I contacted Amride and they let me know that a ride from Savannah, GA to HHI was not a problem. My driver was Christopher, he was prompt, friendly and a pleasure to converse with. Poor service delivery with poor communication. We scheduled a ride for 9am only to to cancelled at 8:37am without any communication. So unprofessional.After booking and payment,we were told to pay extra for gas etc because it wasn't captured in the quote ,initial quote they gave was not correct. read more

Notice AmRide is very quick on email and phone when customer request transportation quote. After AmRide mistakes, errors (or worse), AmRide "goes" silent. Interesting business model. Take reservation, charge transportation to valid credit card. Then, do not deliver. Customer stranded at night. AmRide not out of pocket for one cent.!!. Wonder how much revenue is taken by AmRide, booked and NOT!! provided. Some customers get discouraged, tired, disgusted and do not follow up for refunds and credit for damages incurred. Silence is their friend in these cases. Obvious AmRide hides behind their email when it comes to doing the right thing, and pay for damages. There are more damages, however we keep our $229 damages minimal. NO email answer from AmRide. In addition, investigation is revealing a troubling pattern of abuse, non concern and denial. Online reviews, clearly indicate deep problems without solutions. BBB website has numerous complaints, with very serious operational problems. Once again, pattern shows AmRide has no customer service. AmRite website gives a much different picture of how customer matters. AmRide is 0 Star - Completely Unreliable Avoid AmRide if you value your time, money, or getting where you need to go. They are very responsive when providing quick quotes and answering the phone before charging your credit card. Once your card is charged, the responsiveness disappears. Calls and emails suddenly go unanswered. We were even given the driver's name and contact information. Then 5 minutes before scheduled departure for a group of 8 people, AmRide informed us the 12 passenger van was "not available." Although van was scheduled 3 weeks in advance. Bottom line: you can be left completely stranded. Do your homework and read the negative reviews before booking. There are far too many similar experiences. Don't rely on the reviews posted on their own website -- those conveniently show only the positive ones. Meanwhile, you're left scrambling at the last minute and paying even more money for emergency transportation while they offer excuses. read more

Took a large deposit, confirmed ride, got driver name Raegan, his Chevy make and model and even License plate and photo. I have never been reimbursed for my deposit and they continually make excuses about why they are unable to. I found Amride on google. I needed to bring my mom and dog to Florida from NY. They told me I have to pay a deposit of 60% which was part of the quote they gave me. We were 4 hours into the trip when they charged me for the balance. They began charging my Visa multiple times in different denominations. The bank sent me a text to validate these charges. As the ride continued so did the charges. Now that 8 hours passed my bank alerted me of fraudulent activity due to multiple charges that were pending. At this point my visa was flagged as a fraudulent activity. We arrived down to FL and I went to pay for the hotel the card was suspended. I didn't have much cash on me. I tried to use the card again and it was locked. I had no access to funds. I had my mother with Alzheimer's and dementia with me as well as my 200 pound English Mastiff. Thankfully the driver brought me to a motel so we could sleep after 22 hours on the road. I called and asked them for an invoice that I can send to the banks fraud department. They send me this invoice $0.00. I forwarded to the bank. The bank asked me why is the invoice $0 and they continued to ping my account. It took me a day & half to get my card cleared and activated. They still continued to pull funds from my account. The communication with the staff was horrible. I called to inquire and the woman had no idea about my trip. If I could give zero stars I would. The DRIVER DIDN'T SHO! Booked a 1 way ride out of town (5 hour ride) days in advance, and prepaid. This was for someone else I needed picked up. Paid extra for a nicer vehicle, which turned out to be a rental car. Confirmed drivers are employees, background checked. Sounded like a legit company. Customer service confirmed via 2 emails and even a phone call the night before the pickup. So far so good. Then it went downhill fast. I called the morning of, just to be sure, and asked for the driver to call me, so I could confirm details and even left a tip. I never got a call from the driver. I tried calling driver direct about 30 min in advance myself as the company provides the phone number. Got a message THE PHONE NUMBER WAS CHANGED. Customer service couldn't reach the driver either, because they had the same number, only an email address. I'm panicking. Finally, the driver somehow texted my rider, and said he was still in 4 hours away, and hadn't even picked up the rental car. He didn't look at his paperwork in advance. I had to scramble and find my rider a rental car. Customer service finally called me back, and I didn't even let them finish explaining. Told them to refund me, and fire the driver. They were useless. What's the point in confirming all the details, if your "employee" doesn't even show? Will watch my card like a hawk, and will put a stop payment if I see anything. DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY!!! We booked AmRide months ago for 7 of us and 16 bags for a sprinter van from Las Vegas to Scottsdale. Days before we contacted them to confirm a sprinter van would still be arriving and would accommodate us all plus luggage as listed above; AmRide confirmed this via email. The day of expected transportation, a small Chevrolet van showed up which would not even fit all of us 7 without our luggage. We emailed the company, as no one answered the phone line, and could not get anyone. The driver attempted to try and secure the correct van but was unable to. We were told there was nothing they could do. We had to then find other transportation in the moment costing way more than we originally paid with AmRide (makes sense why...). read more

