This is my favorite coffee place to visit when in the area. The staff are helpful and friendly, there are plenty of seats/tables and the coffee is delicious. Such a relaxing place to enjoy time with friends or to grab a drink and study.

Best coffee I've had in a while!! We're from the Cincinnati area but were up in Berlin this weekend. Truly one of the top 3 coffee places I've ever been, and I've been to my fair share. Loved the fall menu & signature drinks. Cortado was on point! You have to try this place out!!

The best coffee! I had a maple sugar brave. It was delicious! They even accommodate options for dairy free. The atmosphere is so beautiful and charming. I loved all the detail. I didn't have food so I can't speak to that. I wish this place was in my home town! Loved it!

A great coffee shop in the heart of downtown Berlin! My husband and I went there to grab some coffee to go to start off our day. There's plenty of spacious seating indoors for those that want to stick around, and also some seating outdoors. They have a great coffee menu, including some pour overs and aero press coffee. On top of that, there are power bowls, and bagels, avocado toasts, etc. my husband ordered an iced latte flavored and I got a pour over coffee. The latte was a tad sweet even with sweetener cut in half, and the pour over coffee was okay. But still good coffee and would def go back again. Coffee prices are average but food prices are fairly reasonable. Hope to visit again some day in the future :)

Cold Brew

I always visit this coffee shop when I'm in Berlin. My favorite coffee is the cold brew. I also really like the baked oatmeal.

Honey Bee Frappe was the most amazing drink ever!

Be aware that this is a cash only place but they have an ATM on site…read more Decide to try this place as it was close to our hotel and I am so glad we did. This is an old style diner with some counter seating and quite a few tables. They do not take names, so you just have to stand in line and wait your turn to be seated. This process was different for us but it went really well as we had probably 3-4 small groups ahead of us but were seated within less than 10 minutes. The service was very timely but not overbearing. We had drinks and our order taken probably with 5 minutes of being seated which was very nice. We got our food within probably 10-12 minutes of ordering which I thought was really good given how busy it was. As for the food, it was all very good. I had the biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, hash browns and a sausage patty all of which was very good. The sausage is their own recipe which was a little less seasoned than most but it was a very good patty. My wife had her usual eggs over easy, bacon and toast and she liked it all. The bacon was a thicker cut applewood smoked which was tremendous (she let me try it). We may try it for lunch or dinner if/when in the area again. I would definitely recommend this for breakfast if you are in the area.

Never order online! I placed a surprise birthday order for my brother on July 9 for his birthday…read more When he didn't acknowledge it, I called Heini's to check on the order after verifying that payment had gone through on the 9th. No-one answered during their stated business hours so I left voicemail. After not getting a return call, I called again. The woman I spoke with looked it up, verified that payment had been received, and said it showed in their Paypal receipts but didn't go through to their website ... She took the order and said she would personally walk it through and it would be shipped out Monday. After still no acknowledgment by my brother by Thursday, I called to find out when it had been shipped but had to call numerous times before someone answered. I was told the order was canceled. When I responded that I had not canceled it, the response was "Didn't she call you?" One of the items wasn't available and she was supposed to ask whether a substitution was acceptable but apparently just canceled the order instead without notifying me. The woman I was speaking with said she would get it sent out but I told her I wanted a refund since it had now been 11 days and the order still hadn't been sent. The good news? I ordered from a competitor Amish cheese company and got more for $25 less!

I feel like there is something for everyone here! My husband thought the Dutch apple pie was out of this world. I thought it was different because it was chopped oats. We were not a huge fan of the chocolate chip cookies, the texture kinda got me, and the chocolate chips were an interesting flavor. My mom thought the pecan tarts were so yummy. I could literally taste how fresh and homemade that dough was, I thought it was very good as well, but probably would try something else instead next time. The cinnamon roll was interesting because I thought it was a lot more Joey than we used to and it had an icing on top. I actually really liked it. I am not someone that likes the super glazed sweet stuff so this was the right amount for me. My husband and I were not huge fans of the Fry pies. They were glazed, which is a personal preference. But the filling was just too much for me, I like more writing than filling, especially in the middle. It was a little overwhelming. I also felt like they were filled with more of the canned stuff rather than fresh bc of the consistency. The fresh sourdough bread was out of this world. I'd definitely recommend getting a bread loaf!!!

We have tried many baked goods in the area and I have to say the glazed donuts were one of the best I have had. So light, pillowy and full of flavor. Everything like traditional cheddar and swiss to more unique options like veggie, and buffalo wing. Most of the cheese had samples. It was a perfect way to get a sense of the differences between some of the varieties (standard vs smoked vs aged for example). Most cheese could be purchased in blocks, slices and cubes. They also had some beef stick options, dips and cheese fudge. I had never heard of cheese fudge before so was very intrigued. It had a different texture and flavor than traditional fudge but was definitely worth trying. They also have traditional fudge on the other side of the store. There were workers behind the counter actively packing cheese and willing to answer any questions you might have. Much like other tourist attractions, you have to walk through the gift shop to get to the cash registers. The line was kind of long, but it moved fairly quickly. This was a great stop with a lot of tasty products. Definitely recommend a visit!
