Hey this is some great food. I went to go to this plaza for a completely different restaurant, but when I pulled in I right away saw this place tucked in the back and knew I had to try it. It's a small diner but very clean and the traditional decor adds to the experience. Yeah it's a café and it's quant, but I feel like it matches the vibe of the cuisine. The front desk where you take the order was maned by a very pleasant gentleman. Seemed legitimately happy I was to eat for lunch and was very helpful in getting my order in quick and easy. The one note I will say is that this is a cash or check only business. There is no ATM or cards accepted. I can understand this because why increase prices for everyone when you can keep it low for everyone by being a cash only business. Mad props for that. So either bring your cash ($15 is good for app and lunch dish). There is Walgreens around the corner if you want to get a $20 bill cash back. Go here. It's good. read more

Rolling wok is my absolute favorite hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant in Lincoln. They're quick but also the flavor is unmatched. Also huge portions. Been LT (over 20 yrs) customer of this business @ 2 different addresses; but that didn't seem to matter when we last ordered on Sat eve -- clearly stated order w/ limitations & extras (NO ONIONS, due to an allergy & add broccoli & water chestnuts) to my sesame chicken, yet in my 1st five bites I got a piece of chix fat, a chix bone & 2 sm pcs of onion = UNREAL!! I struggled to eat some after this, but found I was just too afraid!! When I called RW back on Sun to address the issue, the lady (I asked to speak to Mgr) was unwillingly to do anything, except issue me a credit for a future meal -- to which I refused!! I stated that after nearly having an allergic reaction &/or choking, I would NEVER EVER be eating there again -- simply b/c she wouldn't issue a refund of approx $15!! FEI -- I am saving my mmeal & will be dropping it off there, as she said they use mistakes in their training) -- ick!! read more

The food is pretty good but I'm so annoyed they don't allow payment with Debit cards, especially in the modern times we're in. They say they'll have to raise prices if they allow debit card payments but I suggest keeping the prices and simply have a fee for debit card holders, which I'm sure is less than a dollar. Simply let the customer know and let them determine if they want to pay it - I certainly would pay a small fee to pay with a debit card. I simply do not use cash or check anymore and I would definitely do there far more regularly. read more

This is my favorite Chinese place in Lincoln, actually, it's my favorite by far in many cities. I lived about 8 blocks from the restaurant for many years and recently moved across town. I still drive to Rolling wok whenever I want good Chinese. They have the best crab rangoons, and my son loves their peanut butter chicken. They don't accept cards so bring cash or a local check. Rolling Wok is my go to place for Chinese food in Lincoln. I usually get take out, especially since COVID. The food is always made to order, thus being fresh. PRO TIP: If you don't want your crab rangoon to be soft/soggy ask to have it packaged separately. They gladly accommodate this request. Rolling Wok always offers a daily special. along with the entre, you get soup of your choice & a small drink. The only downside to Rolling Wok is their cash only or check for payment policy. I got peanut butter chicken and crab rangoons here. It was pretty good, but not markedly different from most of the chinese places in town. They don't accept debit cards, so I had to go get cash. Ok y'all... So this place was suggested to my hubby by a co-worker. I checked out the Yelp page before we went. Looked like great food, good prices, awesome reviews and 4/5 stars! I'm thinking "SWEET"! So yes, parking sucks... but oh well I dont mind walking. We get to the door only to see that they do not accept Debit/credit cards. They only accept cash or local checks. So I waited inside to review menu while my hubby had to drive up the street to the Walgreens to find an atm. Once he got back we ordered. We got the hunan Chicken (NO broccoli, add water chestnuts & bamboo shoots), sesame chicken, combo lo mein, pork fried rice & crab Rangoon's. Food came out quick. Once home and food opened I see they they indeed added broccoli :( but ok I can pick it out... but overall food was bland. Pork fried rice hand tingey looking meat strips (I didn't even bother eating it). The best I can say is... the Rangoon's were good (sweet & sour sauce was watered down), the guy in the front was nice and the prices weren't bad. Unfortunately the rest was pretty horrid. We won't be return customers. The next time we get a Chinese Food craving we'll head to our two favorite places "Golden Wok" & "Hong Kong". read more

Since moving to Lincoln a couple of years ago I've tried several Chinese take-out places, and in my opinion, Rolling Wok is the best. The service is fast, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend. I was talking to a co-worker and we started talking about how good this place is, and she said, "I opened a local checking account just so I can eat at Rolling Wok." Yes, they only take cash or local checks, which can be the only downside if you don't have cash on you at the moment, but I've gone over the corner to the Walgreens ATM and paid the $3 fee just to get cash for my Rolling Wok order. Disgusting! Worst Chinese I have ever eaten. I am shocked by the good reviews! First off for the price you hardly get any food! Chop Stix hands down gives so much more food and quality! We have a family of 5 and usually have leftovers. We ordered the same food and got half of what we are used to. Sadly Chop Stix hasn't been open during quarantine, so we decided to try here. Mistake. My first meal "out" since this all started and this was it! Bleh! Secondly despite not loving my meal I ate a few bites to find TWO black hairs! OMG! I'm going to try to hold myself back from writing this review in caps, but THIS IS THE BEST CHINESE FOOD IN LINCOLN. I love me some Chinese food, so I've tried quite a few places. I always come back to rolling wok when I want food that I KNOW will be good. I always get Tso's chicken and it's always good and fresh and they have the food ready for us very promptly. We love the Rolling Wok for quick take out. My younger daughters like the honey shrimp (it is sweet enough) and my oldest daughter likes the veggie delight. We always get the steamed rice. Best "american-chinese" food place in Lincoln & arguably Nebraska. They have a variety of meals which are extremely reasonably priced for the amount of food you get! They aren't great with any special requests, for example, if you want no onions they're not great at making no onions. The workers there always have it together and know what they're doing. You can call and order your food ahead and they will have it ready in about 10 minutes. They don't accept card but they do accept checks. Just don't write them a bad check or they'll put you on their wall of shame I recommend orange chicken, broccoli beef, and peanut butter chicken. read more

Typical Chinese Food with typical chinese menu. What's good is that they can substitute any of the chicken or meat to tofu. I think this place is delicious, but I have to say they're food is VERY OILY! I feel like saying that is an understatement, it's VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY SUPER DUPER, RIDICULOUSLY, FATTENINGLY OILY!!!!!! I don't really like to eat here much, but my bf likes how they make "Vegetable tofu with mongolian sauce" which is the ONLY thing we order everytime we're there. Crab rangoons - no me gusta. It's very plain and not very satisfying. And the fortune cookies - eck! As soon as I taste it I spit it out of my mouth! :( Panda express has better ones. What i also didn't like is that because they close at 9:30, if you come at 9:15 they will make your order to go and won't let you sit because they want to clean up. I think that's very inconsiderate of your customers. On the good side, their service is very quick, they give a good amount of rice with the entree, and they deliver - but after 5pm. They don't take credit cards, so make sure you bring a local check or cash! Bottom line: I don't like coming here. The only reason is 'coz my bf does.
