For the last four months, people have been dropping by and leaving pamphlets from roofing companies. One day I happen to be at the right place to see a pamphlet dropped off, so I called the young man who left the pamphlet and asked him to come take a look at the roof. Devin showed up the next day to inspect my roof. He told me my roof is in bad shape and my insurance should be contacted for the hail damage he saw. I contacted my insurance company and an adjustor arrived 2 days later. Devin helped me navigate insurance steps and met with my adjustor. Fortunately for me the hail storm damage was reported in time and I was able to get a new roof with my insurance covering the costs while I pay my deductible. Many thanks to Devin for his hard work. He facilitated the whole process for me. He is polite, helpful, reliable and trustworthy. If he says he will take care of task, he does. My bf was at home with him while I was at work, so I did not see the end result until Mike was gone. He got the light hanging, I'll give him that, but he left the cords and chains all bunched, 2 out of 3 of the globes broken (just found that when we had to take it back down ourselves), and he has not responded to either of my texts about adjusting anything. Now I have to call another electrician to redo how the cord is wound thru the chain because it is firmly anchored on both ends so I can't, and I'm afraid of my light being further damaged. I feel like I need to send electrician #2 back up in the attic as well to check behind Mike and ensure that he did the part in the ceiling that we cannot see correctly. Mike is unprofessional, dismissive and does not stand by his work, I suspect because he was aware that he broke the 2 globes when he hung my light, didn't say anything & just took my money and washed his hands. I will never be doing business with Johnson Electrical & Power again (not that Mike cares or he'd answer my text), and I'll be sharing this shameful experience with everyone I know.

Jake, the owner, quickly responded to my request for a quote. He described how they would do the ceiling. He had a machine that had a vacuum attachment that removed nearly all of the dust. The prices for most of the movers that I contacted were pretty similar. What set Moving Hearts apart was that they are veteran owned. On moving day, one of the movers was on time, the other was quite a bit late, but true their word, they didn't charge until both were on the job. Some started charging the moment the truck left their facility. While we had already moved what we could fit into our van, for a two bedroom house, there was still quite a bit of stuff. The movers didn't anticipate the amount and they really should have sent a bigger truck. The move was local - 3.5 miles - one end of Old Monrovia Road to the other. It still took 2 1/2 hours, though some of the time was trying to fit everything into the too small truck. It was hot yet the movers didn't take a break - they worked their butts off. There was absolutely no damage on either end of the move - I've never experienced that, even with the most careful movers. They did a fantastic job. I would hire Moving Hearts again in a heartbeat.
