being a West by God Virginian, I've eaten here a gazillion times throughout my years. The pizza is of the thin, greasy, delicious variety. The subs are average - which is usually the case at a place that specializes in pizza. However, I am not writing this review today to focus on the food. I am writing because of the exemplary service I received on a day when I didn't even make a purchase. Gino's has some weird deal worked out with Tudors where many/most of their locations are joined together a la those weird taco bell/pizza huts. So I had eaten at the Tudors earlier, but decided to camp out in the adjoining Ginos while I waited on my truck to get two new tires installed at Marty's Tires across the way. From Ginos I would have a view of the shop so I could see my truck pull around. The staff were very accommodating, even after I told them my situation - that I would be camping out for a while without ordering anything. They offered me water, which I declined having had my fair share at Tudors, they changed the tv channel for me, cleaned a table for me, and one waitress even brought over entry forms for a contest Ginos and Tudors were having. Ginos was giving away 100 bikes Tudors is giving away a Ford F150. She told me if I won the bike and didn't want it, her grandson would be happy to take it off my hands, ha! What a good sport.