if possible, I would leave zero stars. On June 20,2024 I booked a ride from the Palm Springs area to Los Angeles to attend a funeral of a dear friend on June 27. This was made clear to the booking agent and the driver. My credit card was charged a 65% deposit on the 20th. On the 25th I received a text "drivers available". I immediately called for a refund. The booking agent Niko and the driver Mohamed assured me I would have a ride and Mohamed told me he would pick me up between 6:30-7:00 am on the 27th. I called both of them at 7:30 to inquire as to Mohamed's arrival time; no answer. By 8:00 am they called back, Mohamed was "so sorry", provided no reason for the delay or why he didn't even call. By now, I would not make it to the funeral on time and cancelled the ride, demanded a refund and told him I planned to contact my bank and the District Attorney to file a fraud complaint. My bank advised me to wait 3 days for their refund to post, and to call the bank at that time and they would activate a dispute as to the charges if no refund had posted. read more

My experience with Amride: Amride pretends to be a car service specializing in long distance service however this is fraudulent representation, as you are only selling your service to "try" to book a car, you do not confirm that you have a car only that you took a booking for a car. In fact you are in breach of contract as you confirm a car will be provided when one is not. The better business service will catch up with you soon and until then I will share on yelp, FB, Twitter and North Eastern university forums etc that Amride was the worst car service (or lack of) experience ever. With 2 days notice, I suddenly had to find someone to drive my car and dog from South Florida to Maine. Panicked, I Called Amride, and they were able to schedule a driver right away. I was skeptical using this company as the reviews of Amride were all so poor; however, this was NOT my experience. I think the only people who have taken the time to review Amride are those who were not pleased. So, as a very happy customer, I want to say I could not have been more pleased with this company from ease of scheduling to the driver they paired me with- a woman from Maine. My driver, Susan, flew to FL, arrived on time as promised and set off with my dog within minutes of arrival. She communicated by text with me every step of the trip to let me know her daily progress and how my dog was doing. She sent pictures and even stopped at a park each day along the way to walk and let my dog play. I am very thankful I found Amride, and I will definately trust them with the transportation of my car and dog in the future. read more

My review is not a stellar one for AMRide, as I ended up driving for over 4 hours in the middle of the night ( 1:45 am pick-up to be at airport for 4am) as the driver never arrived to pick up my husband. Whenever, I called the dispatcher, said they would follow up, but in the end couldn't get ahold of the driver. They did say that the company would get back to me. I am still awaiting that. However, they did send me a message to give them a 5 star review. After 45 minutes of waiting, and calling three more times, I ended up having to drive to the airport myself. My five star review is for my sister and I who rocked the two hours each way to the airport!!! I was using this trip as a test case and was hoping we could have had great service which would have allowed us to use AMRide services frequently. I booked AMride to bring my daughters (18&21) to Newark airport from Cromwell. It would've been $250 each way with another service. It was approx $110 each way with AMride. They sent an experienced driver (Jay) who kept in contact with them (and me) about the arrival time which was delayed significantly. My girls were comfortable riding in their own car and I got to sleep while Jay drove the highways at 3am. I highly recommend the service and have been telling everyone about it. Some friends and I were going to a concert at Metlife in NJ. I called customer service to make sure that the service was available for us. I was assured there would be no issues. I placed an order for the driver and the app told me i would be contacted soon about who my driver is. About 3 hours later i get a call from Kevin at Amride that they have cancelled my trip because there are no drivers in that area. When i said i called and was assured that this was available he told me customer service doesn't know because they are some outsourced customer service. So customer service is a waste of time and so is this APP. They had no problem taking my CC info down though. read more
