The grounds were gorgeous and 2 of these stars simply go to Oscar, the resident cat mascot here. Oscar walked the hilly trail with us and accompanied us on our tour of the grounds. My BF was so enamored with Oscar that we might have to stay at one of the honeycomb suites just to lure Oscar into staying a night with us, LOL! So back to the restaurant here--wow! I'm not easily impressed with fine dining or upscale American fare but this place gave me a great experience. We didn't have reservations but they were able to offer us the last table for two. The ambiance was classy, modern with a classic twist and filled with complementary lighting for that romantic view. Our waiter was animated, warm and very knowledgeable about all the dishes. The free "bread" that was offered was so unique and good we bought a second helping. I had a clams tapas dish that had a good enough portion to keep me full!
