This place offers a very wide variety of types of food. They have sushi, salad, all types of stuff. They have this bar thing where you fill a bowl of stuff up (noodles, meat, etc.) pick your sauce, and they fry it up for you, for about $13. That's what I got to eat. This restaurant was very clean. Maybe it was because it was a Monday night, but everything seemed so neat. The design was really nice, everything worked really well together. All of the chairs were lined up nicely. I really love clean restaurants. The food was a little too salty for my liking, but I was the one who picked out my sauce so I can't really complain much there. I ate all of it. Like most other places in Lincoln, they are a Pepsi restaurant. That is my only complaint about this place. I tried my grandmas orange chicken and it was amazing. It was cooked really great and had an amazing sauce on it. This place is a little pricy, but it is worth it. The food here is great, and the restaurant set up is amazing. read more

I ate lunch here recently with a friend. We were looking to try somewhere new and since I heard they had a Mongolian grill, decided I would see how it measures up to Hu Hot. Overall it was good. For 9.50, you can get the all you can eat make your own creations at the grill. We went on Friday and crab rangoons were .50 so that was also nice! The best part was that they offered more expensive seafood items including shrimp, salmon, mussels and crab that at most places is only offered at dinner and is priced higher, so that was a major perk! I enjoyed most of the vegetable options as well, especially the fact they had jalepenos. My favorite sauces were the coconut curry and the Thai peanut curry, but variety of sauces overall was good and they did have a chili paste, hot chili oil, and garlic oil, which are must haves for me when at a Mongolian grill. For some reason you don't mix the sauce with your bowls and instead put it in a separate bowl and it gets put on towards the end. Not sure what affect this had on the taste, but no complaints. The chef making our dishes was very polite and each trip up to the grill he asked us how our food was and if we liked it. The hostess and people up front were also very welcoming in greeting us when we arrived and left. Our server was helpful in explaining the daily specials and asking us how our food was. Atmosphere was very nice, new and clean. Note this review is only judging the Mongolian grill. This place also has a full Asian entree menu and sushi, which would be fun to try sometime but as far a getting the most for your money, the grill is probably the way to go. Ginger is a new "pan Asian" restaurant that opened near Lowe's. It's been open for a few months now and I have had several opportunities to visit. They have a drink and appetizer specials every afternoon. They also have a full sushi bar and Mongolian Grill. I've sampled a couple of their appetizers, I really like the avocado eggrolls! I've never had bad service there however I have heard from some friends that they had some issues. Some of this may be growing pains from starting a new restaurant. All in all I think it's a great place to go, relax and enjoy a nice dinner. The decor is upscale and the seating is comfortable. read more

Tried this place tonight. Not bad, I like it. Its like a cross between Huhot and Asian fusion. The sushi was pretty good but I have had better places in Lincoln like Hiro 88 and Dozo. The Mongolian grill was very similar to Hu Hot, not much difference. What I like about this place is that its huge! Plenty of room for a big group or party. They also have a pretty good size lounge. Its new, so you can tell they are still working out some of the kinks. I'll try it again. read more

All you can eat! Who doesn't love that. This hibachi grill is a good place to find some grinds. You make your own creations and they grill them up for you. The service was good and the selection was limited but you could choose between various meats, veggies, and sauces. Overall, decent place to devour your weight in fusion food. read more

