    Beware of Bait-and-Switch Financing

    Beware of Bait-and-Switch Financing My brother and I visited Gillman Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram to purchase a used 2015 Toyota 4Runner they advertised for $14,999 with a $248/month payment option clearly listed on their website. We were ready to buy at that price and drove across town expecting a straightforward deal. Instead, we ended up waiting over 2 hours while they ran credit checks and asked for 3 months of bank statements--despite us already qualifying. After all that wasted time, their finance manager Nick Coray presented us with a 16% APR offer. That's right--sixteen percent on a used vehicle they advertise at an affordable rate. Total bait-and-switch move. If you value honesty, efficiency, and fair financing, steer clear. This dealership wasted our time, pulled a shady financing trick, and tried to pressure us into an outrageous rate. Plenty of honest dealers in Houston will give you transparent pricing without games.

    Like you weary shopper I was very leery of the past reviews from this dealership after a shopping radius of 250 miles in my search for the right Jeep Wrangler Rubicon I was exhausted . I think for this dealership if you find the right individual it makes all the difference in the world. I had the pleasure of working with Sergio Pardo. He was phenomenal from start to finish he did not play any of the standard games. He was an effective communicator, endlessly honest, and without a doubt my favorite out of the bunch of sales people I've ran into. Please give this man a raise ! When I asked for particulars he delivered, he was a fair negotiator and I believe I got a fair price on the vehicle and the Dealer was made whole. Which is all we are all hoping for. In this ridiculous market for vehicle I think you owe it to yourself to give this team a shot at the sale. Jason Khoda, personally gave me a call to reach out to discuss particulars and was very responsive to my text messages as Sergio's manager. Happy Hunting

    I was looking for a new car because it was time to upgrade and plan for the future. Looking for cars was time consuming, but worked out in the end when I found Gillman. They provided me with excellent service and customer care. Patrick assisted me throughout the process and was very patient with me as well. I had a lot of questions and was pretty indecisive. He wasn't pushy and trying to sell me the most expensive car, more asked me what I needed. I ended up picking the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and traded in my current Jeep with a good deal too. Overall the experience was phenomenal for a car dealership. I was skeptical at first but Patrick was no joke. He is very knowledgeable about the cars, cares for his clients, and will answer every question you have. He is an excellent employee at Gillman and I highly recommend him on your next visit.

    Paint bubble on the hood. Maybe this is the reason why the Jeep wasn't fully dried when delivery (to camouflage the imperfection)

    Beware of this dealer and its unethical practices. From the moment The finance guy asked me to sign a form stating that he had explained all the documentation from the purchase before going over the car purchase agreement , I didn't feel comfortable and should have run out of his office. But I didn't and I got scammed. It was clear the finance guy was upset because I declined to purchase the mopar coverage offered by the dealer. Since the beginning I politely declined the offer, but he kept in pushing the sale and making up "deals" and discounts, very dishonest. (At one point his offers were ridiculous and insulting [like offering a discount for being a Cosco member or live in a certain neighborhood]) Also, In the original contract, the Finance Dept was very careless because later on while checking my bank account I realized I ended up with a different bank. They never told me . I also found out because the first bank (original loaner) informed me my application was missing vital information. (Anyways I already explained this to corporate [offered apology, but still got screwed up]) I didn't feel comfortable how they managed my personal info (to the point I am keeping a close look at my accounts). Very disappointed with the Jeep experience! Frank cooked the numbers so well to his advantage that I ended up paying over 1.5k for a "nitro package" Somehow it is embarrassing to write how I was taken advantage of, but I'm doing it to warn other Jeep enthusiasts. Anyways, just heads up and don't trust them . You won't be seen as a client, but as someone they can take advantage of. Furthermore, I have the feeling they deliberately did not give me a pristine vehicle. The pictures will highlight the irregularities not acceptable for a $45k+ Jeep. Worst car buying experience ever! BEWARE! They even had to nerve to offer me a tank of gasoline in exchange for a perfect review in the corporate survey. Even with the current gas prices I felt it wasn't ethical to give them a nice review. I just told the guy who called I would be objective. The Jeep is a Wrangler 2022.

