I would not have been comfortable driving in Chicago. Yes-I gripped my seat a couple times when other drivers seemed to be dive bombing into our car to get into our lane. We arrived at the Embassy Suites whole and intact and the cost without tip was about $40 . Our driver had been with the company for over 20 years. The drive back to midway. The following Monday was also in a yellow cab, and with the driver who had more than 15 years experience. I was not as happy with his driving he sped the entire time. And would just honk his horn. Every time he was passing someone to make sure they didn't venture out. I've never had that kind of experience again we did get there in one piece. Cost was the same. Might sound high for a taxi, but frankly to rent a car would've been much more money and to have to drive in that traffic might've caused me to have a stroke !!! This service was reliable and took the guess work out of whether Uber or Lyft was going to show up with the appropriate amount of space.