This is the better of the two remaining Chinese/Mongolian buffet places in Lincoln. The selection is good and they have some great sauces to pick from for a great tasting plate of food. I especially appreciate their giant vents over the grill as it cuts down on onion and hot pepper flavors/smells permeating into neighboring dishes like mine as I don't care for them at all. We decided to try Ginger ...since did not want to drive downtown to blue.and Kinji is closed on Sunday nights .we have heard so so reviews from friends ....well now we know...worst sushi we have ever had...this includes hyvee . We ordered 4 rolls all were sloppily made and mushy. We ordered three raw and one cooked. I know even when the name of a roll same as other places does not mean it is the same but not even close to other places. Veggies old fish mushy and sauces tasted a week old. Stay away! We have been going to Ginger for 2 years at least twice a month. The last 2 times we have had questionable fish in our sushi. (I've been eating salmon long enough to know what it is supposed to look like)This last time my son actually got sick. When I brought it to the attention of our server she dismissed it. We never saw management. I paid our bill in full (even for the inedible roll) and left. Poor management to have this happen twice and never came to talk to us. We will never go back. This was my first visit, there is no acoustics in this place. For no more people that were in there, it was very noisy. The SAKE I ordered was supposed to be warm, hell I can pee warmer fluid than the SAKE was. The food was OK, but was nothing to brag about. I'm a big fan of Asian cuisine, so a new restraint in south Lincoln was great to hear about! My friend (who is an avid sushi connoisseur who has even been to Japan) and I decided to try it out, a couple months after opening. We ordered edamame, three different rolls, and the Mongolian grill. The sushi was underwhelming, to say the least. It was visually appealing, but the flavor was bland and the sushi was lukewarm. The Mongolian grill didn't have TOO many options, and it didn't match up to HuHot. All in all, it was a classier Sakura China, with the same quality of cheap buffet tasting food in a more stylish atmosphere. A good place to enjoy a drink, but if you're after a satisfying meal, your time would be better spent down the highway at Asian Fusion. We initially called to ask for at least a refund for missing items OR to have the rest of the food sent, but they did not answer the phone FIVE TIMES. So we had to go there - there was no apology, no explanation, only an offer to refund ONE missing item out of THREE. Super disappointed in their service. I came to Ginger with a Groupon deal as well as the free california roll from checking in on yelp. Our server was very nice and attentive and the actual restaurant was modern and looked great. However, we ordered the sashimi platter and I wasn't very impressed. For the price I was expecting better quality sashimi, but I noticed a slightly unpleasant aftertaste. We used to love going to Ginger for their Happy Hour sushi. Prices are great, sushi was high quality, and there was enough diversity to keep us coming back to visit. While we had a few hit or miss waiters, generally everyone was helpful and nice until our last two visits. We had a waiter forget our appetizer, forget to refill drinks, and was just generally inattentive and unhelpful. The food was still fine so we figured we'd give it another try. The second visit we had a different waiter, but this one still didn't live up to expectations. The sushi did not taste good, it was presented poorly and the quality of it was severely lacking. It felt like they changed their supplier because everything tasted bad. Low quality fish, rolls that were cold when they should've been warm from the tempura, rolls that were warm when they should've been cold. It was just weird. We won't be going back. read more

After coming here several more times and trying other options, I decided to update my review. The regular sushi menu is great. The fish tastes fresh and there is a nice variety of rolls to choose from. The Mongolian grill is also really good. It is by far the cleanest looking with fresh ingredients out of all of the grills that I've been to, and the sauces are also really good. They also take care to cook your dish just right, while at a couple of other places my meat will get very overdone. I also really like their crab rangoon which have a good fresh crab flavor (not the mostly cream cheese ones you'll find elsewhere) and the sauce is a good mix of sweet and spicy. The service has also been good at each of my visits. In sum, I'd highly recommend this place for sushi, Mongolian grill, or happy hour. read more

I was a little worried after seeing all the poor reviews but I had two people highly recommend this place to me, so my husband and I decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad we did. We went the night before Valentine's Day, so the place was very busy, but you could tell they were prepared for that. They were well staffed and everyone was so helpful and kind. The food was phenomenal. I don't know about these other reviews but I know that on a night where it would have been easy to fall short, give sub par service and had rushed, not so great food, our experience was quite the opposite of that. Although the place is nice looking, that's about all it has going. First, the grill was so slow, our friend at our table got their sushi and entree order before we were able to get our food cooked. Second, I was about into my 3rd bite, and a hair about 12 inches long was in my mouth. Took my plate to the manager and mentioned it, he asked which table we were at and took the plate. That was the the last time I saw him. Didn't console me and apologize, nothing. I have not gotten my tab yet to see if they took my dinner charge off, cuz others at my table are waiting in the Mongolian line for half hour. Taste wise, not bad, not great. Ginger is a great place to come and eat because you really are at two restaurants in one. One part of this concept is a sushi place, while the other part is a Mongolian Grill. It's hard to go wrong with either of those foods for me so I really enjoyed ability to have both! I thought the price of the Mongolian Grill was very fair. The quality of the ingredients for the grill were also good. I had a couple of different rolls off of the menu which were both very very tasty.and finally I had some unique fried dumplings that were delicious as an appetizer. So all in all this is a pretty cool place. read more
