I would not have been comfortable driving in Chicago. Yes-I gripped my seat a couple times when other drivers seemed to be dive bombing into our car to get into our lane. We arrived at the Embassy Suites whole and intact and the cost without tip was about $40 . Our driver had been with the company for over 20 years. The drive back to midway. The following Monday was also in a yellow cab, and with the driver who had more than 15 years experience. I was not as happy with his driving he sped the entire time. And would just honk his horn. Every time he was passing someone to make sure they didn't venture out. I've never had that kind of experience again we did get there in one piece. Cost was the same. Might sound high for a taxi, but frankly to rent a car would've been much more money and to have to drive in that traffic might've caused me to have a stroke !!! These two cab rides were the first ones I've ever taken in my life !!! if I ever make it to New York, I'll be walking!!! We would use this service again.

Our driver picked us up with no problem and dropped us off at the airport just as we paid for. We were gone for two weeks and the day before our scheduled return, I received an email saying our return transfer was cancelled. I reached out and was told that a driver was unable to be secured and they were "sorry for any inconvenience". I'd say it is more than just an "inconvenience" for 6 people to be stranded at an airport 5 hours away from home, after traveling for almost 2 days across time zones. The only resolution was a refund in 3-5 biz days. This company should simply not be in business if they are unable to do their job of securing a driver for a trip that was made weeks in advance. Terrible business practices and terrible customer service. If there was a zero star option, that is just what AmRide would get. We ended an incredibly fabulous trip having to deal with the stress of making other accommodations for 6 people trying to get home. My advice...DON'T BOOK AMRIDE!! I repeat, DON'T BOOK AMRIDE!!!!