    2022 Wagoneer sold by Patrick Wilson

    Purchased a 2022 Wagoneer from Patrick Wilson in Dec 2022. Wasn't quite sure how much knowledge he would have and if my questions would all be answered with the Wagoneer being new to the product line, but he exceeded our expectations. Super knowledgeable about the features among the different Wagoneer models. We used our own bank for financing so I can't rate that service. The finance/closing guy was super busy due to the holidays and short staffed on NYE, but it went much quicker than previous car buying experiences. Trade in was close to blue book. We are happy with our purchase and grateful that Patrick was eager to help us out in finding the right vehicle. It's not often that a sales person stays at a dealer, I noticed Patrick had all sorts of awards on his desk representing his years of experience at Gilliam. When we are ready for the next upgrade, I know he will be there.

Joad (Sales Manager) & Zuri (Sales Agent) do business the old school way. They stand behind their product, no B.S. Bait & Switch, and take care of their customers to no end! They offer a 7-day warranty on there vehicles and dont just sell you junk that you have to be worried about breaking down the minute you roll off the lot. They sold me a solid business van for my fleet, that had low miles and it was the cheapest priced vehicle online in the entire country. They are in business for the long haul and understand the importance of reputation. They treat people with the upmost respect regardless of price on car, like some other dealerships. Motors on Wheels went above and beyond for me to make sure I was 100% satisfied with the esthetics and mechanical integrity of my vehicle, which gave me peace of mind! Never experienced this level of customer service and professionalism from any dealership, not even the big manufacturer dealerships. They earned my business for life. I will be purchasing all of my future business vehicles from them!

Since I've moved back to the Heights downtown area, I decided to give them another shot. So close to five stars! I utilized the valet service where they pick up my vehicle, do the oil change, they did a great job as well change the air filter, wipers, etc. that was a 5 star experience! That was an easy five star review for that service. It did an amazing job. I was out of town for three days so they picked up my vehicle. Did all the test and maintenance and everything like that and I come back on my vehicles at my valet. That was super convenient and very nice. I will always utilize that service. However, there was a bit of a scheduling issue. They forgot to pick it up Monday so I had to give him a call, but they got it taken care of that wasn't a big deal. I just kind of falls back to fundamentals if you have an appointment scheduled and sit pick the car up that way there's no confusion and I would have to call to make it happen. They brought the vehicle back and there was like oil stains on the front fender area. Typically most oil change companies cover that that way when you get the car back, it's not dirty. The problem is I just gotta wash at Mister car wash so I had to go take a bath and get it washed again. This is why I give them four stars instead of five. Other than that, it was a great experience. Customer service is great. The convenience of the valet service to pick up and drop off back at my valet. I can't tell you that right there is top-notch service. I'll give them a try again and probably change this to a five star because overall the experience was great.

    I recently purchased a 2021 Ford F-150 Lariat from Tommie Vaughn Ford in Houston. The vehicle was…read moreadvertised online as "Ford Blue Certified," which includes inspection and warranty coverage. After the purchase, I was not provided any certification paperwork or warranty details. Shortly after, I was informed the truck had a coolant issue that could require a full engine replacement. When I returned to the dealership, I had to push multiple times and show proof of the listing before they acknowledged the certification. Even then, there was a delay in providing proper documentation, which raised concerns about whether the certification had actually been completed correctly. During the financing process, I was presented with paperwork reflecting a much higher total amount than expected (around $50k vs. approximately $39k discussed), which I had to question before proceeding. I was also presented with additional add-ons that I had to decline and have removed. In addition, the truck was not provided with a full tank of gas at delivery, and despite the situation, I was not offered any form of compensation for the inconvenience. Due to the condition of the vehicle, the lack of transparency, and the overall experience, I chose to return the truck. I recommend that anyone shopping here verify certification directly with Ford, carefully review all paperwork before signing, and request all documentation upfront. Do not rely solely on how the vehicle is advertised online.
